Expedition Leader Krupp  

Killed him 3x tonight. All three times he dropped the augment. The third time he also dropped the Abstruse Remnant of Knowledge. Need to add this to his loot table.

Confirmed today, Krupp dropped the Rem of Desire, kill him about 30 times and this is first I've seen so must be ultra rare though.

Killed him today just me (88SK) and my merc. Was pretty tough fight with the adds, but doable.

He spawned at a statis spot right in the north west corner.

Dropped Explorer's cape, Abstruse remnant of Fear and a Median spell thingy.

Far northeast corner of swamp, in the middle of all those undead froglock restless spirits. Spawned in place of one that is not static, and just kind of floated around.

Tried pulling him with dots and snares, and he always brought 6 - 8 friends. Dunno if a necro can get him solo. Didn't really have time to try with the chanter.... he sees thrugh invis to undead by the way and casts something called Achilles Cut that lasts like 45 seconds and did 1950 a tick to me...which kind of sucks cuz puller gets no heals .

does 3k a tick lasts for 1 minute.. guess mod 2's change that to 1950. Oh yeah, it's a snare ..and that snare sucks too.

Defeated by: 87 Necromancer, 86 Magician, and 85 Enchanter all with T5 Healer mercs. The 86 magician pet tanked with one summoned agro weapon and one summoned stun weapon. Magician had Enhanced Minion 8 and max pet aa's right before the expansion came out, but none of the new HoT aa's.

Expedition Leader cons yellow to a level 87. So it is level 88 or 89. It looks like any of of the restless souls in the extreme Northeast of the zone are placeholders. It was pathing back and forth through the whole graveyard area and I got lucky with the split.

The encounter is a bit more complicated than it looks at first.

A little after aggroing Expedition Leader Krupp spawns two aggro-linked ghost adds. If you try to feign death them off you they will despawn eventually but they respawn upon reengaging. This was an unpleasant surprise the first couple times I tried this. Especially since I at first assumed the ghosts were simply adds that pathed across my pull lane.

Thankfully, these two extra adds are mezzable and I had my pocket enchanter with me. The two ghost adds and Expedition Leader focused on the air pet while the enchanter mezzed the two adds and then slowed the Expedition Leader. Not sure how the pet really survived the massive beating he took, mostly got lucky I think, plus I was quick on the draw with the enchanter after two previous wipes.

Dropped: Abstruse Remnant of Devotion, which looks to be the HoT equivalent of clays and essences for creating visible armor

and nice melee back item whose name escapes me at the moment...maybe 950hp and similar stats, attunable.
