In late 2001, Equestrielle's horn was broken off by Firiona Vie in an effort to defeat an invading Cazic Thule, causing the unicorn to become permanently Equestrielle the Corrupted.
The corrupted Equestrielle still roams the forest.
Formerly of Lesser Faydark.

Just an FYI, so far as I know Equestrielle doesn't spawn anymore, just her Corrupted version. I want the pretty, non-kos to me version back, running all over LFay away from the corrupted gets old...

I just kill the corrupted, i am a lvl 56 pally and she was light blue to me....she must be about 45

I dunno about this one personally, but the Corrupted is not 60, or isn't always 60. I have seen it con blue to my 54 druid. So...yeah, whatever that's worth.

I did a lot of travelling through LFay at the time i was late thirties to early forties and not once did i see her deviate from 40.

Last night while helping a young cleric do his Initiate of Tunare quest, Equestrielle harm-touched one of use, then ran up and smacked me in the face with an enormous headbutt. CRUNCH! We all zoned, invised up, and zoned back over to LFay. Being the kind group we are, decided to let bygones be bygones. No. No, that just won't do. We hunted the wench down. Found her near the Nybright camp. We were INVIS, I saw her running straight for me, and conned her. She was INDIFFERENT. She headbutted me, therefore knocking invis off. Tried to root. Failed 3 times and was down to 1 bubble of health. GO GO GADGET JBOOTS! I haul ass out of there.... and she doesnt follow me. She headbutts our 45 cleric once, then runs off. Not one point of damage had been done to her and she ran off. I got a heal and we resumed the search.

The version of Equestrielle you're talking about is Equestrielle the corrupted, she appears as a jet-black horse, no unicorn. This thread is about Equestrielle, an enchanted unicorn who roamed the LFay zone some time ago, before a GM event sometime last year. I remember it was before the Hallowe'en events, not sure how far before. During this event, Cazic-Thule had unleashed his fear upon the Lesser Faydark, the sky turned blood red, and many of Tunare's creatures were "twisted". Undead Sprites replaced many of the pixies, and ALL of the faeries at the fairyring, and Equestrielle was corrupted (graphic used is that for the blighted mare, which no longer spawns). I do remember that a lot of the quests that were set up as part of the event were bugged. Anyway, see the Equestrielle the Corrupted thread for the beef on her there.
Btw, Equestrielle the Corrupted is not GM controlled, she just has very weird pathing, and none of my roots took, but she can be snared.

Ok people i hate to say this but equestriell is no longer she was corrupted by cazic thule and had her horn removed by fv so now she is evil and will attack whoever is in her way. So in short the good equestriell is evil and she isnt white with a pretty horn she is as black as tar and yes she is around level 40ish now as for the good equstriell (witch i repeat NO longer spawns) im sure she was more like 60ish. the only unicorn who roams lfay is the pained unicorn and that is it but if u wanna know more about this dark day in the realm of lfay look up the frightlings quest. Both versions still spawn. Today I saw the good one and two days ago the corrupt one kicked the dookie out of my lvl 17 chanter right after zoning into Lfay.

well the crupped one might be i playin my 26 druid was in lay fay helpin my friend get his corpse from mistmoor i was sittin out side of the zone sittin in wolf form when this horse attackin me doubled me for 112 each and then kicked me for 40 ish when i zoned into mistmoor down to 1 and 1/2 bub hp i was siitin medin with kei and then healed to full and went back and if i am correct when u zone takes u off hate list well i zone in and i check track and to my suprise after abut kickin 5 min earler he was stright out from the little valley that heads to mistmoor and ot my suprise i didn't expect this but hhe coem runnin for me and hat i said earlier shouldn't i be off of the hate list? so why is he runnin to me? so i high tal\il it back to mist more again baley misssing death and i couldn't gate cuz i am bound right out side of mist moor so i finally go back and i don't see him on the track so i suppose that he depoped so i track my friend at the gay fay zone and run stright to him and what do i see the stupid horse kills me and i am sittin at gay fay waitin for some help from my guild so i sit there and wait while my friend goes and gets his corpse and then gets in rouble i nthere so i gate there and try to help him and then i zone in a big train kills him and i zone back and there was the stupid horse so what am i soposta do a big train on one side and a stupid horse on the other i chose the train i root em all and heal my self so i ma oom and i sit there wait till the root wares then i zone back and my friend comes runnin to me and hte horse is chisin him he sees thru my invs and wolf so i start runin he stunns me and kills me so i go and run back to gay fay and wait for my guildies and finaly they come a 53 pally (new recruit) and a 52 druid (leader) and the druid goes lookin for my corpse with no luck and the pally stays protectin us my friend goesand gets his corpse and then he dies to to the horse in front of mistmoor so i gate and get his corpse usin sprit of cheeta and the stupid horse chasin me i pull em back to the pally and the pally kicks his arse well good bye to him every one is ok and has their corpse but me so what do i do i go to pok and ask a 14 bad to find my corpse he dose thank god and i reward him somthin like 30 or 40p and ten the pally rezzes me and right after that the bard gets lost so i track him and i find him and he gets killed by a brownie but luckly i had wolf form so of course i drag his corpse to te pally and the pally rezzes him and thank fully aftwer like 3 hrs of freeking dieing every one gets back tho my friend lost his lvl and i luckly had enough exp to keep 26 barley and we all go back half dead from leep exuastion (from stayin up from 1am to 4 am to get through this mess) finally i don't feel like goin through lay fay till 50 then u will pay u stupid horse so i wonder every time the horse ran to me when i zoned that that means that it might be gm controled cuz i was usre not in range and was off hate list from zone ing makes me wonder

1 sad, sad day in Lesser Faydark, Tunare came down from the Plane of Groth to the Lesser Faydark to investigate something of Cazic Thule's doing. Among the people that followed her were, of course, Firiona Vie, probably the most known High Elf in the game, & a few PCs.
The God of Fear, Cazic Thule was already there, waiting to ambush Tunare. Before the attack began, Firiona Vie dawned a full suit of Fine Plate armor & drew the Paladin High Elf's epic sword, the Natures Defender. All of Tunare follower's surronded Cazic Thule & tryed to defeat him. While Cazic Thule attacked Tunare, She gated out & let her followers take care of Cazic Thule.
The person leading the charge, Firiona Vie landed the starting blow. I will not go into detail of the battle for it would be a very long type. But, what I will say is that during the battle, Firiona Vie's best friend, Equestriele had to make a sacrifice. To defeat Cazic Thule, Firiona Vie had to break Equestriele's horn off her head & this is what was used to defeat Cazic Thule.
Equestriele was never the same again. Now, she is a nightmarish black color & attacks many of the travelers that wander across her path.
I heard that all of the people including the people that died were rewarded by Tunare for thier efforts. I am not sure of this because I was not even playing when this happened. Remember, I do not know if this is what really happened. This is just what I read on most of the sites that have this event posted.

What good is this horn? I just looted one and im really disappointed that the percent to bardsong is less than a minotaur horn which is much much easier and far more common to get. The purge is limited and you get a lightstone effect. Is that it?

Where does the corrupted version spawn and how long does it stay up? Also does anyone know where she roams or does she just kill every druid/elf type in the zone? Ah have a map of those evil lil brownies' paths which is good...but this thing snuck up on me 3 times an blasted me to goo, once ran right through the wood elf bar to git me!

Ummm All you people talking about the black corrupted version of this beautiful creature, get your facts straight!!!!! THis is not the evil version, this is the good version, so go to Equestrielle the Corrupted's forum and discuss how you've killed that evil horse there please. It really annoys me when I goto check out information on one mob/npc and people start discussing another mob/npc. Please make sure you know what you're talking about before you type.. This lovely unicorn is not a shadowknight P. And a 40th lvl isn't not going to have an easy time with taking her down.

She made 3 attempts to kill me, I got killed the second time, high tailed out of Lfay with her hot on our heels right up to the zone on the third time during our corpse run.

Odd sounding, eh? But it's true...It seems that Verant changed the zone for a very brief time, saying that Cazic-Thule had taken over the Lfay by tricking and corrupting the unicorn Equestrielle. Tunare grew angry with her, and took her horn. Now, Equestrielle the Corrupted wanders the lesser faydark, exacting her revenge upon Tunare's children, namely The Elves. The odd thing is...This only happened ONCE, and then the Lfay reverted back to it's natural state...Not sure if it will happen again, but if it does, BE CAREFUL...she hits HARD and runs as fast as a SoWed Monk...so take care.

I have seen Equestrielle spawn. I am not sure if it is an Equestrielle or if I can still see it when I finally decide to buy EQ again but I saw her in Korean servers. I wanted to pat her a bit but I was afraid because she conned red to me though she was indifferent.

i was in lfay today and the zone was still changed and under cazics influence from what i saw
and what i heard about equestrielle was firon was tricked by cazic he basically told her if she were to pull off its horn everything would be restored in the faydark thats just what i heard

Yeah, we killed her too. The NPC that talked about her was missing a file to open though. We gave him her horn, hoping it would do something, but it didn't.

We also killed equestrielle the corrupted but we cannot figure out what to do with her drop. She dropped Equestrielle's eye and Unicorn horn fragments. We opted to keep her drop and see if we can find out what we should do with it. The ranger outside Mistmore seems to cut off short, his speech doesn't even end with a period, it just kind of stops. So i'm not sure. If anyone knows what we're supposed to do with Equestrielle the Corrupted drops, please let us know!!

Well, tonight (6-13-01 early am) on the Lanys T'Vyl server I was running an chore for a friend of mine (buying thicken mana) and I got smoked by this horse, all black slower then greater wolf form if you run in a strait line. did 401 in one hit and melee's for 100+ red to me at 35. Oh and BTW see's invis.
anyone know its lvl, I have some higher lvl friends who I would like to see tame this mare.

Its a level 40 Shadowknight, and will use Harm Touch the first chance it gets, which does the 401 points damage. I ran into it and it used Harm Touch on, hit me a few times, which took me down to 1 bubble of health, then used Fear on me. When I regained control, it ran past me, like it was out to thump on people but not kill.

he was light blue to me at lvl 55, he double attacked me for 112 once. if hes lvl 40 hes a big undercon, i didnt get his HT so someone else must have taken it before me. being a 55 monk i thought i would tear threw this beast but he was a good hunt and took quite a bit of damage, alas he was defeated in the end.

i am a lvl 40 druid and she conned evenly to me, pretty easy to kite, snared her on the first try. No fire resistance really. She does hit really hard, hit for 118 dmg once on me. But she went down and we got the horn in the guild treasury now. One thing though, she is such a rare spawn, and lvl 40, why doesn't she drop something better than this horn? Any special about it besides it has 5 charges of purge? Seemed to me to be a dissappointing loot for an animal that is said to be so hunted.

Clerics DO NOT get the spell purge. Purge is a spell that no class gets; it is simply an effect. It removes 1 poison and 1 disease counter (so basically it won't get rid of any poison or disease other than newbie stuff). The spell you were confusing with this was antidote, which is a cleric spell, and cures poison repeatedly over 24 seconds. A 58 cleric would know this.

She is not always a level 40, it seems. Took her down as a level 40 today and she was blue to me. Hits about normal for the level indicated, nothing special ecxept she is still pretty swift even while snared. Not easy to kite and dump/med without her running up on you. Dropped the fragments... sold them to vendor for 2pp.

I myself am a level 58 Cleric it is a spell that removes poison and disease also it heals 1/5 the damage done to them

If I remember correctly, Purge is a high level cleric spell that removes poison and disease... maybe even other dots, but I'm no cleric, so I can't guarantee the accuracy of this statement. Maybe someone who really knows for sure will post....

Ok so everyone has mentioned what she drops etc but what no one has mentioned and what no one seems to know is what the effect "purge" is? I killed her the other day (Kited if your wondering :) and she dropped the horn fragment with 2 charges of "purge" I have'nt tried it in case it's something I want to save for special occasions. If anyone knows what it is let me know, thanks :)

I have been blessed to see her once... while sitting in the stone circle outside Mistmoore. I was relaxing there and enjoying the antics of the Fae Drakes when the most stunning creature I have ever seen walked past, pausing to look at me curiously. I couldn't even breathe, for fear of frightening her off. It's a moment I will always remember.

I dont think she is that rare a spawn. I hunt at the sister and bandit camps and she walks by both of them every now and then.

Yes I know the location of this fine beast. If you just want to watch her in action and not kill her then go to the spawn point for the 3 undead near a monument. Kill mummies and skeletons and she will visit very close by. Please be nice to the fine lady.

I have seen this wonderful animal several times, and seen her die twice. Once she dropped nothing, and once she dropped the unicorn horn fragments (which the person was kind enough to let me have). I was, how ever, wondering about the horn itself. Does it have a % increase stuck on it? If it did I would be quite pleased because of all the named wind insturments out there (Brahms Horn, Lyassa's Darkwood Piccalo, Minotaur Horn, ect) it would be the only one I know of to have a bonus. Any bards have one of these and test it out?

Ever wondered why instruments don't show Percentage Bonus in its status screen? According to verant, an instrument's percentage bonus depends on a song, and so there's no real way to define a fixed % boost to an instrument.
Experimentally, Brahm's Horn and Mino Horn have shown similar boost of around 15% (I think it was with crission's pixie strike) while Unicorn horn was about 6%. Intresting fact... Whether this was intended, I have no idea. None of it makes sense to me anyway... You would expect Brahhm's Horn to be better than Mino Horn, and Unicorn Horn better than Brahhms. But this isn't so.

Rumored 30 day RL spawn, no joke. I just got the fragments, would have loved the horn for my bard..... sniff, sniff.. :( The unicorn is a random location spawn, and wanders all over Lfay, kind of the same pattern as Thistle Underbrush. LvL 40, hits double 117's and is as fast as SoW. Also noticed, if you don't keep her near, she warps or wanders off..... not good if you are kiting her.

I do not know the time but while hunting orcs at the camp just off the trail. The Equestrielle passed several times along the valley and ridge near loc -200 -1000. this particular area has the orc camp overlooking it on one side and a ridge that ends in the middle of it. The Equestrielle comes right down the middle of the ridge. Even if it isnt worth killing it is a pretty sight to see trotting by.

Her rare drop is a Unicorn horn which has 5 charges of purge and is also a bard wind instrument. Her common drop is a unicorn horn fragment which is a piece of crap and has 2 charges of purge, but atleast it looks cool.

Equestrielle is the friend of Fiiriona Vie, the daughter of the king of Felwithe (no not Princess Lenya) so if you are a HIE I would advise against killing her. I think she drops the shield of the slain unicorn (war only) which is a shield that doubles as a 1hs-er

You are completely incorrect she has no faction hits and does not drop the shield of the slain unicorn .. which drops in SOL B off the kobold Champion, she drops either the HORN or fragments of the horn, I have never seen her drop the horn by thw way it maybe u need to use the fragments to create a Unicorn horn
