Hi! for a lvl 21 wiz who made pjin spawn two time and killed are her necro friends this is old school give me a break the guy didnt even last for 3 senconds rooted his pet stuned his behind shot him two times with flame bolt and he was out i got some earing and the skull lol this is the easiest thing !!!!!!!!!
I 've been able to solo this Gnoll embalmer and a Gnoll hign Shamen using my DD spell to pull. However, they have always been the Closest Gnoll to me. I'd be careful tho, cast a spell and run close to zone to see what comes. Level 20 WIZ
One particulary fruitful embalmer I killed had a gold ring, a short bronze spear, the Skull of Jhen Tra and a Crysknife (4/21 magic). Not bad. Still, never gor a RTS off any of the High Shaman
I know that an extremely rare loot off this mob is a +3 int earring. VERY nice prize off this low mob. Vildayyan Deathbringer Officer of Black Daggers Rallos Zek 39th Shadow Knight

I usually keep a low lvl buff in the first spot when I buff my self & then cancell it after I put up my good buffs. That way if i do get hit with a dot I can cast cancell magic on it. Remember first in first out rule on cancel magic.
when i was swimming to the ogres for bandages, i picked up one of these guys. I wouldve lived but i didnt realize he was blue :) im a 19 enchanter and his DoTs killed me by themselves cause his pet couldnt keep up with me...so avoid these unless u have cancel magic or are grouping...and even with cancel magic they are still pretty tuff
This guy is not rare I've seen 3 of them at once in the camp and every day (I like to fight drybones at night and beat up gnolls during the day) at least 1 spawns for a short time
His pet isn't much trouble, but like most necro NPCs, he'll fear you halfway across the zone and dot you to death if you attack him alone. He also won't be alone. Make sure you use harmony or soothe on the rest of the gnoll camp (or just keep them all killed, he'll spawn faster) or when he fears you and you run by you'll aggro the whole camp on you. This is especially bad if he's near any High Shamans. They aren't as tough as he is, but their combined might is fairly formidable, since they both can heal themselves in various ways. You definitely want 2 or 3 people before you try this guy. Whats good is that I noticed that when he finally does spawn (he's not as rare as say the Ancient Cyclops in S.Ro, I've seen two of them at once) he usually drops at least the skull of jhentra, which'll net you about 20pp if you auction it in a city. The velvet choker is worthless. On a good day in the gnoll camp, you can come away with a skull, a runed totem staff from the High Shamans, and some various loot, and end up with about 50pp profit. Just be careful at night, the undead in the gnoll camp are far more powerful than any of the living gnolls. But I know for sure that the dry bones skeletons here drop bronze armor.
This guy is pretty tough. As a lvl 21 warrior with +70 sv magic(w/buffs and items), he was able to fear and DoT me every time I tried to take him solo. Luckily, every time he feared me i was running uncontrolably towards the sk zone, so when the spell wore off, I just kept on running.

Also the embalmer spawns with the rest of the gnolls and undead that frequent the shore area, right next to the Sk zone point, thus removing the need to magically fly across the lake . . and yes, even most non-necro's know that the only snaring DoT that necro's have is from the Darkness line of spells.
He's right, the only snaring DoT we have are the darkness line of spells. He did say snaing DoT. Our Darkness spells are a small DoT with a snare effect built in. All MR based I mind ya.
