Alright its Peachie again. I was up in the tower with my 23 cleric and a 23 druid friend. Crush spawned and was dead in about 15 seconds. A couple minutes later DVinn spawned WITH the dirk. He hit me 2 to 3 rounds for 25-40 damage and I was dead in about 20 seconds. My Druid Friend jumped out of the window and zoned. He is much harder with the dirk. This was the first time I had ever experienced this... He was later raped by a level 35 monk =P

Let me tell you . . . he is not a nice elf to fight toe-to-toe.
I was a 22 ranger in with a 18 Iksar warrior. We were thinking we could take him (Blue to me, black to him) and someone said he was going to bury both of us . . . and immediately he spawned and proceeded to beat the snot out of me with his bare hands. Ok, fine. I jumped out the window for about 60 damage and went to help my Iksar warrior friend out. Met Dvinn running down the hall to the Throne Room and he finished the job on me. I returned after dying and they were still killing him (I think).
Now, I must say I didn't log the fight (should have) but he was hitting for 40-60-kick 30 . . . and I was standing there like a practice dummy swinging what must have been a soft foam pole at him. I missed 3/4 of the time and connected just enough to start my Tomahawk effect. I think that saved me, now that I recall the nine or so hits he ineffectively landed as I jumped out the window.
IF you go to take him, have a healer or be prepared to root-nuke him to the ground. And don't be afraid to over-do it.

I know dvinn hits like a *****, but with a lvl 24 or so Iksar monk and my Lvl 23 Ranger self took him down cold. The monk feigned and i was down to around two bubs of health, but got the dirk like two seconds after zoning in. Was a happy ranger that day)

What a bunch of BS artists on this board. I have tried to solo Dvinn twice. Once at 27...had to zone and come back to kill him or he would have killed me. Then last night I tried as a lvl 30 ranger with mostly ivy armor and a runic carver and full agi,str,skin buffs and he beat the living daylights out of me. Constant hits of 40-50 and I was down to 2 bubs fast. Had to zone in a hurry and thank goodness he was snared or it would have been over. Any melee class under 30 wants to try this guy please tell me I am on Veeshan I will bring some popcorn and watch the show.

Nuke this inkey or bow-kite him meleeing this guy is a nightmare he hits like a truck.

the dirk isnt THAT rare got 2 in 3 hours(not bad)and i think all the posters were telling the truth because i can kill dvinn (lv 31 cleric using root and nuke)losing 1 bub of hp when he doesnt have the dirk but when he does i get alot of partial resists and my roots dont work well so im down to 1 bub of hp or less

Ok Craka here again. First of all, this dirk is so damm common that you can make the money for the dirk (50pp give or take) selling batwings. Its a rare drop off him now. So in my opinion buy it, there are plenty out there. OK NOT MY REAL POINT. I dont know about everyone else posting here but im not in it for the dirk. Im in it TO WAX HIS *** for killing me so many times as a young druid. I hate dvinn with a passion. I will stop by still at level 50 to just show him whats up, pimp slapping his *** around like a little beotch. I may market this as a form of therapy. Have fun all. Kill him for me.

Either:

Tashan, root, and burn.

Or snare/darkness and chase-the-moon.

Meleeing will get you killed if he has the dirk.


Enchanter casts tashani. Dvinn beats on enchanter. Shadownight casts darkness, pet and shadownight pull Dvinn off enchanter. Enchanter casts chase-the-moon. Dvinn stops fighting, runs slowly, while pet bashes, enchanter nukes, shadownight bashes.
