Let this freak loose and watch the chaos! He will attack everything that he sees. He can be really tough or really easy. You never know what you will get with him.
As for the bad mage faction, don't worry too much about it. Unless you want to kill him as much as people kill Trumpy in Qeynos!

I hate twice soloed him and with a group of friend a lev 17 warrior and a lev 16 druid(I was a level 16 mage) we managed to kill him 3 times before his super respawn made us zone.

But I was wrong cuz he can finish me with his pet so I had to zone for safety. So BEWARE if u are soloing. I was wearing FULL LAMBENT ARMOR except Boots :( So GOOD LUCK to solo him.

Hey Guys, I ran into Relton for the first time and he killed me 15th rngr and my freind 11th bard in less than two minutes. He ony conned yellow to me at that level which would suggest him as a 17th at the time and he did have his pet. While on a corpse run he was standing right by mine and i couldnt get it without him seeing me. Now I know he probably wouldnt have attacked me but I enlisted the help of a 27th Fighter who proceeded to attack him and after only a minute of fighting run to the zone. He only conned green to the fighter and was still able to nearly kill him. Be careful of this guy on the Vallon Zek zerver his con is waaayyyy off.

Retlon is a wimp! he conned green to me at 16, and i accidently aggroed him and he cast burn (level 4 mage spell) and his fire pet hit me for 13 damage max! he was white to a level 5 who managed to sneak inside

Today, my party of 2 12 druids, 1 12 magician(me), and 1 12 enchanger and a 16 cleric killed him, i died because i tried to pull him and he casted on me. The second time we killed him he spawned on top of the pit and i sent my pet on him by mistake. I ran because i didn't want to die, but 2 high level people helped my pet and i got exp! Finally get revenge for him killing me all those times, and negative faction with ak'anon mages(bad).

I was taking on some legions and emissarys at lvl 20, then all of a sudden an oracle came by and rooted me, Retlon kept casting on me till I was dead, he conned blue to me.

Retlon is a wuss. Although I am a level 17 druid he is still easy. I am reading things about him being higher and lower. Simply put he is not that bad. I should say this for druids mainly. At level 14 Cast Snare on retlon and then drill his pet with expulse summoned and that will take his pet out in two maybe three of those. Then just beat down retlon. When in melee with retlon he is not hard to beat. Its his damm pet. Unless you need revenge, and or exp, dont fight him. Now dvinn, he cons much lower than he is. Happy hunting.

I'm a Gnomish Mage that has very bad standing with the crushbone orcs, however, he con's amiably to me and does not kos me when i am killing orcs, so i believe he'll only kos ya if your faction with him sux.

So i the end i had to group with someone that had good faction with him and gave him the key and I got faction I con him and he is doubisly so I jump down and get my corpse. Moral of story is ALWAYS con Retlon.

i have conned him at lv 20 and he was green but at lv 21 he was blue he is not as high as you think, not even close.

Our party of five level 13's took on ret and his pet and he toasted us. I lived and trained him back to the throne room, and he survivied there for about 5 mins, and there were some level 20's in there. So he's not easy to kill.

I am a 20th level barbarion warrior. I was teamed with a 17th lv shaman. We jumped him in the pit because he was always killing our lower lvl characters and we wante revenge. First time he conned blue to me and blue to my friend. We jumped down and killed him no problem. He immediatly spawned up top after he died. We rested to full health, I conned him again and then attacked. he was still blue to me. He then proceeded to wipe the floor with me and my friend in about 10 hits. The conn on this guy is way off.

He LOVES to cast through walls. I saw this guy at the zone border killing anyone that any of the border guards attacked. People would be resting, an orc would attack them, and here comes Retlon, blasting away.

If you attack an orc and he can see it, he'll go aggro on you! Beware.

One thing I forgot to mention. The first time we attacked him in the pit he was with his earth elemental, which conned green to me. The secound time when he spawned above the pit he was with his fire elemental.

He conned yellow to me at 13, even or yellow at 14 and even or blue at 15. He is the brother of the leader of the magician guild in Ak'anon, and if you free him you can get good faction.

He's a gnome mage, and has been known to summon only earth and fire pets. If you give him shackle key 15 he will react as any other slave would, and his pet will die. If you set out to kill him, give him the key first so he won't have a pet for you to deal with.
When Retlon has been pulled out of his pit through assisting an orc or being attacked, he will proceed to kill pretty much anyone on sight.
Also I have seen his pet agro on me and him just leave me alone until I attacked the pet.
