Got a troll SK, 17th level - he conned dark blue and his pet conned light blue - was almost able to take him once with harmtouch and a full frontal offensive, the other three times he wumped my butt. :(

back when I was a weelad this guy would terrify everyone in the zone, this was like 2months ago when zeb was a new server so most of us were not really high in level. This guy took out a full group of 15-17's. Now I come back on my iksar necromancer and solo this old hag at lvl 18, I barely managed to kill him but the satisfaction is great.. now I have a problem getting off faydwer though.

If you are killing this guy to get Dead faction, make sure you have a box of cookies and some milk. I killed him 79 times (checked my log)and still cannot train in Neriak.
If you kill his pet, then him, and always make sure that his pet dies before he does, he will repop immediately. I killed him at least 25 times nonstop before finally needing a break.

I was using my lvl 20 mage. I desiced to kill him, he ignored my pet and went straight for me. I dont know how this guy does it, but he can cast while running and seems to have infinte mana. His pet killed mine, then rooted me, I died.
I came back with my lvl 60 warrior (main) and pimped him for several kills. Remember me relton? Lets see if you like the jagged blade of war on your sorry ********

I've been getting more than my share of payback since level 28 or so(now level 30). MY personal tactic is to start off with casting ensnaring roots on Retlon, and then pulling his pet out of cast range(not hard to do as a druid with wolf form), and then rooting the pet as well. I then go back and double dot retlon(creeping crud+inferno) before returning to the pet and blasting it to hell with dismiss summoned.
by the time the pet is done Retlon already is down bt a fair chunk of health from the dots, and you can nuke him from there with combust, or recast root and dots as they wear off and just med whil he dies slowly.
BE SURE TO MED A GOOD DISTANCE AWAY FROM HIS PIT!

this guy is a lot tuffer then he cons i was in a group he coned yellow to me and he kicked our ***. on our second try we took him out but he took a lot of us with him. it almost seems like he heals himself though because his life seem to go up when i had to solo him when the rest of my group died and i was duel wielding him with 2 forged long swords.

I was in a group and the lil putz sicks his pet on me. I was only a level 7 mage so I had to wait till his pet's root spell went away. Three steps later I'm reading his pet doing 6 damage per hit to me and then all of the sudden Retlon comes and hits me twice for 30 each! Needless to say I got to see myself in the fetal position. After I got back to my corpse, I learned that he had killed 2 other members of my party before going on his sadistic little way.

I tried giving Retlon food and water last night and he thanked me for doing so. I was wondering if you might get a increase in faction standing for doing this? I tried to Hail him with no success.
Why is this NPC in the game at all? Is there some story behind his being in Crushbone? Why does he care if you fight?
I would also like to add that Retlon does not only attack people who fight near him. You don't have to go on the defensive at all. If an Orc starts to attack you Retlon will also begin to attack. You never even have to fight back to become a victim!

I can hail him. He just says something like Savior kill the orc who has they keys, and set me free, or something like that. I have seen him run around killing others but he has never turned on me except when i was lvl 8-12. he still cons blue but everytime i talk to him he just wants the key.
I still have yet to try and give him keys so i cant tell you which on it is.

I never heard of this guy until last night!
We were camping on training hill last night when all of the sudden a pet starts attacking us! I thought it was one of our pets going renegade because of an area effect spell. I told all of our mags to control their pets. Needless to say that had no effect. We killed the pet but then 2 Legionares and 3 Centurions spawned right next to us. Everyone was low on health and mana we all ran for the Zone as fast as we could. When we got to the cave I saw a cute little gnome sitting there and thought he was a PC. I actually started to MED right next to him before I realized he was not ver happy with me. What seemed most bizzare to me is that he attacked a few times and then "gated" back to my bind point in Felwythe. I had no mana and could not have gated myself.
Has this happened to anyone else?

A simular incedent like this happend to me. I was running from a huge train with retlon part of it. I was getting beat real bad at lvl 11 i ran into the zone and when i saw the next screen i was at my bind point. i know i didnt die because i had all my items and my spells were still memorized. I never thought anything of it except maybe a bug till your experiance.

dont know if its a glitch or not but the zone at cb will sometimes send you to your bind point if you zone through with no life . has happened to me twice. glad i bind at orc lift...
If you zone at the EXACT moment you would otherwise die, then you will reappear at your bind point without losing any of your stuff or XP. Friend of mine had it happen to her when zoning to escape an Undead Sprite Guard in Lesser Fay.

This guy is VERY unpredictable. His stats can vary widely from spawn to spawn. He and his pet have slaughtered (and I mean SLAUGHTERED) me a couple of times but I HAVE killed him and his pet with my Paladin (Level 16 at the time) and a Level 17 Warrior partner. DO NOT THINK THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO THAT! Each spawn seems to generate a new set of stats for this guy and we lucked out with his lowest apparently. The xp for the kill isnt worth the faction hits and the two times I have killed him yielded no loot. Simply avoid this guy unless you are doing the quest.

Easily toasted him solo at 28 as a cleric. Which was awesome because i owed him about... 5 or 6 deaths between myself and a couple alts that grew up in the area.

Here's my story. I managed to kill him with my level 15 Iksar shammy and a lvl 12 wood elf druid at full mana with full buffs and 123 wisdom. Here's what I did... start fight with flash of light, druid manages to get a snare on him (uber-twink), then tons of spirits strike and flash of light when it wears off. With her just managing to keep me alive we beat this *******. He is an immediate re-pop though, and not worth yer time. Was a yellow con to me at 15 and I got crummy exp. He is the 2nd worse undercon I have seen, next to dvinn. Don't hurt orcs when retlon's around unless you have a death wish!

Yep, another crushbone under conn, I am a 21 War and have yet to kill him, beat his pet twice in one fight, but couldn't get close to him and when I did, I did very little damage... so have had to zone every time.
At least I killed Dvinn once with the help of a wizzy and I was buffed to no end... probably need the same for him.

At 22 war i meleed him and his pet was already gone but i had to have a 46 druid keep healing me adn buffing me with dmg sheild for a long time till he died. He is NOT 18 at the highest hes like dvinn. At the time i thought even higher

Retlon will attack everyone who kill orcs or attacking by orcs in his sight.

The slaves in Clan Crushbone are not there for their loot, except on rare occasions when one needs Dwarven or Elven Blood for quests. The slaves are there to be freed. One needs to slay the Orc slavers and loot the LORE shackle keys on them. Key 16 is needed for male Dwarves, key 17 for female Dwarves, 18 for male Wood Elves, 19 for female Wood Elves, 20 for male High Elves, 21 for female High Elves, and 15 for Relton Brenclog.

Alternatively, most slaves can be killed to improve evil factions. Muuwahhahaha

I don't know what happened, but I was killing stuff with my group, well not killing for I am a bard, but he went NUTS. He killed me nad no one else. I didn't touch him. I was merrily playing songs and RETLON BRENCLOG HITS YOU FOR 34 POINTS OF DAMAGE. I hate this guy.

I have to comment on this character and the curse I have received. Never kill this fool unless you never want to see crushbone again. I am a level 18 shaman and decided to kill this guy. I binded at the entrance to CB and then buffed heavily. I cast on him and immediately he started to nuke me and the pet rooted my sorry ***. No escaping this little *******. Well I died and after went to get my body. I was then able to finish him off since he was low on health. Managed to kill him and he spawns immediately. Well I died again. I can honestly say I died 4 times that day. So I left 5 weeks later came back and was going to kill the slaver and the little man attacks me again. Word of advice if you need to get away stay sowed and cast or stun the pet to get some time to flee.

Fighting near this guy is a pain. He REALLY hates it when you fight anything around him, and will attack you if you fight something near him. Trained him once by pulling a lego near the pits, and got wasted (22 warrior)

My lvl 16 non-twinked mage, after asking the zone and hearing he was hard, attacked him. I had a lvl 16 water pet with me. I started nuking himand he instantly came after me but my pet taunted him off. I ran back to the TR group I was with because I had lost lots of health. I sat there for about 3 minutes waiting for him to attack me. Suddenly around the corner hurtles a flash of blue. My pet, only half health, followed by nothing. I thought it must have been a bug so I went back to look if he was still there. He had respawned but didn't aggro on me. Maybe I just got lucky or something, I don't know because later I saw a group of 12-15 get wasted. By the way he conned blue to me. I'm not saying to try it but thats my story. )
ok i had a lvl 19 ranger and before coming to read the insane posts here i conned mr. brenclog and he was blue. sufice to say i lasted 5 seconds. so as time went on i made an sk and got her to lvl 40. i went to cb to help get one of my new chars a crapload of lego pads and someone pulled mr. brenclog. remembering the time with my ranger i decided to help the zone and kill rentlon. i also had a friend who is a 38 monk with me( we are iksar). we dispatched rentlon fairly easily and to our surprise he respawned INSTANTLY. we again dispacteched him and thankfully he was dead. i got hit a few times by him with his spells and had taken some damage. i know i know lvl 16-19 shouldnt hit 40 but he did. he has TONS of mana and he loves to nuke. i did not use my harm touch to kill him though i should have. this is true and not a lie. my ranger has since been deleted as i hate the class and my sk is now 47. she wields a blade of xalgoz and wears dreadscale in some parts other is various nice sk iksar wearable stuff. just wanted to prove that this is NOT a lie and he is tough. he does spawn instantly (weigraf that is for u) and i would not fight him unless he is loose in the zone. it was awhile ago that i fought him and as such i do not remeber all happenings but if anyone has questions please post and i will respond as best i can.

I just last night dropped this little fella for a zone full of low levels. He conned blue to me at level 20. It was not was easy as most blues but I burnt him down all the same. Balance issue?? Hehe. I really did though but I was using Tishan's clash which stuns him and he couldn't cast on me. I totally ignored his pet and just let it beat on me.Clash then force shock for 179 then flame shock for 108 then lightening bolt for 128 then repeat. I burnt through all my mana and probably didn't need to but I wanted the kill.
