lava elemental  

Camping this for my mge epic 1.0 as many have in the past. On the 4th spawn the Lava Ele. poped but he did not drop the PoFire all he dropped was the potion. On the 5th spawn of the blazing ele.'s I got the PoFire to drop woot. Now on to the next camp =/.

What room are they in?

Read all the notes about camping the lava elemental, and started camping the clockwork gnomes. Maybe they changed the PH's faction or something, but here's what I know. There are 5 clockwork gnomes, one in each corner, and one that wanders a bit. If you attack the wandering clockwork, ** the others will attack you**. They attacked me twice. That also lowers your faction 5 x more, as a gnome, I think I'll stick with the blazing elementals.

elementals are found in farthest northwest corner of Sola through a trick wall. got my PoF on third kill. Good luck guys.

Took me about an hour to fight my way back to the fire elemental pit with a 40 mage. Fire elemental was Dark blue to me, and went down easily with a buffed pet. PoF dropped on the first kill.

anyone have the loc of where the lava elementals spawn?

Aug.10.2004 I have a 49 mage and I'm down in the lava elemental pit. The way that they have now fixed things 2 direct dmg hits with Shock of Swards kills the place holder and none of the other mobs will attack you when the ph is pulled. I didn't even bother to have the pet out because the guy is a wimp. Also have killed the lava elemtal two times today after killing 3 place holders the other second one spawned in. Between the two lava elementals it only took about 1 hour and 30 min. So far I have gotten Lava potion, and the Runed lava pendent, so hopefully the next kill will get me the PoF. Good luck all. And no I'm not twinked it's just that I had virtue on and the PH didn't even do more than 100 dmg to me in all it's hits combined and the same with the lava elemental, but I started and finished with the Shock of swards dd. :) Good luck.

After spending about 12 hours camping this guy and not having him spawn ONCE, I petitioned, assuming something was wrong. As quoted by the GM who responded to me, "The spawn time for that particular mob can be anywhere from one hour to one week." I have not verified this (and GOD I don't want to) but this is what I have been told.

In the lava elemental room, there are 4 static clockworks. they're flanked one on each corner of the room. The Place Holder generally doesn't move around much but you can tell it apart easily from the others as it does not occupy one of the corner spots.

Just keep killing the PH (a type of clockwork model) until the lava elemental spawns in its place. My 51 earth pet soloed it easily.

At level 56, I did not get any adds from the other clockwork gnomes in the room.

The Place Holder spawns every 19 minutes. This was a long camp for me unfortunately. But eventually it did drop my Power of Fire.

How do you get the drawbridge down to get inside the room?

Does this mob have any faction with the SolA Gnomes? It's not listed in his stats and it's a silly question to ask....but I'm asking. Also, will my faction take a hit when I kill the PH?

i nuked the wandering ph for lava elemantal and all the statics attacked and killed me and i am a level 55 mage i think the changed it so now all the static spawns will help the ph

do you have to kill the gnomes to make the elemental to spawn?

Is this thing on The Gnomies Faction? Cuz I'm Ally, just wondering if it would attack me.

This camp is absolute BS I did it for 21 hours and got 9 lava potions and 3 power of fire (I think for mage epic) and not one GD Pendant dropped.

My buddy and I usally get together to take on creatures and quests. Can a 35 druid and 36 paladin take on the spawn room, or would the room bum rush the attacker?

Alright, here's what I learned from my experience. I'm a level 50 bard, with appropriate equipment. I started working my way down into Sol A, using my invis. The majority of goblins don't see through it, some of the shamans do. At 50, they'll still attack me, but I avoided the majority of them pretty easily. As I got closer to the castle, I found that the clockworks see through invis as well, and attacked me. I killed some fairly easily, and supposed that they didn't like me due to the fact I had killed some before while helping a paladin friend in his quests. In reality, I found they were attacking me because I was in dark elf form at the time. In my normal half-elven state, they were dubious to me. I proceeded to use a song that increases my faction with the target to bring me to amiable with them, at which point I was able to walk all the way to the room where the elemental spawns.

Now then, there are 4 stationary clockworks inside the room, and some various gnomes and the like outside. All of them were green to me at 50, and amiable at this point as well. There is a wandering clockwork that is the placeholder for the elemental. When I attacked him, none of the other clockworks tried to help him. I fought him inside the room itself, and killed him easily. Different types of clockworks spawn, they aren't much of a problem. Spawn time is around 19 min. Eventually, the elemental will spawn. It seems random to me from what I saw.

The elemental aggroed on me immediately. If you get too near the edges of the room, the gnomes on the outside may well cast buffs on him, which is annoying. I fought him inside the room, and had no problems. He has a damage shield that will put quite a hurting on melee types, so make sure to hit him with cancel magic. After this, it was a melee fight for me. As a bard, my melee is pathetic, and I ended up having to mez him and then heal myself, after which I killed him with no other problems. He hit me a couple times for double 70s. I was slowing down his attack during the fight, so in actuality, he's a pretty good fight for melee types.

The first time I killed him he had a no-drop ruby that didn't have any distinguishing stats or the like, I assume its for a quest of some sort. The second time I killed him, I got the pendant. It took about 4 hours between spawns, so get comfy. After that, I invised and headed out, unfortunately I took a wrong turn and ended up in a room with a bunch of blazing elementals. They happen to see through invis.. caused a few problems. Anyways, hope this helps out. Good luck.

whats the PH for the Lava elemental? is it the wandering gnomes inside his chamber?

If you stay in the Lava Elemental room invis (because you are probably KOS by the time you want to camp this spawn) and you have one person keep killing the wandering CWG after 6 of those kills it is likly that the lava elemental will come through (kill the gnomes after)
