All four lava brutes in the hallway are its PHers, not just the two /locs given. We had it spawn at the far end opposite of enforcer's room.

It took us several hours to spawn him, but then he did 4 back to backs. Seemed to be on all his PHs

My group have killed him 3 times in the past month. Once he did not have any loot and the other 2 times he had Magmaborne Gem.

It did drop something for us tonight, called Spiked Hammer of Animated Lava. Melee weapon for warriors, beastlords, rogues, rangers, etc. Pretty decent 75/26 one handed blunt.

Spawns on level 4 (the area with all the lava in it, seems to be sloping to one side.
Splits into two non named level 88 mobs at 50%, Also called Animated lava. They will corpse camp where they spawned. (As the place they split in two is the spawn spot for them, so will not move if they wiped your group.
We died, we rezzed, we split, we killed, and we looted.
mmmmm, just trash mob loot. No chest spawned.
Seems not quite fixed yet.

Can confirm, not sure if a chest is supposed to spawn or if loot appears on the last mob to die.. either way.. no loot as of 20/3/2010
Supposedly after the 50% split there is a 5% chance one of them can split again, can't confirm that though.
