Accidentally pulled this guy twice from the Gorgon isle. Once our monk did it, then I got him on the second occurrance. Not sure if it was a bug, or if it can be repeated, but try tagging the high-flying roamers on gorgon isle near the edge closest to the Djorn's spawn. Recommend only trying it with an FD puller, or be rdy to sacrifice someone from the crew :)

the blade storms are flagged immune mez and immune charm. atone is not allowed in this plane at all.
given the blade storm pathing, the only feasible way to get and keep the Noble solo would be to have people dedicated to pacification/phantom call the 2 blade storms and the Storm Mistress constantly. this is assuming none of the mobs are otherwise linked or flagged not lullable (many mobs in this plane are not lullable).

does anyone who has fought him recently and would actually kno if a level 65 necro with 5.5K hp unbuffed(PoT/GoD geared) 600AA's, etc be able to duo this with a cleric healing? Mind you can I tank an unslowed BoT mob and a slowed kriger, if that means anything. Obviously I would be buffed to 7.5K for the fight and would channel a few dots while healing myself, and then chain lifetap.
or does he have too many hps. I know I can tank an easy 300 hitter unslowed, np. Maybe box a shaman for slow and heals? Or what?

If you can handle an unslowed BoT mob, then you can handle Djorn, especially with a cleric. First, have the cleric pacify Noble Djorn (and maybe the Storm mistress) while you take out the blade storms. Keep in mind that he's highly magic resistant. I'm an enchanter and I can't land a thing on him except partial nukes. However, I'm sure that you can kill him, especially with a cleric.
He either has 20k HP or 32k HP. I fought him over 10 times and it seems like he only has 20k HP. I may be wrong. Well, good luck. If you're going for the breastplate, be ready for a lot of dissappointment. It took me over a year to get it.

He's really easy if you can get him solo. Usually the whirling blades add and sometimes the female caster in the building will add too. Pacifying doesn't work because he has a huge assist range.

Took my group of 6 65's to wax this guy. 65 SHD SHM CLR ENC DRU ROG.
Even with his 2 pets and the annoying Storm Mistress he wasn't too hard to kill. I didn't bother trying to split them, just had the enchanter mes.
It's kind of fun taking out mobs with 1 group that took a whole raid force not too long ago.

We killed this mob last weekend. Was quite a challenge. It dropped the Chest Plate. We also found a quest item called "Torc of Veeshan." Can anyone help with information about this item? What is it used for? Is it part of a quest?

This zone is not about the loot that is "dropped" it is about the loot that is "quested". This zone has the highest lvl haste belts in the game, yes better then CoF and RBB. If that isn't enough, i don't know what is, it has some of the best loot in the game. I personally can't wait to gain some lvls to get to this zone and explore. Well GL to u all )

The Plane of Air was created before Kunark, Velious, Luclin or Planes of Power was even thought of. At this time, these were items of extreme greatness and power. The best weapons were Short Swords of Ykeshas (non quested or planar) and this loot was considered a horribly amazing kind.
When Ruins of Kunark came out, we were introduced to Cobalt, Deewpater, Tolan's Darkwood, Blood Ember, etc. armor and it made this seem like pieces of junk.
Imagine comparing a Golden Efferiti Greaves comparing to a pair of Tolan's Darkwood Greaves, it is uncomparable, the Tolan's Darkwood Greaves are incredible.
Then, Velious came out, WOOOH!!, Champion's, Spirit Weaver's, Sage's...wait wait, are you serious? MYRMIDON'S!! WARLORD's! amazing! Wow, this stuff seems like crap now!
See, it was great BEFORE the expansions. I do wish Verant would make an attempt to improve the Plane of Air, but this isn't what you would call a "prime plane."
The Prime Planes are as listed:

Plane of Growth
The other planes are visited, but not as frequently as these. This goes for MOST servers, if there is any contriversy with that listing you are one of the servers that is uncommon from the rest (not a problem, Plane of Mischeif and Sky are great planes).

anyone else notice that this plane is pretty challengeing even for "uber" guilds ... and yet, with the exception of the epic quests, pretty much all of the loot here sucks horribly?

Some quests yield good loot some don't, but they don't all suck horribly. At least half the warrior quests yield pretty good rewards. Granted, in light of Velious, the term uber could be removed from PoA. There are still good items available.
yup for instance for enchanters GE armour is like a dream come true :) Stick on some kind of a sword and a torch from vendor on offhand and you look like a warrior!!! Very nice for looks and i guess "status" too if youre into that kinda stuff.
Also last raid we got numerous very nice caster items including + 30sv fire gloves almost on par with SS armour gloves and numberous wizzy bracers. Also many of the quests get you many amazing items including cloaks with very high haste% for SK's and ofcourse the epics although those obviously include other zones too :)
Just trying to say that this zone is still very cool and good for laughs and it is a place where it is definately easiest to have fun in while raiding due to the uncommon nature of the plane and the challenges it brings with it. Its still very worthwhile to go to get *some* nice loot and *lots* of high qulaity fun :)

Dojorn is a tough sob we went up there to do my piece of the monk epic and decided to give him a shot quads 300+ has a mean area effect and a soultap that hit clerics for bout 500 a shot, was a good fight we got efreeti arms and efreeti turban,,,,Bruucce,,,"Kreiglord".

Secondly. MR is not ALL that matters. Although yes, verrant could theoretically give giant RATS an MR of 255 or whatnot if they so chose, There is more to the equation than simply MR. Levels, or at least skill levels definatelly factors into the equation as well.
The net result is an approximate 6 level rule. Nothing more, nothing less. If you personally can cast on mobs higher than that with any consistancy? Great. If mobs lower than that can cast on you, oh well.

It's been confirmed with ShowEQ, but that has nothing to do with how hard it is to cast spells on him. Verant could make a 1st level rat completely resistant to magic by simply pumping up their MR to 255; conversly they could make a 60th level with 0 MR,
Anyway this guy is very tough and requires a huge force (40+) of 50th levels to take him down. Since he is resistant to almost all magic (and all damage spells) you will have to depend on your tanks and pets to take him down. Just make sure you have clerics available to do lots of healing and rezing during the battle.

To the guy who said "You couldn't hit him with anything if he was 63", well you're damn right, you CAN'T. Lifedraws don't work even for necros so the key here, like most everything else in the Plane of Sky is tanks. Lots and lots of tanks.

I know that is not true about the 6 lvl limit to cast. when I was lvl 42 a lvl 12 hit me 10 out of 10 casts. so whoever said it cannot be done is wrong. NOW it was only like for 1 damage each time, but he still hit me EVERYTIME.

Vangor, time to buy a clue. The level casting cap does exist. Make a level one, go cast on a guard or young kodiak. Notice that you get resisted every time. If a mob is either 6+ levels above you, or 120%+ of your level, his resist rate to you is approximately 99.999%. I play a level 50 enchanter, I know this for a fact.
At level 50, I can affect mobs up to level 60. And you want to know something? Dojorn sheds spells from mere level 50's like a duck does water. The way he is killed is that a group throws a bunch of tanks at him while the healers try to keep up with the damage he's causing.

People assume 53 solely because that's the minimum level something can con red to a 50. Your statement falls under the "Proof by lack of evidence", and would be great coming from Dilber's boss.
At level 50, I can affect mobs up to level 60. And you want to know something? Dojorn sheds spells from mere level 50's like a duck does water. The way he is killed is that a group throws a bunch of tanks at him while the healers try to keep up with the damage he's causing.

Got to love this... People wake up. There are mobs that are much higher than lvl 53. Djorn is one of them. Show Eq does work. It will even tell you how many hit points a guide has atm if he is in the same zone as you. As far as spells go, it is worked out in a precentage. At lvl 37 you can hit a lvl 50 mob although it will be mostly resisted. You will almost never do full damage. Ice Giants were a good example of this when I did a raid with my guild. Anyway, get smart, learn the rules of spells, and have fun.

Vox, Naggy, Inno, CT have always been lvl 55. Mayong Mistmoore is not even in the game jack*** except as a GM controlled interactive quest. Don't know about Miragul, he was blue at 54 when we killed him.

Loot is Golden Efreeti XXX, where XXX could be just about any item in the game. Go check EQLizers site on Ultra Rare Spawns, it's all laid out for you.

Either way, he has been killed. And you don't really NEED to be able to cast on stuff to be able to beat it.
At level 32 I could hit Proon pretty well with my weapon, so all you would have to do is bring a lot of tanks and healers.

It is not a hard six level limit but a percentage of your current level that you may cast above. GZ has stated this several times. So yes at level one you will not even be able to go up 6 levels pobly, but at 50 since that percentage is much higher you could potentially go up the 13 levels nessasary to get a few spells off on him. ShowEQ is right, and there is no use argueing about it since it is pretty much proof.
