took my Lvl 69 Mage out there to kill him. Pulled him backwards up the island with Malo, didnt agro the other K'Arnons. and the robe was on him.

just killed him for my rogues epic

If you have a chanter charm him, hail him first. He was indifferent to me after the charm and when charmed, he was giving me the quest text. I gave him the book and got the phalactory (sp) back. Best way to do this. Illusions dont work.

I can't believe anyone kills him anymore for the robe since there are so many better ones! Leave him up for the Paladins and the people doing the Robe or Tunic of the Grand Oracle FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!!

eh.. This robe looks pretty good now with the newer graphics.. well on a high elf female with blueish hair it does anyway...

When i killed her the other day she droped the robe and a Stone. I was being attacked by the gaurdan and so i did a fly by loot. I left the stone on her and when i looked at her corpes after i was done with the gaurdian she was naked lmao

The robe really is better looking on Luclin models than what the Pre-Luclin look is. Still, I plan on making mine a different color a soon as LoY goes live =).

This NPC is indeed for a quest, the Paladin epic to be exact. So before you kill him for that ugly robe, remember you may be causing some poor pally to sit there for 6 hours just to do a turn in. :(

I read somewhere that the spawn on this guy is 6 hours. Well, he wasn't there between 18:00 and midnight last night, and he was'nt there this morning either so, anyone got any ideas ?

Is it worth staying here another day or shall I wait for a patch.

Hey, could a 45 chanter solo this guy? Would I just make one a pet to kill the other, then finish off the charmed one? Any help would be appreciated.

I am also on Druzzil Ro, and being close friends with a lot of high level rogues.. they are MORE than willing to pay 1-2k for these robes rather than bother to go to OOT and wait for the spawn. They need them for their epics. Normally, though, yes, 300 - 450pp. And by the way. For sale posts should go in the "For sale" section. ^_^

When the Tome of Ages quest is solved (and it will be, one of these days) all of you pure casters who screwed up your oracle faction are going to cry. =) To raise DarkBargainer faction, do the "Red Wine" quest in Neriak. 10 stacks of red wine got a high elf agnostic enchantress up to max ally with the dark bargainers, and 37 stacks got her to dubious /without/ illusion to the inner guards.. warmly with illusion. To raise Oracle faction, it's kind of a risky endeavour, but possible, and very tedious. You need at least indifferent faction with DarkBargainers. Go give the guy, Lokar To'biath, who gives the red wine quest 7pp. You get a note. Then kill him, or have someone else kill him. His head is no longer no-drop, it seems. Go to the "Blind Fish". It's a bar near the bank in Neriak. Go talk to the lady near the windows that look into the water.. she'll be behind the bar, near the brewing barrel. Give her the note he gave you. Then give her his head plus the note she gave back. Take the book to the Oracle.. and bring along an enchanter or L 39+ druid friend. It should work, there have been mixed reports to me of this working and not working. Personally, it worked for me, and I dragged a 60 enchanter with me. If enchanter, charm it, turn in the book. You should recieve a newbie-type +cha torch (AC 7, cha +5, all / all), and the oracle's faction goes up, and the other oracle's faction goes down. Did this three times to clear my bard of being dubious to the oracle. I haven't tried wolf form, but from experience getting a dark elf mage un-kos to the TheKeepersoftheArt in Felwithe, wolf form works like a charm.

Ok this guy con threatening to me coz I've killed him once. But part of epic quest for Fiery Avenger needs me to hand in the Book Of Scale to him. So my question is can I hand him the book with a 'threatening' con or can I invis myself and then hand it to him.

Sorry for posting here but I can't post at the Fiery Avenger quest forum...

Those that have done the quest and was in the same situation as I am, please help if you can.

Where is the oracle located in the ocean of tears, i cant seem to find him?

Anyone know who this Oracle of Marud is, the one you get positive faction with when killing the OOT oracle?

I just got this robe last night on Mithaniel Marr. I'm a lvl 26 enchanter, but I had a friend who's a lvl 55 mage take him out. He took out the guardian pretty easy but the oracles DD brought him to near death. He said that the guardian conned blue and he got exp from him but not from the oracle so he didn't mind killing them a few more times. He let me loot all the robes which were dropped everytime by the way. If you're like me and you want an oracle robe, go to Ocean of Tears, get off the Sister Isle stop and go straight ahead from the docks and he and/or the guardian will be there on the edge. They are NOT KOS unless you've fought him before. The guardian spawns every 8 hours "EQ" time. The oracle spawned every 6 hours "real" time. So go hunt the goblins on that same island while you wait. :)

Another nice simple way to kill him is a upper 40 ranger and a upper 40 cleric. The ranger would first harmony the gaurdian then snare the oracle. The cleric would then fear the oracle and both ranger and cleric would attack the oracle. The gardian never joins in the fight and neither the cleric or the ranger should ever get hit at all.

i conned him at lvl 32 and he conned yellow...no way this thing is lvl 40...i soloed for some1 while he took care of the Gurdian. But im a druid so i was able to kite it fairly easy and there would be no way i could at 32...something 8 lvls higher would have resisted all i had

This would give me 1 more INT, and 20 mana, and i think some other stats too I forget the stats on it. But since it looks plain friggin but ugly, I'll stay with my RoE

He drops the Robe of the Oracle about 95% of the time for some odd reason sometimes he spawns with out it. His spawn rate is 7 hours. Don't try to solo him unless your 49 +, his dd's do about 250 each and hes a wizard, he'll dd every chance he gets, the best bet is having 2+ people to help. Idealy you want a druid or ranger to harmony the guardian, or have a 52+ pull the oracle (the guardian wont assist but will still agro if you get close). Once Oracle is away from the Guardian DD his brains out he has low hp for his level, due to his high output, if you can summon a pet do so. The oracle robe is 9 ac 5 int/wis +25 mana and looks neat, purecasters and monk only. It's worth roughly 1k PP.

This guy is an easy mob if you know how to solo him right. His gaurd posts a bigger problem so first DOT Lifetap him and Pact of Shadows your pet. As long as you Augment your pet, he is unstoppable. Then sick the pet on mr. Oracle, and stack Dots on him till he dies. I did this when I was a 52 Necro.

The oracle cant seem to cast on me with my resistances to magic/fire and cold at 60, all his spells were resisted for the 3 fights. His guardian friend is a bigger problem. but 1 good harmony and he'll just sit there like a ogre trying to figure out some toilet paper. But the robes are nice for selling. Quick 1-2k
