Posted: Oct 13 2000 at 4:38 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Killed him tonight, was blue to lvl 40 so he is NOT 40...anyhoo I thought about the guy in Misty who collects bugs, he say something about the a big spider when I was little and completed his quest...so I tried to give him the leg...nada, had to kill the lil bugger to get it back..so he is a dead end.

this thing smoked me and a level 46 druid friend of mine trying to defend my honor :p anyway we smoked him when we got back there and teamed up, took us both to almost no mana, has lots of hps, I know I did about 1600pts of dmg, and I have no idea what the druid did... He was blue to me at 38 but took me and the level 46 druid almost all our mana to kill, and dropped some stupid legs that are useless... BAH

on my first ac camp in sro, i was with a 34 cleric, 39 shaman, and a 32 druid, me being a 24 warrior. the druid is medding, and all of a sudden her health is gone, because this huge spider spawned on top of her, and killed her very quickly. so next it goes after the shaman, so he pulls it in circles while his wolf pet, the cleric and i try to somehow take the massive hp's this thing has. i would say this fight lasted at least 20 minutes, until the shaman was able to cast on it, since i managed to taunt it off. just thought i'd share me story, and warn others to look out for this beast

Hoping someone will have some info on this by now. Camping the AC I saw this critter twice. Don't recall if it resisted much, blue to me at 46, shaman. It easily ate my pet, the second time. I saw, from a group member, "What is this thing?". Next few seconds I saw "Lost my level" from a 41 mage, who apparently strolled a little too close. Myself and a 41-42 Enchanter took it out post haste, both well drained after the event. Now myself and another group member, and guildmate, hold the heart and legs. We don't know what to do with them, have heard rumors of a quest, but no facts. Anyone have any info that would help, please post it. Thanks for any help we can get!

The Terrorantula is very difficult to loot. Reason being is that, while he flips over backwards like any other spider when he dies, the spot you have to loot spiders from is where their head was when they were alive. No biggie on a normal spider, the distance isn't great. On this guy though, you actually have to stand a goodly distance away from the rear of his corpse to loot him. Roughly his body length, which is amazingly long even if you're staring right at him. He's that big.

Yeah, the loot spot is roughly a few feet from the tail of this bastige. Looted the thing tonight ^_^

Heh wish I had read that post before I spent 5 minutes trying to loot him tonight. In my case, his rear end was hanging off a steep dune, so I had to use DMF to get to the loot spot.

Well, I soloed Terror two times at level 39. He popped twice in a three hour time period. Unfortunately I could not loot him either time...do to that fact that he is sooo huge I could only get the message that say 'You are too far away to loot that corpse.' I tried everything under the sun, but no avail. Two kills and zero loot.

I havent ever done it myself since I'm not good enough to kill the terrorantula but apparently Blixxkin Entopop in Misty Thicket is some sort of bug collector. If you complete the newbie quest for him (details at: http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/allakhazam/quest.html?quest=658) then he asks if you have ever seen a [terrorantula] in your travels. I havent managed to get him to respond to the terrorantula part of his request but maybe if someone could do the newbie quest then question him, or just try giving him the legs (and heart?) he would reward you. If it doesnt work you could always kill him to retrieve it (he is lvl 27 or so). If it DOES work give me a shout on Mithaniel Marr, I'd be happy to give you a /cheer :)

I was camping the AC in South Ro with some friends and he spawned he consa blue to me at level 47 and hit hard. He dropped the Spider Legs if anyone know what they are for please tell me. He spawned after I continued to pull everything in zone to out druid the he casts earthquake to remove them. Bam You have slain a Cypt Mummy. You have slain a giant spider. Kind of funny really =)

Terrorantula is approximately level 37 and can double hit for up to 91hp damage (this is from my experience slaying the beast). I was able to outrun him with sow but he appears to run at a speed somewhere between sow and regular running speed. Additionally, he has alot of hp (i dumped ten(10) 218Hp DD's on him and barely gut him under 50% health. I was lucky to have others do the remainding 40% or so of the damamge. Oh, and for some reason his poison is WEAK. At any rate, I have wanted to kill this beast ever since I first saw him when I was a newbie. So I finally got my chance and now I have these Gargantuan spider legs and I have no clue what to do with them. I have checked a number of sources for info but it appears that people can only speculate as to what they are for. If anyone has any info please post it. If the info proves fruitful I will gladly reward the individual on the Fennin Ro server to the best of my ability. Thanks....Preecher 40th season DE cleric

Dis be da biggest spider me seen, me saw monk fightin dis and monk no lukin too gud so me try and help, next ting me know monk wuz dead and me almost dead too. Me run and use all me bandages. Me gets nice wizerd and nice big big troll and we try ta bash, big big troll die, :sniffle: wizerd almost die but zoned, me finally bashed big spoider wit just half bubble left. Me no advise fightin dis bug. Me lvl 31 troll warrior, but dis bug make me feel like me lvl 1. Him hit hard and fast and no miss too much. Me gots leg, anyone know whut ta do wit it?

regarding the drops from this creature and the misty thicket bug quest, has anyone tried to give goth the heart AND legs dropped by this spider? If you are not asked to bring a specific drop then it may require that you give him bot :). I have the legs and will try for the heart but who knows when he will pop when i am there so if you have both i couldnt hurt to try as the items are currently worthless .

Da terro is 39.Me fought it and da terro bite grauwx for 91 a bit hard and cast poison ... Huhu only weak poison :)

LVL 34 necro on RZ... i was camping AC, when i saw this big thing... it was conning RED of course, when we went to attack it anyway it was fighting an sand giant, that thing solowed the sand giant and still had half hp. That resume well enough her power i think :) (btw the thing was charmed by an player, i don t know if she would usualy attack the giant)

The stuff he drops can be used by rogues for making one of the more powerfull poisons. I'm not disclosing how though :) :) You can figure that out - that sthe fun behind it!

This is the biggest thinger I've seen since I got stomped on by two cyclops' and a giant skeleton (I got feared, alright!) He seems to run at a normal, outrunnable pace, though. I was able to get away, and be unlucky enough to hit the zone wall before being crushed.

you can turn in the heart for somthing or another from blixkin, but if ya ask me..i think that the queen in L fay and the terrorantula are related..and if you turn in the brood clutch, heart, and leg you may get somthing....this is just my oppinoin though

I saw him chasing some poor Erudite Cleric one time. I was invis so he didn't aggro on me. He was red/scowl all around, but my enchanter was in his mid 20's back then.
