Important: AC will despawn and change to either a Cyclops or a Sand Giant (depending on the zone he spawns in) after a while, so when that happends the ring will be gone, and you're just fighting a normal one =P

AC is really easy to kill, and not really that rare (I may have been lucky, but i've seen him quite a few times). The only place holder for him must be the SGs that are pretty common in the zone. I've tried killing off the whole desert zone, but i didn't get any SGs to spawn, so i just sat there and waited until the spawned. Killed them for loot, and then the AC spawned with the ring. Now, he has always spawned near the Dark Elf camp in the middle of the desert, so it's really important that you pull him AWAY from the camp, otherwise the vendors will whack him, and you will stand there with tears in your eyes =).

The ring of the Ancients is the rare drop for the Ancient Cyclops, one of the major reasons Jboots are so much of a pain to get

He's level 33, the one in oot is 40, and theres another in skarana i've never seen. He walks from between derv camp farthest from ortallious to the centre where the merchants are. When he walks towards the merchants they kill him, so thats the despawn point. Basically we got him to spawn twice in one hour by killing everything undead, we also killed any nearby snakes/pumas/spiders etc.

Sometimes nagafen spawns in the top hut and roasts a few birdies for a snack. If you're lucky lady vox might even show up and GET IT ON with good old Naggy bay

He is multiple levels, depending on the zone. I am a 36 necromancer, of the 14 times i've seen him, blue.

In South Ro, he is only about level 28 to 30. He was blue to a level 31.

I have heard that the ancient cyclops can also be found in South Karana. Can anzone confirm that? And if yes, what level is he there?

I've never heard that or seen him there. He used to spawn in East Karana but the rumor is he doesn't anymore. The most reliable places are OOT and S. Rho and in that order.

Has this ever happened to anyone? I have killed the ancient cyclops and he did NOT drop the ring (South Ro)! I couldn't believe my eyes. I got cyclops toes and gloves of Rallos Zek, but no ring. (gloves of Rallos Zek are not magic hand slot items for your information but a research item like words or pages, they sell to vendors for about 6gp and are stackable) I petitioned and the GM said that it was strange since the ancient cyclops is supposed to ALWAYS drop the ring. But he also said that he couldn't help me *grrrrrr* since I had no proof and screenshots were not proof enough. Well, I just wanted to know if I was the first one unlucky enough not to loot the ring off the ancient cyclops :-(
