I have been looking for Qwinn for the past 5 days.He never poped and Druids dont see him on track. This is my last piece to turn in for my robe and i would like to get it over with.

Been looking for Qwinn for 6 days 24/7 (European crew plays while I'm asleep) and haven't seen him one on my server. This is since the patch last week (6/5/01, I could be off a day or two) where they removed the shamen gnolls for the Qeynos headband quests to who-knows-where. I petitioned asking if he was still here, but of course got some know-nothing assistant GM. Has anyone else seen him in the last few days (on any server), or is he moved/gone?

we killed him with 2 groups 55+...and he does drop the robe...no faction hits

i saw Sentry Alechin and Qwinn on track at the SAME time. Pretty definitive evidence that Alechin is NOT a PH

I seen Two Sentry Alechins on track at the same time, and hailed each of them, one right after the other. Both told me to leave SK before nightfall because there are some bad bad guys that roam. He could still be a PH for Quinn.

Thats right, Damn him! I was lucky enough to just walk right into lower guk which had about 12 people at the time, as some ranger shouts out that raster had spawned. I was lucky enough to get there about 5 mins after he was killed and saw that the minos and frogs had killed the people who had killed the raster. I was lucky enough they were slow enough to give me permission to loot the raster since they couldnt. I figured, well, might as well finish the quest. I go to sol b. Was lucky enought to spend 5 mins at king room as Targin the Rock spawns. I was lucky enough that the monk in the KR group already had the book. Now i just need the sash and the headband. Of course, we all should know that as a 44 monk, the red sash is easy, and can be done fairly easily. I got the easy pieces and bought the more rare pieces for about 200pp total. Was lucky enough to find someone selling the purple sash for about 800pp. Then my luck ends. I go to rathe mountains to turn in the red sash and the idol. Hasted had spawned and no one wanted to help kill him. So a monk and a druid came about 5 mins later and we start killing him each and every time. About 3 hasten spawns and 2985712975158 drakes spawns later, zephyl spawns. We both get the robe patterns, and off to south karana we go. I have now waited about 18 hours for him. No qwinn. I am told no PH. so wtf am i to do?

Are there monk Trainersi n SK ? and if there are , are iksar kos to them ?

Heres some info for people who aren't quite up to par as far as the way a lot of rare spawns work.
First: He IS on the same spawn table as
1) roaming treant (not the 2 in ne corner)
2) grizzleknot
3) sentry alechin
4) a werewolf
5) quillmane
6) an escaped splitpaw gnoll
7) named gnolls for headband quests
etc.
But, there are 4 areas he can spawn
1) west wall from aviaks all the way to skeleton ruins
2) aviaks to east wall and back
3) roaming center of zone (too hard to find without tracker just let this one sit)
4) roaming on north side of zone from between skeleton ruins to south of 2 treants
That being said you can just do a big run around all corners of the zone killing all the placeholders above for hours and hours to get him to spawn. Good thing is people dont ks him when he spawns because he takes a dragon group to kill and has 100% resist to all normal spells. IE have to dish out 32k damage in about 2 mins or everyone will die due to everyone being oom from healing. I am told you can hand him a torch to make him just use one hand in fighting but it isnt that important because npcs dont dual weild very well.
Just realise that other people may want to kill the named stuff like sentry, werewolf, grizzleknot so give them a chance before you kill to keep spawn table fresh, its better to make friends than enemies over a stupid boring spawn.
BTW, both qwinn and zephyl drop robe of the lost circle but it is unclear whether you need to get faction for your epic quest from doing the quest yourself so I would recommend only killing them if you have done the quest before.

Sounds like you know what you are talkig about but may i ask where you got this info since the escaped splitpaw gnolls doesnt seem to fit very well with the others and what others are on the table as well? <ect.>

I was playing my monk in SK tonight on Solusek Ro, and the guild Dealers of Death bagged him for his robe for a monk who has already quested for all the components for the robe (but has yet to combine them). His plan is to make the robe when he goes to hand in the Robe of the Lost Circle for the Wistling Fists robe (which will THEN be turned in for his epic), so he won't be robeless. He DOES drop the robe. They gave him a bronze 2 handed sword and a bunch of other junk to weigh him down and keep him from quading everybody, but he still managed to kill 3-4 people (including a cleric and another monk). So you can get the robe from him. End of story.

He will not drop the robe much longer. Plans are in the next patch or two to remove the robe from him. Not everyone does the quest. Some of us don't have super guilds or a guild to help us kill him and steal the robe.

If they do take the robes of them, I hope they up the spawn for Raster. That is such a pain! Got 240+ hours on him myself. =\

Ok i have camped him for the last 5 days a minimum of 15 hours a day and only seen him 1 time for roughly 3 minutes before i could reach him he despawned is he bugged broken or did Verant nerf him?

well this guy is a bad *** by far and should not be tanked at all. 10 level 50 druids and wizzies r more than enough to kill this guy. just snare and zap away. and he does drop something :) he drops the robe of the lost circle. he has dropped 2 of the 3 times he has been killed. ask my level 14 monk that has one :) just dont be in the groups that kill him and have a friend loot but no take anything for a few min then as he gets up u loot right away. heard the robe was ninja'd before. i wasn't taking any chances lol. i am sure the guy was banned but oh well i wanted a robe. well gl and later all

The hell you talking about? He doesn't drop the robe, you have to quest for it. And you try to kite him, he will summon you to him. You know he is higher then level 51, right? Anyways, what you posted up there was some fake stupid crap.

Yes, he currently does drop the robe. Sad to say. But that is being fixed. Soon both robes of the Lost Circle and the robe of the whistling fist will have to be quested to get. Also the robe is no drop. That is the part of his story that really shows it is a false one. lvl 14 Monk with a Robe of the Lost circle. Ummm...yah.

10 druids and wizards can't take Qwinn. He's nearly 100% MR except to the Ice Lure spells I think. Druids could even get anything through on him. If you are going to take him it can be easily done with atleast 18 50+ people consisting mainly of clerics and tanks

ive already been in a party to kill zephyl (for the robe), killed him 2x....
u havw to give hima worn great staff to stop his quad attacking..the rest is just tanking and healing cuz both r pretty much totally resistant to magic

My monk needed him to do the Needle Quest..
Had to kill sentry alechin twice to get him to spawn.
Brother Qwinn and Sentry walk the same path - Aviak tree to SW corner to NW corner, etc....

Brother Qwinn is not an easy foe.. he quads for up to 300 and resists most spells under 50. He was killed with much difficulty and the loss of our two prime tanks. He's not worth killing drops nothing, and kills your faction with the monks, if you meet him it's best to just do the quest :)

My Guild and friends took him out tonight on Cazic Thule, we ment to take zephyl, but I think he was having tea and bisquits with the jboot guy. Anyways we found qwinn and killed him instead. We have killed Zephyl before and he was pretty much the same. What you need is to give him a very slow allmost non functioning 2hb or 1hb weapon to keep him from dooing quads. Then get a few serius tanks 52+ prefered and a few good clerics. Then a lot of back up groups ...necro pets etc. The dude is 100% resistant to magic so its pretty much tanking and melee dmg. Make sure you are buffed up good. We succeded with one rogue down, out of 4 groups approx 22ppl there, and pretty much a walk over.
I am glad since I got my nice red robe.

He is one of the toughest NPC in the game.
And, I dont believe he carries the items you mentioned.
If he does, why risk BAD faction hits? ESPECIALLY if you're a monk.

let's try this again for the people who need to read it 10 times... He DOES drop the Robe. He can easily be killed by 3-4 50+ groups that are mainly tanks and healers and you DON'T lose faction.

the 2 warriors died in about 4 secunds
then everyone started to run like hell
to the lake zone and we made it
we still laught about this big mistake

In the 11 lvls I spent at the Treants in SK, Qwinn was seen walking just behind our group at a nearby tree. I saw him atleast twice per 6 to 10 hour session, so if your looking for him, you may want to hang between Paw and the Treants
