#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 06 2001 at 11:07 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I'm about sick and tired of hearing people ******** about druids because they're tired of playing their own class. Each class has it's own advantages and disadvantages; you have to accept that, it's part of playing a role playing game. And just in case you're wondering, I don't play a druid; I'm a cleric, and everyone knows we can't solo for **** :) But, I play my character as he is intended to be played, and I have fun. One day I will create a druid for fun. Maybe if all the people ******** about druids would create one of their own, they would shut the hell up and enjoy it...

Whoa, give Druids a bit of respect. All the ones I've been around don't do things like that guy says. I am a druid myself and I always group with people. I never do things like snare and say it's mine. And people like that guy who gated and left the griffin to kill everyone is sick! I mean, I would never do something like that. In fact, I made this druid so I can Tp everyone around free. Not to make people suffer. But, thats only my opinion....

You think that's evil?
Howzabout this mage, that when I was a tender young 7 wood elf druid training in north ro. She was about 30 and she did this- Targeted a sand giant from the bottom of the zone and ran all the way back up, then ordered her pet to kill it. The pet died, of course, and came running up the zone. Then she gated and left us to the mercy of the giant.*****.

Hey Shamans and Rangers can SOW too you know. My ranger and shaman never have the Sow problem as my druid does. People are dumb.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 10 2001 at 5:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I hate druids! I totally agree! They are greedy, experience hungry loners! They claim that EVERYTHING you touched, they already had snared. They claim EVERY HG, SG, and IG in the world. They have no feelings for the well being of anyone, all they do is snare and dot. Any idiot can do that

Ya the most anoying thing about being a druid is that people wont wait 30 seconds for a SoW and expect us to drop evey thing and SoW them.
So all you SoW hungry people shut up and be pacent!

No kidding! I was in EC doing the orc pawn pic quest when I saw a Griffin spawn near toolbooth. I was like, I'm gonna watch this. The griffin takes both Gaurd Valon and Gaurd Colin and still has half health left. That's when i ran like h***.

Greetings,

I was after a bit of revenge myself. I used the following strategy, prolly wasn't the best, but worked for me. Im a level 34 necro conned the griff and he was even. I bought a SoW from a nearby druid. Cast dooming, he ported to me. Ran a ways off and rooted him. Dropped venom of snake and boiling blood, rooted again and repeated. Killed him and was oom, though i have very little int equipment on me. He dropped 2pp 7gp and change, a griff feather, a black pearl.

It used to be said Griffins would swoop down and knock the heads off of the guards. This was said when Griffins were first introduced.

HAPPY HUNTING!

#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 18 2000 at 7:33 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Here's a tip. Charm this thing, buff it all to hell, then take it to the Druid ring. Use /em pet guard here in the middle of the ring, then back off to a safe distance. Wait for the charm to wear off. Root the griff, and just wait for teleporting druids to get their ***** kicked as they come into the ring. It's great. Give those druid pricks a taste of their own medicine. **** 'em all, stupid bastards. = )

RE: Druid Kiting - How it works
# Jun 10 2001 at 7:17 PM Rating: Default
Not every Druid is an @$$, I'm a druid and I for one am not an @$$. I made my druid about 2 weeks ago and I am only lvl 8 but once I get my SOW I will SoW people for free basically so that they don't have to pay for a frikkin spell like I have had to do in the past... If you ask me theres nothing mean or greedy about that... Besides it's not the Druid that is "greedy for experience" it's the person in front of the monitor thats "greey for experience" and that goes for everything else said about druids, and every other class as well.

As a lvl 33 druid who has been kiting these things since my high 20's, allow me to share what I consider the most effective way to do it: Group with a tank (yes.. GROUP) roughly your level, then snare the griff and fear it so that it runs the other way. Then the tank starts bashing it from behind while the druid dots/heals/DS/blasts/re-fears as needed. Very effective... and safe for other parties in the area not involved in the hunt.

With regard to the flame contained in the previous post, I can only concur that there are some people playing the game who do act like complete jerks. These people are of every race and class in the game... and they always eventually get theirs. Not even a druid can solo forever. While I'm sorry that you obviously had a bad experience of some sort, please be so kind as to not trash every single person playing the druid class based on your unpleasant encounter with some thoughtless punk ;)

I am a level 38 necro and i came across one of these things after it had smoked a couple of noobs. I threw Dooming Darkness on it and then fear, followed that up with Vamp curse and boil blood with a helping of Venom of the snake. the thing was wearing down slowly, so I fired off some Shock of poison DD spells and finished it off. All this was done without a Pet

Mean druid
# Jul 30 2000 at 7:37 PM Rating: Default
Well, I saw recently a spectacle that I thought was kinda funny, but more mean. I just teleported in to WC and I saw a group of high lvl druids sitting and chatting. I came in at the tail end of the conversation, but I heard, "he he... I'm gonna do it :)" I thought, hmm... wonder what. So, I camo'd up, and followed him. There were shouts of griff at toll booth going on, so I knew I would have to stay camo. Soon enough the druid goes straight up to the griff, and charm's it. So he has some super pet walking around. Hmm... giant slaying? I wonder... but him and his pet start heading off to the NW. The shouts go off about how a druid is kiting it, so it is safe. The druid walks up to the derv camp, with at least 3 full groups of players, and gates! Yes... he gated! The pet then had no master, and butchered about half of the players there. I was disgusted.

I wish I remembered his name, I wrote it down because I wanted to rebuke him, but I forgot about the story til I read the stories above. I think being a druid is great, but sometimes there are abusive things that people do that can ruin the game for others.

If I were able to charm live creatures, I would have done the same thing. You have know idea what perspired before he released that creature upon the groups. Perhaps they took the camp from him.
But then again, for myself it would be just something for me to smile about..=)

He said he was a high level Druids you Moron. He was at the druid spires talking with other high levels. Why are you defending a jerk like that you &%^%#. It seems you people do the same thing and are trying to make it seem write. People like that should never be trusted. One more thing the Derv camp is not near the zone or anything else that should be camped for low levels. So they probably did not steel anything.

I saw a Monk pull a Sand Giant to the docks in Oasis...or NRo, cant remember...Anyways, he feigned death in front of the docks, which as you may know, houses many newbies at any given time. I luckily had sow and survived, but not before I witnessed the death of many fellow low level characters. How sad...creative...but sad
Griffin Watching
# Jul 24 2000 at 11:10 PM Rating: Decent
Whenever I'm around the east commonlands and a griffin is out, I like to go griffin watching. Basicly I follow the griffin and let everyone know where it's headed or where it is. It's not always easy, though. once I lost sight of it when it flew past orc camp 1, so I went back only to find it fly in and scatter the campers there. Ah well, at least I got to see it in action without getting killed.
hehe

I am a lvl 34 shaman with pet and can solo up to yellow ones pretty easily...just have to wait until I get a pet that's high level have it melee and you nuke it they have maybe 1500-2000hp i'd guess I am oom after every battle and pet is usually dead or near death so do no take these things lightly...

PS I love killing them because all the newbies think you're god:-)
