I solo these with my ranger for pretty good exp. Not fear kiting so it's not comparable to rhino exp, but they drop ok cash. These are pretty easy too. With only 32 mr I resist most of their stuns.
Heck, at 50 and bored of the usual spots I wandered over to bats and bugs after not being here in over a year and change. Wow! With the melee upgrades in the meantime, I (a Rogue) worked with a Monk and a Shammie to really destroy these little fellows. I mean they hit low, they stunned almost never (with a base 50ish MR and occasional buffs from passerbyes) and they dropped fast. Toss in a few LCDs and Nox spiders as available and you have an incredible little experience camp.

Can be fun ok exp not much on loot take a druid get to many or want to have fun charm them jus make sure before the next fight invis to break charm and kill it
Against even or even higher level bats, I resisted the scream a LOT with only 30ish MR. Probably about 2/3rds of the time I resisted them.
On the other hand, often on a triple pull or so, it was still well worth stunning one to give the enchanter a second to tash/entrance, without the risk of him getting stunned.
at level 41 as a druid with a measly 50 charisma, I could charm these pretty well if we got too much. Charm wears off, he will try to take your head off, but won't insta-kill you like some other mobs. Don't recommend this if you are expected to be the last line of heals, because the stun may make a party member dead when you can't cast.
Very useful when you want to kill nox tho. Have a party member pull nox and charm one of the bats that follows him. Then have bat tank nox till it dies. Then after bat is dead, nuke nox to hell and hope for a chitin bracer. I would recommend the charming for an enchanter though because of how crappy charisma shaman and druid have.
