He's not social with the ogre's so it's easy enough to snare him to a relatively open area and root rot him.
I had ogre's walk by while I was root rotting and they could care less. Just make sure you're invisible if the ogre's don't like you.

This is a NPC for the quest Against the Grain.
It starts out in Toskirakk from Wazlum ( he is in the corner in the zone in room)
Sakulapsidy says, 'Hail, Wazlum'
Wazlum says 'Hello there. There have been many tales of your heroics as of late. I must now ask [another] of you.'
Sakulapsidy says, 'another'
Wazlum says 'Yes. There is one in our midst named Ganrik who has apparently turned a blind eye to our cause and has joined our enemy. We must [deal] with him before he reveals all of our secrets to the ogres.'
Sakulapsidy says, 'deal'
Wazlum says 'If you [agree], you will not only be aiding us, but also hurting the ogres that plan on spreading their reign into the Plane of Earth.'
Sakulapsidy says, 'agree'
You have been assigned the task "Against the Grain"
Wazlum says 'Perfect! I have received word that you may be able to find him somewhere within the cave system.'
Ganrik is located in a couple of different places within the zone. Most of them are numbered on the map. The first one just says Ganrik on the map. They must be killed in order. After he dies, the body poofs immediately. Only the very last one had items on him. Each person in our group got the quest and all got update upon his death. High hit was around 4k.
After killing all 4 , you must hail Wazlum
You say, 'Hail, Wazlum'
Your task 'Against the Grain' has been updated.
Whatever secrets Ganrik had have died with him, as well as his treachery.
Your faction standing with Mitius, Herald of Change got better.
You have successfully been granted your reward for: Against the Grain
reward: new coin, faction and armor piece
