This bouncer is a task master. The task system was implemented with the Omens Of War expansion.
Players may go to him and get a task assigned that allows them something to do for cash and exp. A nice feature when you wish to play alone or cannot find a group, or have a short amount of time to play.
He offered my lvl 7 rogue the "Extraordinary Rodents" (had to kill 10 Giant Thicket Rats in Misty Thicket.) A side quest or task of collecting 4 rat whiskers was also completed while doing this task.
