This mob is not appearing in any of the 2010 revamped zones, and no Potion of Adventure (experience potion) is dropping.
With the revamp going live again in April 2009, here is an update:
Like other "unmasked" type mobs, this mob spawns immediately upon the death of a gnoll. It appears to be random on which mobs can spawn the unmasked.
The five or six times I saw this mob last night, it was a yellow con to my level 80 group.
It still drops the potion of adventure.

Like the Lower Guk Riftseekers give -Riftseekers + Overlord Mata Muram faction hits
confirmed - drops an adventure potion which allows greater experience gain for 30 minutes when used. The item is NO TRADE. That might be the common drop as it dropped a few times for us - the rare could be an aug, I heard.
