Target Cheslin and say, 'Your father sent me'

He is found in the tower in Qeynos Hills (he may be on his rounds you can wait at tower if you don't want to go running through the hills to find him)

Guard Cheslin says, 'My father has no need to worry and I do not need a babysitter. I may be in training still, but a Qeynos guard in training is still a formidable opponent. EVIL BEWARE!! HAIL ANTONIUS BAYLE!'

Guard Cheslin says, 'Hail, fellow guards! I am off to protect the travellers of the hills from evil. I shall return!'

Follow him on his rounds and pick up the four cards he drops.

Text for cards, he usually says this in tower:

Guard Cheslin says, 'I lost some of my [Illusion] playing cards. And they were the rare ones too! Darn it! If anyone finds them, please return them to me.'

You say, 'What Illusion playing cards?'

Guard Cheslin says, 'Oh!! Do you play Illusion, too? I love that game. I have some very rare cards in my deck. I seemed to have dropped four of them somewhere during my last patrol. Darn it! They probably blew away the minute I dropped them. I will never find those cards again.'

(Won't know what the names of the cards are till you get one, or turn one into him) As you're following him and he drops one, you will know when he drops one by him saying:

Guard Cheslin says, 'Fear not, simple travelers. Cheslin the masterful is here to protect you.'
Guard Cheslin says, 'Hey! Did I just drop something?'

He drops the card and continues walking, you can turn the cards in seperate if you wish, or wait till the end of his round and give them to him).

When you give him a card he says:

Guard Cheslin says, 'Wow!! I thought I lost this for good. All together I lost the [Illusion] cards: Ebon Lotus, Library of Erudin, Chrono Cyclone and Diamond Vale. Man!! Those are rare cards!'

When he gets the fourth card he says:

Guard Cheslin says, 'Oh great! I have all my cards back. Here is a little something for assisting a Qeynos Guard. And any time you are in trouble, just call on Cheslin, master swordsman. Take it to my father, Master Chesgard of the Knights of Thunder in Qeynos. No doubt he sent you to follow me on my watch.'
Your faction standing with Guards of Qeynos got better.
Your faction standing with Antonius Bayle got better.
Your faction standing with Corrupt Qeynos Guards got worse.
Your faction standing with Circle of Unseen Hands got worse.
Your faction standing with Merchants of Qeynos got better.
You gain experience!!
You receive 8 copper from Guard Cheslin.
You receive 11 silver from Guard Cheslin.
You receive 2 gold from Guard Cheslin.

You receive a sealed letter which you take back to Chesgard in South Qeynos. (Paladin Guildmaster)

Give Sealed letter to Chesgard Sydwen.

Chesgard Sydwen says, 'Hmmph!! My son is living in a fantasy world. Still, you have done well. Take this as a token of appreciation. It is not much, but it may come in handy.' (You receive a buckler)
Your faction standing with Knights of Thunder got better.
Your faction standing with Bloodsabers got worse.
Your faction standing with Priests of Life got better.
Your faction standing with Guards of Qeynos got better.
You gain experience!!

Guard Cheslin is the son of Chesguard in the Qeynos Pally guild. If your faction is good and you ask him who is Cheslin he tells you how he is a guard in training but is not cut out for it and he asks you to watch over him on one of his patrols. During the patrol, Cheslin drops 4 playing cards at various points. You have to follow him around and help him kill the mobs he attacks so he doesn't die before completing his rounds or before he drops all 4 cards.(And pray like hell he doesn't attack a bear or wolf when Holly is around. I have seen Holly run up on him from a distance but stop after the wolf he attacked died) When you have all 4, hail him so he stops moving and give him all 4 back at once. He gives you some silver and copper, faction goes up for Antonious Bayle, Guards of Qeynos, Merchants of Qeynos and down for Circle of Unseen Hands and maybe Bloodsabers? He also gives you a note to return to his father. his father gives you some petty coin and maybe a minor item. I got a buckler. I don't know if he gives any other items.

i killed him with my lvl 5 druid he totally sucks he walks around i just found him and he con'd blue to me so i totaled him in like 3-5 hits he totally sucks he did less then a booble with my 15 health buff hahaha

guard cheslin is so patheticly weak i have seen lvl 1 and 2 people traveling to the hills for the sole purpose to kill him or to laugh as they wacth him get killed by bats even i get a good laugh out of that

Once while i was wondering through qeynos hills i saw him sit there and viscously attack poor little scruffy after seeing that i take out my sword and i chopped him into fine dust his rust sword didnt stand a chance against my giant militia longsword and shiny brass shield.

OK, for those who haven't already noticed:
None of the NPCs in the game will take more than 4 items for a quest. No, the guy that wants illusion cards will not take any for his quest except the ones Cheslin drops.

Maybe some of the cards are droped by.. err... The guy in tov quest... U know, the erurdit in of the lake, near monk guild in Qeynos! :) Well when u give 2gold to this guy, he give u a card... i think theres 5 cards at all..

He is a crap losermoblie guard who cannot kill for sh*t, he is often slain by gnoll pups (how fgreakin' sad.) to the newbies, don't relie on him to save ur ass, he will only stall the creature, so run past him, hope he attackes and gets it off you, and keep runnin', i have seen him try and take the druid ppl, the lvl 30 guys, he attacked the bear, and one of the druid ppl helped the bear, missed cheslin, and then cheslin started to fight back, any guesses how fast he died?
In my opinion cheslin is sad.

Charm him and get a 50th to buff him to the gills them let him go... He'll survive his route then I bet... (Mem blur after the charm)

Ugh. This guy is level 1 and he drops cards that are for a broken quest, but you dont need to kill him, just follow him, and he drops the cards on the ground.

I thought the quest worked. You need all four cards, give them to back Cheslin all at once, he gives you a note you take to Chesguard, his none-too-proud father.
