soon as i got Endless Quiver i ran to qeynos to kill this bastage for some revenge.. took a long ass time to kill him, and he dropped a bronze halberd.

Heh dont bother killing him,i had a group of 5 people and i barely killed lieutenant dagarok,was combo of shaman,paladin,monk,rogue and wizard i believe

A friend an I decided to take down this punk, we found him lounging in the top right area of the Gate, in one of the rooms. 65 Druid and 65 Ranger took him down with ease. He has mad resists, resisted snare about 10 times, I landed about 4 dots the whole fight, and just kited while the ranger poked him full of arrows.

I was running though N. Qeynos yesterday getting some HQ Ore, when all of a sudden, Boom this Butt Munch hits me with a 751HT. Then thumps my skull repeatedly for something like 170 to 300hp's each time. Almost made it back to the POK book before "Loading Please Wait". I'm not sure what I did to piss this guy off, but is there something I can do to get this guy to con doubliously instead of threatening?

I'd appreciate the help

I have yet to test it, but since this S.o.B. smacked me but good the last time I was in Qeynos (at level 55 btw) I wanted to see about raising his factions so I would not have to cammo every time I tried to help friends get the Qeynos Badges. What I did was Orc Scalp Collecting ( http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=262]Orc ) and went from apprehensive to indif with Captain Ashlan for the 40 scalps I handed him (4 at a time unstacked of course)... Have yet to try my factions with Dagorak, but will edit this when I do...

Basically he killed me for doing the Qeynos Badge of Honor Quest and for killing all the guards that were dubious because I had it. I took them from dubious to threateningly in about 10 or so kills (not sure of all the names of the Guards I killed, sorry ... I just know they conned dubious so there blood is spilled). He killed me when I was going back in to help my Guildy get the confession document he forgot to keep for the 2nd Badge, hehehe. It was scary and funny to be about to zone to N Qeynos and suddenly get hit for about 285, 310, 176 and probably some HTs from the prior posts. I LDed when I died so I don't have all of the hits or the texts...all I know is I was dead within about 5 seconds and had no idea what was going on, LOL

After my untimely death I called upon some firepower to put a hurting on this bastage... I had a 56 Ranger friend come in and try to take him down while I was working on a rez ... he ran like a scared kitten from a bulldog. Seems he is resistant to speed changes and much magic (as previously posted) so that ruined my Druidic idea of root'n'dot, hehehe

One day he will be mine, oh yes, he will be mine ... I just wish they had his head drop to display it as a trophy for a job well done ... now that would be a prominent piece to display in a Magelo profile, hehehe

Found him in the front gate and figured "what the heck!"

I had my four chant set up (Fire, Cold, Poison, Disease) chants. I pulled him with one of those
and started twisting and running. Both newbie guard came with to try to help him, so I ran the three of them around the yard while I kited. (After a quick /who check to be sure no young'uns were about)

Fire and Cold chant never landed. Poison and Disease would land maybe 1 time in 4. I eventually just tried to keep those two chants up, but the damage was VERY slow in coming. I zoned to QH when he was at 81% to try a song swap.

I loaded OOS (MR/CR/FR debuff) and zoned back. This time I only had one newbie guard and Lt Dag chasing me. Even with the debuff, Fire and Cold chants would not land at all. Lt Dag was back up to 90% in my absence, and I pretyy much left him there when I zoned for another swap.

This time I tried loading the Magic chant. Came back and got Lt Dag away from the other guard so it was just him and me. Magic chant was also a no-go. By this point he was nearly 95% health again, and I was reduced to using the Poison/Disease chants only and taking him down in tiny little bits. The fight was probably going to take 30-60 minutes of kiting and it just wasn't worth it. I zoned one last time, and left him alone after that.

In short, the guy has some tough resists in Magic, Fire and Cold, and he's only barely susceptible to poison and disease. Seems kind of odd for a Bloodsaber, but go figure.

I had revenge on my mind last night so I swung by Qeynos. He was not up, so I killed corrupt guards until he spawned. I buffed up and proceeded to pull him out into the newbie area. I attemped snare and root about a dozen times before giving up on that tactic. I finally just kited him back and forth across the zone landing my 1300 DoT about 1/2 the time. I got him down to 60% health before I ran OOM and had to zone. I will try a couple different tactics and report back, but I think this guy is soloable.

Lt. Gag on cock did it again. Shows up near the zone and at least this time he killed me intelligently hts me and slashed me 2 times slain. Must have been puled close to there. I hate him and he will die one day.

Well, he is corrupt, so from the beginning, if u are tirning in gnoll fangs to Captin Tillins, notice, ur faction with corrupt guards just got worse. Many ways to faction up with corrupts.

1st- Give Trumpy Irontoe a set of 4 Honey Mead.
Youll lower faction with regular guards, but
you ll eventually kill more gnolls.
2nd- Give some bum that sits in front of the
ocean of the docks in SQ, 3 gold. Same low
faction with regular guards.
Last and Best- If u are 20 and up go to Highpass
Hold and kill the gnolls there, loot the
scalpse from them, and give them to the
Captin at the top, youll see him. No low
factions

He killed me today, he will be a rare spawn soon. my hubby and I will camp him. for a very long time.

I've never seen this guy before and have run around here a good bit. While returning from the bank, I passed him behind Crow's Tavern. As I passed I noticed the little skulls signifying fear start spinning around him.

Next thing I knew, He slashed for 341 or so and I was dead. I can only assume he got off his HT in there somewhere while I was out of it, but how he kept up with SOW, I dont know.

It should be every paladin's duty to slayeth this foe. I would make it mine, but as of yet lack the favor of Marr to vanquish this foe! He also has the ability to fool the noble Corporal Lanlot into attacking you. It is a sad day indeed when paladins are turned against paladins. Let not the corrupting influence of this dastard live for yet another day!!!

i completely aggree this guy should be taken out, he has killed me to many times, and for what..... killing gnolls

This prick dose not need to be here. There is no reason to put a 50 lvl corupt guard that agross by just geting to close in NQ. I am tired of spending an hour trying to get my body back twice in a town My faction can't get any higher.

Even though I grew up in Qeynos, I have never met him..until today.
He HT'd for 701, slashed for 365, bashed for 264...DEAD...
I had a security bubble into 46...not anymore. I have 2 pixels worth of exp into 46 now.
Of course, no Cleric is ever in this zone, and of course no cleric will waste their time following you to this place without some extra compensation. (at least most of the ones i have met)
Oh well...

this sonuvabitch kill me right when i zoned into NQ from SQ. it is plain exageration that people say that he hits for 800dam. i think that that is a bunch of bull. yes this guy is corrupt but i only witnessed him deal 375 dam. too bad i didnt live long enough. :P

I've seen a lot of posts saying he ht's for about 800 damage. First of all, HT does 10x lvl +1. So, if he were to HT for around 1000 damage, like one post said, he'd be level 100. I suppose he ht's then just hits really hard (like all guards like to do).

I play on xegony and a few old friends of mine killed him with us 2 groups of 50-60 , 52 cleric (me) 54 warrior 54 enchanter 60 mage 57 necro 60 druid , 51 ranger 59 shaman 57 cleric 60 enchanter and 60 warrior and 50 paladin , it took a LONG time , we had our 60 enchanter and 54 enchanter charm some blue con guards on him and the level 60 water pet and the necro spectre pet attacking ,he fights like a bitch , took down 7 guards and only down 1.5 bubs , that was when we ran outta guards and had to start melee'ing and everyone started banging on him , mind you this dude hits HARD as hell and hes only about level 50 , then we charmed crow and sent him on dagarok and thank god for this because crow saved our ass , lol we had dagarok rooted and him and crow were going at it for a while , when crow and the other guard we had found had died we went in for more melee , after one of our warriors , the mage , one ench and our shaman died , but we did get something nifty off him , a ring of levitation , not the summoned one , this one had no ac , unlimited charges of lev , but no casting time =D , oh yeah we also got a uber rusty halberd =D -- brantos -- xegony

Im on the torv server and since im KoS to corrupt guards i was hted by him,he HTed me for 701 points of damage and then casted engulfing darkness on me...Luckily i zoned with 2 red bubs left..

Who wants to bet that halberd he's holding is a rusty? :D
