OK, this guy has a place holder and walks a triangle in north qeynos newbie area NE sector.
Place holder is a Gnoll Pup. One of the points on the triangle is 1115,-854. The other 2 points are along the east wall. But he stands for some time at this location (best for doing turn in). If you are there and a gnoll pup is in that location, kill the gnoll. Jracol will pop soon. respawn is about 5 minutes.
I was doing the rogue errands quest and he stayed up for 3 game days while I was running back and forth doing turn ins. Once he despawned I killed the gnoll and Jracol was back in 5 minutes. It was day light hours when he respawned also.

This guy spawns every night around midnight in the same spot. So if you kill him I'm sure he'll come back the next night. Killing him does indeed raise your faction with Ring of Scale. What I don't know if he is who Madame Serena mentions to Cazic-Thule followers.

He doesn't seem to be up right now, had a Ranger track him and no Jracol...anyone seen him lately?

anyone know a easy way to raise fraction for this guy so i can turn in cards, or is there anyway to get none kos with this guy?
Don't know if he still spawns, but if he does you can find him in Northern Qeynos hidden back against the right wall.
EDIT: By right wall I mean the right wall of the newbie area.

That post below mine is rather old, and of the five times I've killed that guy (I may be level 32, but I absolutely HATE dark elves) I haven't gotten any ring of scale faction. It must've been changed. Little bugger's arrogant to, tells ME to move along, if I know what's best! Ha!
Oh, and he usually only drops a rusty dagger and something else, I forget what.

What isn't mentioned here is that killing Jracol Brestiage RAISES your faction with Ring of Scale. For me (High Elf Magician) that means way more than lowering factions in Highpass, where I will never have a reason to go. Furthermore, at level 11 he is quite simple for me to solo with a fireshielded pet, and the XP he gives simply cannot be beat. If you want some Ring of Scale faction, mad experience, don't care about loot or Highpass and want an (relatively) easy fight for all this, kick Jracol's inky butt.
I'm a reasonable man. Get off my case.

DONT KILL THIS GUY!! He may be the most exp for a level 12 and 13 out there but man the faction hurts. I killed him once and now no NPC will sell or talk to me and some KoS me. So if you see him just poke him or what ever else you want to do but dont kill.

I have just relocated and he aggroed on me (Iksar) so, rather annoyed that I may have to travel all the way from kunark again. I beat the living snot out of him. lots of fun, dropped a few sp no items.
Should I stop now because of the faction? as an Iksar monk is there any point in NOT killing him?
so I'm confused, I cant think that I want to go to HHK anyway so I might aswell just beat the guys brains out.

I made a mistake as a young lad and killed jarcol brestilage each time I passed him on my way to qeynos from NK for a few levels (he was easy to solo and gave good exp, even for a rogue).
The only time I have ever been able to walk across High Hold Pass was the first time as I cam over to qeynos. Now, many many years later, I am having trouble with my rogue epic becuase the smugglers do not like me one bit.
To my knowledge there is really no way to improve the faction hit he gives for citizens.

I'm surprised to learn about the tremendous faction hit in HH, kind of odd for one very low level DE running around in Qeynos no less. Ah well, one lowly dark elf, plus big mean shaman with a need to crush... well everything else on the planet, plus an area well away from any guards equals one mess that used to look like a dark elf. He was still btm way back at 17 and I smacked him around fer a few minutes, he hardly touched me (thanks to Walking Sleep), dropped a rusty dagger and some odd silver pieces. Too bad about the irreplaceable faction, but another notch goes on the ol' warhammer. )

heed my warning...do NOT kill this guy your faction with HHK will(jet crashes)...guard faction is easily repaired but that merchant faction is gonna cause you a LOT of left goblin ears

Well.... Me and my partner, a wood elf ranger, traveled to Qeynos. I tried to talk to him and he told me to blow off. (Dark elf rogue)Now my ranger partner was able to converse with him. So... he is an arse hole, but dont kill him - VERY bad faction. To recover level up to the point when he dosen't agro on you, then talk to Knargon in the local thieves guild and say, "What Package?" He will give you a card. Now the card is not No drop or lore, meaning you can turn backpacks and backpacks of them to Jracol. Dubious to Amiable in about 100 cards or so. hope this help.

Yup I killed this guy WAY too many times and am now perm KOS in HHP. After chatting at length with the VZ Heag GM, I was told he carries a negative faction hit with HHP Guards that is 25x worse than actually killing a guard.
I still argue that this must be a data entry error, it is ridiculous that a DE NPC has that severe a hit with HHP Guards.

Yes! Kill this guy too many times and you'll soon end up KOS in Highpass (I am) because of it.

Killed this guy just to see what he drops, nothing but a gold or two. He gives a serious faction hit to Highpass guards and merchants so try not to kill him if you're not in great standing with them. They used to look upon me kindly, now I'm dubious. Whooops =)
