I used illusion of human and benevolence I am also a high elf with that I just hailed her gave the 50 gold and she gave me my stone...I was indifferent with her

Her main faction is Guards of Qeynos because I went from Indifferent to Apprehensive with the guards and her (she respawns quickly) after killing her with a level 25 warrior on the Test server.

Low faction.
She is located behind the Mermaid's Lure by the docks in South Qeynos. She will take your money if you don't con favorably to her. To raise faction give brandy to Captain Rohand who is inside the Mermaid's Lure. Brandy can be bought in the Lion's Mane Inn, which is north as you exit the Mermaid's Lure. I went from apprehensive to amiable with 40 brandies to Rohand.

do i have to be an ally fraction to quenos beacuse i kill to many guards in a highkeep but i do know that i am kos to guards in freeport so does taht i mean i have to kill black berrow zone just ti get amibly and i think u have to kill bandits in krana i think but im not sure im ally to bandits =)

She doesn't say anything. I'm on high high, ally faction with her.. and nothing. She only responds if you say "I follow Tunare". Replacing "Tunare" with whatever God you want. She then gives you a little limerick about it. It's pretty good stuff too.. hehe.

You don't have to talk to her, just hand her 50gp and she gives you the rune, I was DE ench walked in dubious to me, still got the rune.

I think that she will not say the quest..You might just have to give her the 50gp and hope she doesn't take it.I'm sure though if you cast minor illusion or human illusion and benevolence you will be high enough to where she will hand you back the rune...If not then good luck with this quest ;).Going to get on and try it.Will post if it works without her saying the quest.

if youre having trouble getting madam serena to give you her rune of fortune, killing about 60 gnolls in blackburrow and giving 2 stacks of brandy (ctrl left click individual brandies into each of 4 give slots) to captain rohand in the mermaid inn, in south qeynos where serena is, raised my faction enough to do the trick - and in future dont kill koalindl fish with your main, causes too much qeynos faction problems, create a wizzy alt to kill the fish, that you can delete later, and then log on your main to loot the koalindl corpse

instead of her resisting all the time or just not giving it to you...just take a little chill time and go to black burrow...yeah it's boring but everyone needs a little time to just have fun and run around senselessly killing everything you possibly can...most gnolls will go down with a simple sanity warp...and by the time you get to the level to do this quest...you'll have plenty of mana to kill at least 12 gnolls per med...i've been there for a while and now Serena regards me as an ally =Þ

Tried to hail her, no response (with amiable). So I just gave her the 50 gp and *tatarata* got the rune back.

34th High Elf chanter here...I was having problems with this quest due to a lil bard hunting in South Karana. Her faction seems to be Guards of Qeynos. I was KOS to her and the guards, but the merchants of Qeynos loved me. I ended up giving 300 bottles of brandy to the Capt. Ding! Now she loves me and so do the Qeynos guards.

Im a 29 chanter Dark elf (agnostic) (on Solusek ro server) i do minor illusion, dont work, illusion human +benevolnce , alliance, (on me and her) dont work, i charm dont work, i kill her dont work, i Raise up my faction to kindly whit almost whit almost all queynos and queynos aceduc, i tell a GM but (GM, not guide) and nothing work, what i need to do by the hell?

I'm a level 40 enchanter with a 167 charisma. I tried charming Serena with Beguile 4 times and got 4 resists. After the first failed attempt I put tashani on her, and it apparently didn't help enough. Either this was incredibly bad luck, or she is extremely resistant to charms.

Well I am a Dark elf. I treid twice so far died both times due to guards in area. I was unable to cast Minor Illusion for fear of bring in guards. But I did go in as a human cast benevloance and still see wanted nothing to do with me.
The olny other opion I got left is the charm trick. I will try tomarrow.

the best way to gain instant faction is to charm a thing. anything charmed will be temporairly raised to amiable faction. but charm will break sooner or later. so charm, do the quest, then zone

Where the hell is this wench? Does she roam or something, good exp for lowbies...I couldn't find her in either North or South Qeynos, at least when I searched for her!

She is in South Qeynos near the docks, and on the south side of the building nearest the dock where the boat to Erudin stops. You can't miss her unless she has gotten stuck in the zone geometry. Sometimes she shows up inside that building or half in the wall of it.

hiya, ok i found her. i am wondering can i have a different char get the rune or do i have to use my enchanter? i made a human and she wouldn't speak to my char. if you just give her the 50 gold coins will she give you the rune without saying anything to you? i conned with my newbie warmly to the brandy guy and indifferent to guards and indifferent to madame serena. thanks for any help

As Jacara has posted there is a way to raise your faction with Madame Serena. First give a bunch of brandy to the Captain that is in the same room as she is. Her faction is Guards of Qeynos. I was able to raise my faction up to threatening at which time giving the Captain more brandy would not raise it any further. Then cast Minor Illusion/Benevolence to raise your faction with her even further. I still wasn't able to get my faction above threatening but by killing a dozen Gnolls in BB I was able to raise it to Dubious. I was only on long enough to test out Jacaras' suggestion but am very confident that by killing a couple of dozen more gnolls I will be able to complete the Quest. Kudos to Jacara for that excellent suggestion.

Just cast minor illusion+benevolence, she will con amiably and then if u give her 50g she will return the rune

Her faction has noting to do with Guard faction in Q - I am not sure about the brandy and will attempt - The highest Faction i could get was in Spirit Wolf Form (Which gave me indiffrent to guards and dubious to serena ~ hence ~ the guards faction is not the same as sarena's faction. I tried every illusion i could - she Scowls at my elemental forms and is dubious to all others. ~ Ill post a result when i figure out the faction stance

She is at the Mermaid Lure and has been there everytime I have gone there. I too am having problems getting her to speak with me. I'll try the Minor Illusion/Benevolence tonite to see if that works and report back tomorrow.

to bad then I think she's a bloodsaber I read on a site get a necro folowing berrtoloxx and tell her I follow bertoloxx or whatever his name is she'll say a surprise!!

Some feedback from the Quest part of the website that may or may not be true (haven't found her yet to try it), but is better than nothing so I'm re-posting it:
- There's a guard Captain near her you can hail and he wants some kind of booze (brandy?) - giving him brandy raises faction with her.
- Minor Illusion should take you to indifferent, then cast Alliance / Benevolence to raise from there. This one works for other quests, I don't see why it wouldn't work here.

I am an level 32 enchanter and I can walk through all towns as an Erudite. How do I raise my faction with her? Is she under qeynos residents? I have killed the boring gnolls in BB for hours on hours to raise my faction and no luck this far. If anyone knows plz email me at bullfrog@atlantic.net thanks.
