Took a group to SHIP and found this gnome up near the second floor pads. We were able to get him down to 49% before we wiped to this stupid little undercon. Hit my 4.5kac defensive WAR for 3.7k. The softies in my group reported getting hit very close to 8k. Thinking about giving him another try in the future, if people and time permit. Does this guy really drop anything worthwhile, like steamcores?

He does infact drop a steamcore. A guildy had me run over to S.H.I.P. to single him out of a full room for his group; guildy got the core.

Ignore this dude above me, he probably had mistaken this mob with the other one named Head Administrator Grigano... this mob drops nothing more than trash.. maybe you might get lucky with a loam or marrow or whatever after 1000 kills.
I saw this guy up today but I wasn't able to kill him as he does not reset once his aggro is lost and someone trained him across the zone, so he got stuck in oblivion. He is one of the only mobs on the first floor which does not see invis, however he DOES see through the gnomework illusion so even if you are under the illusion, use invis or you will die if he's up.
If you decide to kill him and your tank doesn't have at least 20k buffed and mass AC, leave him alone. He demolishes people with any bit less, not unlike the rest of the zone.

Actually, he does not see through illusion anymore. Ran my bard through, no invis, just the illusion, and he conned Dubious.

killed him 2 times with no loot now, just further confirming that they might have changed the loot table
We singled grouped him last night - hits fully defensive lvl 80 warrior about 3k normally - hits harder than anything in SHIP - has a ton of hitpoints - 500k sounds about right
He dropped only a tantalum ore - NO Steam core - I have heard on EQsummoners that there is a Head Administrator Grigano that does drop the Steam Core: Consort. Ignore the posts that the Chef drops a steam core. Not worth the trouble to kill this one.

Killed him tonight with 2 groups. Tried first with our group of 5 (warrior and druid with boxed cleric/mage/enchanter) but we needed more heal power. Got a second group to join in (necro, enchanter, paladin, monk, wizard and shaman box)and did well against him. Max hit was for around 4k. Only dropped an exquisite animal pelt and a dweric powder.

he has no static location where he stays at if you train him somewhere he stays there hits like a truck and dropped same stuff the rest of the zone trash drops

ATTEMPTED this mob with a Demi/AG group, had him to 35%. With a 20k plus unbuffed war he was hittin for 12k

killed him with one group all anguish/demi geared. didnt drop anything.
i'd like to see that, we attempted to kill him with an ashengate geared tank and he ate thru him in less than 5 seconds... with 2 healers... i don't believe it for 1 sec =P

one grouped this with 4 boxes in group 23khp /3.8k war 2k +aa's had to use all defense discs and burn him before it faded and spam fast heals with 3 healers and was still a close fight wiped a couple times before we got him and then no loot ... lame

Well then your healers weren't doing their job. My normal group killed him and we're not even Demi level. He hits hard and he's a pain in the ass cause he doesn't drop anything.

killed him with 3 grps probably far to much was kind of an overkill 2 grps with at least 3 healers and a tank should take him out.
