started killing her at 13.pull with heat blood ,send pet, darkness,fear,leach. thats it . wish all kills were this easy

I camped Misty as a lvl 14 Druid for 1 day, got all the way to 16 by levitating to the roof top then just root, dot, dd. She would con anywhere from dark blue to red, conned yellow and white most of the time. There's a merchant (names Coldfeet or toes or something) on the other side of the house Misty is at so you don't have to go far at all to sell the instrument she drops. Guard McCluskey does come around a few times but I was nuking her while he was there, looted her while he watched, didn't do a think to me because he's corrupt. I'm indifferent to all Qeynos guards and merchants now. But the bards think I'm dipicible :)

There are two other mobs that spawn near her that you can take out at while waiting. They are quest mobs and are located near the houses along the north wall. They take a long time to repop though.

One is a caster and one is a melee and they conned differently too, the caster had worse starting faction. (I'm a DE necro) I just walked close to them and the caster would KOS while the other just stood there.

There is also a quard that spawns next to Misty at the next house down. He is a quest mob and also takes forever to respawn. If you /hail Misty (before you become KOS) she mentions this guy..saying something like, "We can't talk with Guard So-and-So around."

I did this camp as a 14 Necro. I'm fairly twinked and I could usually get her using only 1-2 bubs of mana, so there was a lot of time spent waiting with full mana, which seemed like a waste. The pace wasn't quite fast enough.

After hunting sirens in the OOT through 15, I camped Misty starting at 16. Misty does range up in level to 17, conning black to me at that level. This is a safe, easy camp for many reasons. First is Misty herself. While she can hit into the mid 30s, she has relatively few hit points and attacks only at moderate speed. I was almost always able to cast between blows on the few occasions I actually had to melee. (As a necro, I imagine that I could have started the camp at 14 or 15. With a level 12 Convoke Shadow pet, however, I likely would have been forced to tank on occasion to save my minion. Also, resists could play a factor with the mob at her higher levels.) The second benefit of this camp is its location. The NW corner of Western Karana is very safe. While I would occasionally see animals on the horizon, none drifted even remotely close to the area in which you will be fighting. None of the NPCs stationed in the area will come to Misty’s aid, nor will low level Brother Estle, who wonders through the area every ten minutes or so. There is a mid-level guard, McCluskey, who enters the picture, but is easily avoided if you follow my advice below. I do not know if McCluskey will aid Misty, having never been fighting her close to his standing location in the area. I always pulled out of his agro range. Just to be safe, I would not pull her when he is nearby. McCluskey will run from directly south of Misty and station himself just to her right. He will remain there for up to a minute and then sprint back the way he came. (He runs very quickly at what is likely SoW speed.) I never had him reappear less than thirty minutes after his last visit and sometimes hours would pass before his next visit. As for your camp spot, I stationed myself directly in front of Misty, near the top of a small rise in the area. If you look to your right, there will be two buildings with a tree between them. Put yourself “level” with that tree. This is out of McCluskey’s agro range, at least for my con of him as apprehensive. I never had to fear kite Misty, so I don’t know her pathing for this. At about 10% of her hit points, she will turn at walk south, unless snared. If she is allowed to get too far, this could place her on McCluskey’s return path should he appear at the wrong moment. Druids could easily kite her in the open area around the buildings to the east of Misty’s spawn. Spell classes can safely med at the pulling area level with the tree. She spawns at just under six minutes. I set a timer for 5.5 minutes and was always full mana for her appearance. For you necros, I pulled with Heart Flutter for the debuff, then sent in pet when Misty had been drawn far enough away from her spawn point, followed by Engulfing Darkness, Disease Cloud (I still really like this spell when other more powerful DOTs are not required), and finally Heat Blood. I had Shielding on myself, of course, and Spirit Armor on both my pet and myself. I renewed these buffs about every third kill to make sure they never dropped. Pet was a level 16 Restless Bones and I made sure it always conned at least dark blue. Finally, a word about faction is in order. Others have mentioned that the bard faction hits from killing Misty are much smaller than with NPC bards of greater level. I would say that this is correct. However, it still took me less time than I had expected to lower my faction based on what has been noted. I started at dubious. After three yellow bubbles, I was at threatening. Two to three more took me to scowls. As a gnomish necro, bard faction isn’t terribly important to me. For some non-evil classes (and races) it might be very important. Folks that have been bard hunters of old have warned me that once bard faction is ruined, it is all but impossible to fix. One can hunt for weeks in Mistmoore and not begin to make a dent. Keep this in mind as you kill Misty. Misty could be camped through 18, especially if money is tight. With a charisma of only 65, I sold the mandolins in the Qeynos tunnels for 1PP, 1GP, 5 SP. (Some of the best prices in all of Norrath for dark races can be found in the tunnels.) She also dropped rawhide armor and an occasional word or page. Personally, I will likely not continue to camp her at 18. I don’t need the money and there are other avenues available at 18 for better experience. One last real-world concern… bring a book. This camp is great in-game, but horribly boring while you are just sitting there. The fights are easy and there is nothing between them to keep you on your toes. My personal suggestion would be the Honor Harrington series by David Weber if you haven’t already discovered them. I hope you will find this useful. Good hunting!

i stand on the roof and nuke her tell shestarts to run then i jump off and mele her. shes great exp but BAD factions but you can easly get them up in blackburrow and MM she loots her insterment thats sellf for 1pp ive killed hes sence lvl 12 with all my casting characters includint my druid shammy and enchanter

I'm a level 13 human necro and I just started camping her last night. Most of the time she cons even or yellow to me, but occasionally she cons red. Even at red, she's a pretty easy kill. The closest she came to beating me was killing my pet, which I made her pay for.

As it's been said before, loot is great. I can turn around to the shops and sell her mandolin, which she has always dropped for me, for 1.5pp and every once in awhile she drops a rawhide cloak which you can get a few coin for.

I was killing her yesterday as a DE Necro. She is dubious to me at this point as are the Qeynos guards. I am level 15 and she cons from risky blue to yellow. Good experience. Only issue is Brother Estle walks by a lot and he attacks me... he is very easy to kill just annoying. And once Guard McKlusky went running by as if he was running from the houses towards Tower 1. The mandolin is nice loot. I park my druid beside me and he sells them to the vendor at the house for 1pp 6g and some change (give or take a gold). Well, yeterday about 200 swarmlings and the Swarm Mother spawned and ran me out of the zone for a bit but the high level folks killed em pretty quick.

I killed her just cause I hate bards.

if your a DE Necro as I am, she is wonderful exp from 14 to about 16 (or 17 if you dont get bored easy =p). She isnt too hard to kill, at 14 i could solo her but took ALL my mana and pet. MUST CAST DARKNESS she is quite fast, and will come for you, not pet and will not give up lusting for your blood till she dies. aDrops lutes worth about 1.5 plat each, if u get a newbie to sell for ya =p. After 16 go to NK and get her sister muhahahaha

It's so sad when people kill Bards that come from my hometown, I just hope you poor saps get unlucky and she kills you. I remember one time I was standing near the zone to Qeynos Hills and two guys ran up to me begging for me, a Bard, to help them because she was killing them. HAHA losers....

i wanna kill her badly. where does she spawn? is she a roamer?

You can always spend a few weeks in Mistmoore castle... I spent around 4 weeks there and brought my faction for the bards from KOS to just threateningly. If you call that an improvement

So what can I do once I've murdered my faction with the League of Antonican Bards and Knights of Thunder down to "glares at you threateningly"? Eek!

Shes Nothing ! a lv12 necro can clear her withour troble even shes Reddish! Shes Nothing Believe me! Gona kill her now hehe ! great loot and Exp!

my only advice: kill her from lvl 12 to 16 (you may have to group at lvls 12 and 13). she is the best exp you can get and she usually drops a few gp and always drops a mandalin that sells for 1pp and change

She ranges from 13-17, shes the best exp in the game!, Me being a necro can solo her at level 12 even when she was a deep red, just pull with heat blood then i used leach, then just jump in take some hits and drain her life away. If went from 12 to 16 in 10 hours. Pretty good eh? =)

The max lv for her is wrong she has been even to me at lv17 before lv17 is her max lv cus I have camped her alot.
