so tell me how a boat has a level and how the good people of Alla new the boat was lv 50 heeh I wonder how this boat got to lv 50 HEH must have killed lots of lv 1 fishes and had people PL hehe cant u jsut see a cleric healin a boat PLin hehe! EQ ur funny specially when EQ was first made ahh good times good times..

Well, I haven't gotten attacked by a boat... yet... but the clicking on them and telling you "You have the helm, captain" is real.

It would be fun, too... if I wasn't faster than the boat already, lol

Don't be so quick to judge that they are making it up. They most likely are, but you never know...

Is it just me, or is the whole point of playing this game to have some fun? It's really not cool to down other people just for showing a little imagination, and a desire to kid around and have a good time. EQ is not a job, or a way of life, it's a game. Get the connection? Game=Fun!! Or at least it should. So get a clue, get a life, and if that's your attitude about people trying to have a little fun, then you should probably get a new hobby.

if you manage to kill these guy do you get xp?an item? and do they attack back?

The other day, somebody somehow pulled the boat onland and charmed it. Eventually, the charm wore off and it started to fight the guy (don't ask). It double attacked for around 540 and needless to say, the guy who charmed died quite quickly.

Meanwhile, I was hitting bats and snakes with my Club* and my Tunic* while I noticed some people starting to shout things like "what's a boat doing on land" and "wtf, a boat just killed me". Of course, I smiled when I heard their dying complaints: boats didn't aggro on people. I took on the next goblin whelp...

At this time, all of GFay and LFay and Freeport and even HK heard about this "bug". Level 40+'s came from around the area to take on the boat. People started to create parties as the boat neared me...

Here's my fight with the whelp:

Finally, the groups of 40+'s started to attack the boat. Soon, it was down to 10% hp, when all of a sudden:

A boat has been fixed for 2538 points of damage

A boat has been fixed for 2584 points of damage...

The process repeated for a while and the boat maker was quite a threat, especially when he started to sink stuff for 582 points of damage.

Finally, he was oom, and we took him out and the boat afterwards. The boat dropped a cracked helm (no drop, lore) and the boat maker dropped a crude hammer of nauticality (43d, 23 delay, 2hb, All Races All Classes +30 to all saves +10 STR +10 AGI +10 STA +20 WIS +20 INT +10 DEX).

All in all, it was fun to watch the futile attempts of the guards and other pcs to destroy the boat when the boatmaker was around. Reading the posts above, I can confirm that the boat maker can summon a titanic, which he tried to cast once, but we defeated him first.

He quads for 1 point of damage but summons an uber mob that basically takes up the whole zone and quads for 10 damage. If you run he DT's you :(
