Just killed this guy in DC and he gave the following faction:

Paladins of Underfoot - worse
Kazon Stormhammer - worse
Clerics of Underfoot - worse
Veeshan - BETTER

Not sure when that change went in

Dark blue to 51

I was fishing on the island, waiting to go to Kedge and saw this guy, so I dropped him. He's a sissy.
Random attacks

Anyone have any idea why this guy would attack you if you were just sitting there on the island and not doing anything? I have been waiting for several Kedge raids and have had him attack members of my party as well as myself when none of us have done anything.

The reason he attacks me is quite simple indeed, He is a stinky little dwarf. My family in neriak, had a nice dinner consisting of stew of dwarf parts. =)
Just more trivia...

He has a range of levels, being dark blue to a level 55 about 1/3 of the time. With his lower level spawns, he buffs himself almost instantly after spawning; with his highest-level spawn, he waits about 10 seconds and casts a different spell. Which means it's actually easier to kill his higher spawns since you can catch him before he buffs himself; and the buff he uses definately has a noticable MR to it.
blue one - at L39

Weighted Gloves
# Apr 09 2002 at 1:00 PM Rating: Default
Dropped weighted gloves for me today... I have been hunting him for several levels now, and that was the first I'd seen of those. Look like claws when he had them equipped. I'm assuming they are just newer additions to the typical fine steel collection.
Easy kill

Keep him Feared, and he's a dead easy kill. Without the ability to heal himself, he drops fast.
Hmmmm.....

He cons blue to me at 56th, so I think he may be higher than 39th. Also, clerics and paladins guild loves me, but he is appregensive.

Tuff lil guy

This lil dwarf paladin stands placidily staring at one of those rock monoliths with the carved face on it(like those found in BB and on the Sis isle in OOT)on the island in the center of the cauldron. He is a tricky kill solo and as a necro has run me out of mana before l 49.He has a 6 min spawn and u can sell his FS weapons to dwarf at top of isle(merchant dosent care about the paly)
This is good spawn for a solo necro.I flew thru 47 to 50 in no time. But did so since dwarves hated me since i first drew breath.I made around 1500p during those levels from his various loots and the plethora of aqua gobs that my pet shredded while i was medding.I've never seen anyone but me camp him and hell i liked it that way...:).

Spawn rate
# Jul 10 2000 at 5:12 PM Rating: Decent
Anyone know the spawn rate and/or number of hp's for this guy? Also, what is the faction hit?
RE: Spawn rate
# Oct 09 2000 at 11:06 PM Rating: Default
6 minute spawn, Faction hits are Clerics and Paladins of Underfoot, Veeshan, and Stormhammer all get worse. Not that many HPs, I would guess around 2000 or so but he lays hands every fight so figure on a total of 3500 or so. Not worth the kill in my opinion, SFs in OOT are better exp, hit for less, and drop better loot.

He is a Dwarf Pladin and does heal himself. Ocassionally he will Lay hands. Drops plat, and FS swords. Hits for 114. Dwarf Rogue on top of the hill will not help him if you are killing him.

This is the Dwarf on the island indeed. He drops nothing of worth; he is a tough kill because he heals himself and hits for 108.
This guy sux
# Mar 23 2000 at 2:55 AM Rating: Default
Aye this guy is a Dwarf on the island in the middle of the lake...he is standing next to a glowing slab of rock...he sucks because it seems he will help kill and goblins that attack a dwarf near him but if you are not dwarf and you run to him for help he will let you die....he helped my Human cleric kill one gob one time but never again...musta been a bug...yet he has helped my dwarven friend many times while he was trying to sell.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 01 2000 at 11:00 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is one of the 4 npcs at the NPC camp. which is to your right as you leave the canyon and travels a short bit. These four npcs work together and call themselves the Fabulous Four. They will kill any monster that wanders near their camp and chase it until it is dead then wander back. They are aggressive to dark races ( troll, ogre, dark elf ) and also to necromancers of any race, but other 'good' combinations can safely sit down at their camp and rest/med. Hailing these NPC's is humorous. They are benevolent and will offer heal you if you ask the High Elf Paladin. When you ask the Paladin he actually says he has to conserve his mana, but they will escort people from the cauldron apparently. I haven't tried to see how this works, but I assume they walk up to the canyon to Butcher Block as I have seen them up there many times stuck against the canyon walls as they try to get back. I always assumed that people trained them up there but maybe they were escorted.
Um.....

Correction...This guy is on the island in the middle of the zone. The four npc's at the camp near the zone to Butcherblock are all around lvl 20. I know because they con'd blue at lvl 22. Also this particular guy is a DWARF. Ok just thought you should know.
