They can mostly be found in the caves near Lady Vox, along with bears, spiders and terrors.

Ok, This plug jus killed me as bit back, took me by surprise and had me down by 20% before I even got to look at it! I play a 48 ranger on Veeshan, I really wanted to get even... Funnest way? Grab a cleric with KEI and beat the snot out of it... Sure mages got nukes, but it's not as fun as hands on vengeance. I was wondering tho, what's a good way to try this one Solo? When I an kill him one on one... =D I didn't try my root, didn't think about snare until I'd already started attackin him =p Is he snareable? Think root would hold long enough for me to back up and uber ranja heal myself? (/laugh)

Would a lvl 50 ranger be able to fear kite these and the giant polar bears?

They are not animals. Animal fear does not work on them. Been there, tried that!

No, being underground you would hurt yourself pretty badly fear kiting them. Especially with all the ladders they can fly up and you'd have to climb. Then the returning train of spiders terrors, whatever would hurt. Wouldn't suggest fear kiting in any cave setting unless everythings green and you're playing with a new AOE nuke.

there are the dire wolves, and there is the GIANT DIRE WOLF.
there is a HUGE difference. the that you stand and look at are not the ones to fear, though they can be tough early on. this puppy can easily double bite for 130.
thats NOTHING to scoff at.

Dude you totally missed the joke. These guys are called 'a giant dire wolf' and they are the same size as a white wolf found outside halas.

These things dont double for 130 either. I think you need to relax.

The Dire wolves in Perma look harmless compared to even shadow wolves or regular wolves due to their smallish size. WOW.. dont be fooled! They pack a wallop and have a LOT of HP for their size!
