I was wandering around the cyclops island for druid epic when I forage a pod of water so I dropped it on the ground next to him next thing I see is Toki binlittle says " only a fool drops such booty upon the ground. This now be the property of the Pirates of Gunthak!" and poof my little bag on the ground is gone.

Heheh, I was going around the island, and once I saw this gnome, I didn't know if it was a monster or not. Thank god that I didn't attack it, since I was only level 5. =P

Can A lvl 16 cleric hunt here, solo or group? and should i wait till a little higher lvl? is it good exp? and is it good loot?

i looted a small drop of oil off him. killed him for several hours (killing time and collecting gnome meat in the process) and it was the only one i saw. is this used in a quest? any info would be helpful. he also dropped different sized gizmos which i let rot due to no room in inventory. i dont see any postings on these items so perhaps they are either a) new, or b) trash....all of these items are tradable BTW.

The head is to be returned to Tergon Brenclog in the Magic University in Ak'anon. It is supposed to provide proof that you killed this 'defector' of the gnomish cause. Anyway, *IF* your a magician...or just mule for one. You might want to consider grabbing this head. when you turn it in, you get an Elemental Grimoire which is what the Magician class uses for their spell research. While this book is available everywhere for sale (at LOTS of pp), might as well get some EXP, CASH, and Faction along with a free book! ;)

I was just killing Gornit for some cash and exp and I saw this little band...so I killed them all and the cpt drops a Bracer ac5 +5str and the gnome drops a dark elf head. I want to know why it is a Dark elf head and not a gnome one. If it is "proof" that you killed a trader gnome.

The head, I've been told, no confirm, goes to one of the gnomes in exchange for this magical tome worth about 10 pp. the point is, he's supposed to take the spell book of toko, but apparently the head does the same, or so I was told.
He cons green early on in the 20's, but he hits hard. he burns like an SoB. going one on one with him and the pet, I've come close to dying at 26th, and I'm generously equipped owing to being a wealth merchant among pc's.
he's not worth the effort to kill, unless you're taking the pirates with enough people to kill them all in one batch, anyway.
