Myself, a 63 bard, and two guildies went to Marus Seru to hunt the Fabled Kvaknak. we spent about an hour and a half running around killing the beetles, along with anything else that crossed our paths in case they blocked beetles from spawning. we killed a lot of Zelniaks since they are KOS while most other mobs in the zone aren't, and this guy popped up on tracking when we had given up.
He's a roamer. Pushover for an SK, pally, pally, shammy and myself. not so great reward...

He came out of nowhere at me while i was farming greyhopper hides lol.

Sounds like my 51 wizzie would not be able to solo this...the above posters look like they had some difficulty here, and they were much higher level than me - probably better geared too.
But where in the zone does it spawn? And what causes it to pop? I ran through marus seru last night - damned if I could find anything. Keep in mind that all I know about fabled mobs is the better gear and they only spawn this time of year.

Drops fabled ancient fossil which is +5 ac aug and required level 40. Took it down with 68 ranger was at 15% health when done.
Soloed this guy with a 70 bard ....slowed and straight melee enraged at 10% think my bard had 50% at the end due to the enrage think he dropped a +5 or 10 AC aug..
