Was killing caimans with level 9 chanter and saw the gypsy camps...wandered over to buy some bandages. Hailed all the NPCs and lo and behold, Synthan offers up the Concordance of Research quest (AKA Lightstone turn in). In days of yore, on my server this was the "neutral" character turn in for quest, when the land she stands on was Oasis zone. Now her and Smith share the revamped South Ro zone.
Key changes from the long ago:
-Synthan responds to hail with bracketed concordance quest stuff; She was non-verbal about it before
-Concordances you get with Greater Light Stone turn in now don't sell for as much. 4 plat 2 gold to Parcel vendor who was Kindly conned (or so) with a 120ish charisma
used to be a good cash maker, now it is very similar to vendor price for GLS or same.
XP currently was 5% per GLS turn in at level 9, not bad if you have a few, this would scale nicely at 1-7

I went there yesterday and returned today, and Synthan seems to have packed her bags. I have a pack full of GLS to give away and she is not there. I don't know why,maybe they got rid of her?

I tried to turn in lightstones today also, no Synthan. This was on the Drinal server. I petitioned and a GM said he would look for her and get back to me, but this never happened. Is she still on other servers?

this woman is NOT lvl 35! my friends level 15 ogre warrior had trouble taking it out. now what is the excuse for that? i am just lettin ya know...some false info.

i gave her a GLS - recieved nothing. i am a HUM/CLR lvl 14. i did the same with my HUM/WIZ lvl 6. the same - only little xp(no container or books). can every race/class deal to her? what was wrong? is it part of a quest - contact an NPC

This is the merchant to whom you give your Greater Lightstones. She gives you a Book of Concordance, I think which I (100+CHA) can turn around and sell back for 9 1/2 pp. 7 GLS gave me 1/2 bub exp at lvl 17!
The trip here from WC, where so many wisps live and die, is much safer than the run to NK, though nasty mobs (Sand Giants, ghouls, spectres if trained) roam here. Plus there are others (Madmen, mummies) that lower characters should keep an eye out for while turning these in.
She also takes lightstones which give similar exp but cost you money, LS are worth 9g5s to merchant, with top charisma, and she gives you a book worth 9 silver instead. The GLS (Greater Light Stones) you can buy from players for 7 or 8 p, sometimes less, and get 9p5g as Fairduke said, for the concordance. The other merchants near her may pay more than she does if your charisma is lower.
Three things to know:
1) The concordance is a container, make sure you have enough general inventory slots for the GLS you are giving her. The books you get for LS are not containers.
2) Synthan does NOT answer to a hail, unlike Myrsala in North Karanas. So if you are unsure about her then try a LS first.
3) Make sure you are at least apprehensive to her, dubious will just cost you the LS or GLS with no exp and no reward. (Evil races have a DE at the camp in South Ro, not far from Oasis zone, I forget her name, she is on your left, she faces Oasis, as you come from Oasis).
This is a great quest to make money and experience, and she is the easiest one to do the quest with.

The DE in S Ro for evil-types to give LS/GLS to is Smith T'Vysa.
You don't actually have to be evil, you just need indifferent or better faction with the Dark Bargainers, which my High Elf has after doing the Red Wine quest in the Neriak Library (3rd Gate). Note that if you're lower than indifferent with Lokar Tobieth <sp?> in the library, you'll need to do that trick where you first put the wine in the trade window, then someone invis's you, then you click trade. That's the only way he'll take it until you get to indifferent on your own, then knock yourself out. (See Lokar's link on Illia's here for more details)
