Complete all of his quests for the Monkey Rock (70-80) achievement. Reward is Hero's type bracers, slightly better than elaborate defiant. If you are not yet 70 when you complete the quests, the achievement will update when you ding 70.

HAR yee mateys if yee be needin Doubloon,, to complete yee combine of yee bone yee find ,,, check out researcher higgins, on barren coast, has a mission to collect items on monkey rock island pays 30 doubloons,mite as well kill to bird with yer one stone ,, lost pirates of karana !!!rock the rathe!!

You cannot do the Trophy Hunter Locke tasks inside the instance for Researcher Higgin's task. The items must be looted in the main Buried Sea zone and do not update Locke's tasks when looted in the instance.
So back to hunting rats for me - it's like being a noob again, but at lvl 57 I'd expect to have the same benefits real noobs have - i.e. be able to go to the guards for safety if a pull goes wrong. Not have a lvl 80 quest mob start on you too!
Still at Run3 I can out run him to the zone line, so although he's killed me once, he hasn't done so the other times.

It not just killing rats. After seeing "Trophy Hunter Locke Hits you for 1150" over and over again within a few seconds..... several times, I finally concluded that if you go into town while hunting animals ( in my case it was ravens), he aggroes on you.
Since I am only a level 65 Druid, this was sudden death for me.
You see those crossed swords in your status box, do not go into town...
