How sweet revenge is!

As a wee druidling, this Treant scared my thong RIGHT off me! Little did I know at the time that Treants were friendly towards us tree hugging folk.

Nonetheless, ole' Xanuusus just had to go. So what did I do? I logged in my evil alter ego, a 60 Shadow Mistress, and taught him that bad girls always finish first!

I (55 SK) just got done slaying this guy as a sort of revenge. Like so many others, I was killed by him as a newbie. The estimate of 15k hp is about right. Hit me twice with nukes (400 and 600), one root and one dot set and about 1000 points of melee damage. Three or four super green npc's aggro when you engage this guy. I took the damage while dealing with them. Took about 5 runs of snareless fear kitting (I used sow potion). Being unbuffed, the fight ended with me at 70% health and 10% mana, thank Bertoxxulous for mental corruption and the mace of dark glory! He dropped a wood shard and Parth of Yasaeth's Conpendium Pt. 70 (SP)

He may be a goodly tree... but why are his eyes red?

Just a quick question bout this guy. I have killed just a treant or two in my career so far, one both to save lower lvl people from getting themselves killed. I haven't started epic yet, so my question is, did this ruin my faction, and chances for the turn in to Xanuusus?

This guy seems to be the final turn ins for both the druid epic and the ranger epic (Earthcaller part) So obviously he hates evil characters. I was just wondering as a human ranger, do I need my faction to be high to do the final turn ins to get Earthcaller?

Port into North Karana and head North. He's at the northernmost edge of the zone near pos 1265 neg 920. If he isn't up, then someone either just killed him or turned in their Epic items (he poofs upon successful turnin). Bind next to him and check every couple hours.

dont bother killing him, he dropped a great staff.. he did con DB to a lvl 61 however, so the exp is always welcome. very easy kill when fear kited. no MR whatsoever.. bout 15k hp's.. a baby

Yeah thats a good thing to do,kill the last guy needed for the Ranger Epics..ummm,just hope theres no Rangers in the zone when you do it or you might find yourself Hunted.

A level 44 druid in my guild asked for help with his epic. As a shaman I dont know squat about druid epics except they have to kill alot of corrupted/tainted mobs. He said this rare tree which conned red to him need to be killed for his epic. Me and a 50 pally responded to the scene.
I know NK about as well as I know the dark side of the moon, so I invised there. I saw this huge tree Xanussuss or soemthing like that where the druid was near ( he was not KOS ). I got to what I thought was a safe distance and uninvised and made a pet. This tree must have like a 700' aggro range cause I got hit with a 300 damage blast about 9 seconds into my 12 second pet cast. I recovered and the pet went after him. He got haste and I got a DoT lol. He hadnt dented this trees HP when his disappears ( dies ). I then got an Bane of Nife to land on Mr. Firewood. He didnt like that and hit me with a root, and then nuked me for 612 damage. I unfortunately ran into a few druid NPC's as well who started in on me. As my pet was dead I started running as my hp's were about 15% and I had 3 mobs on me. I didnt look back but when I stopped I Immediately got whacked again. Damn druids are sowed too apparently. I rooted them and gated out with about 200 hp left.
This guy didnt summon me, but I really didnt hurt him bad enuf to summon me either. I read hes a level 50 mob, but is MUCH harder than level 52 stuff in Skyfire. Glad I didnt die, as he is for handing in stuff not killing ( I found out later ). The 50 Pally was behind me and never made it to the fight--good thing he would have been dead probably.

This guy pissed me off so much last night...I'm a level 31 DRUID, and he killed me just because a dark elf was in my group. The dark elf zoned, just barely, but i tried to hold him and the Griffenne we were fighting off...I not only died, I lost 31. I don't care what anyone else says, I'm getting my epic, then this guy is going to burn like firewood.

I believe his spawn location is pos 1265 neg 920 or so... run across him there several times... so even if not a spawn point, he commonly frequents there. Hope that helps!

I was just strolling along through NK, with my great invis, SOW, etc.. feeling so safe and secure. It was a beautiful day in Norrath:) BLUE FLAME!!! You have been hit for 700dmg! You are entwined! You have been hit for 60dmg! You have been hit for 60 dmg! You have been slain by Xanuusus! LOADING PLEASE WAIT!!! AAAAAGGGHHH! I'm bound in Kunark. Didn't even see this guy. I'm a 25 DE SK... I shall return for revenge when I grow up...Thats one hell of a tree...BAH!!!

mesa must be ta luckist bard in the land . me didn't know he was trint , thought he was human or halfling cause i once had a halfling that got that quest (never did it ) , didn't even con him and i was right under him withouts even knowing it !

...from most treants. I'm currently hunting North Karana, and in the process have indeed learned that the treants at the druid ring don't like me at all. In fact, they've killed me on more than one occasion, unprovoked.

I'm kos to the treants at the druid ring, and Xanuusus cons me dubiously.

you give this guy your 3 cleansed spirits and elaborate scimitar not the corrupted items. He IS for the druid epic.

the Withered Treant is the Druid epic mob... not Xanuusus. He took my epic items for antonica, so ... starting over now.

Hey all
I am a level 48 wizard and with the help of 3 other wizards and a 47 mage and a pally we killed him twice. He didnt drop anything but respawned real quick and decent exp. the pally died the 2nd time if we had a healer we would have been fine good camp for high level group never seems to be camped if ya like killin treants

While searching almost fruitlessly for reasonable quary I came across a VERY large, moving tree! He said is name was Xanuusus and while quite polite and friendly, would speak no further with me. I plotted his location for further research into this enigmatic living arbol at P1185, P607. I wouldn't imagine a living tree gets around all that much so he very well can be found there on any occasion. The region in question, of course, is N Karana.

Xanuusus is lvl 50, hits for very hard and has a LOT of health, I hit him for 600 dmg, and it looked like it took less than a quarter of a bubble of health. He also hit me for 150 dmg, the first hit he got on me, and he conned me even, at lvl 50. I also only got a DD to stick on him once out of 5 times.

If I ever get up to the lvl where i can kill this guy... He is going to die OVER AND OVER.. He packs a punch for damn sure.
