Wraithguard Lorekeeper Fenegar  

Went in today with Dub faction and followed all dialogs.Got the lost tombs mission.So there ya go.Dont know if they changed this factioning to make it work but i'm liking it.lol

What's the best way to raise faction from threatening to dubious with this guy?

I made the mistake of hunting giants in VH when the expansion first came out and hurt my faction before getting this augment. :(

I did not kill him to confirm it but if you CON Fenegar you con Wraightguard faction, NOT Wraithguard Leadership.

Commander Haesgrin can be conned for Wraithguard Leadership.

i have 3 or the four items listed .. but wont let me recieve the quest ... "the shattered gift" and im even amiably to him .. how do i get it or what do i say

While having Cylindrical Shard of Winter Steel on me i got 'The Shattered Gift' quest along with a bag called Attuned medicine Bag.

First line in quest is:
Find enough of the missing parts of the staff.

The bag is a 10 slot bag.

My faction is Ally btw and Wraithguard Lorekeeper Fenegar is on Wraithguard faction not Wraithguard Leadership.

Whiteflame from Whiteflame in Valdeholm (pit under bridge, lvl 77 wicked AE, does not summon)

Cylindrical Shard of Winter Steel from Barzok the Recluse in Icefall, lvl 75 (3 kobalds in NW corner near wiz spires are PH, does not summon, 4k DD)

Winter Steel Shard from Blueface the Hoard in Icefall, lvl 70 (orcs at top of escarpment on East side above bear lake, 2k AE, no summon)

The Red Flame from Redflame in the Steppes, lvl 70 (wandering fire elemental in middle of zone, no summon)

Obtain quest in Valdeholm from Wraithguard Lorekeeper Fenegar after you have at least one item from the above listed tasks in inventory.


??complete Cragnaw quest in Steppes task "My Pretty" to obtain Fractured Winter Steel Statue of Flame

Wraithguard Lorekeeper Fenegar is at Loc -1535, +1435, +82. To find him, after zoning into valdeholm, cross the bridge and follow the path to the left, (do not enter the double doors ahead of the bridge), go all the way west and follow the ramp up to the next level (north), he is in the first building. All the mobs I saw in that building were on Wraithguard faction, so were not kos, they all conned dubiously and had the wraithguard nametag. Don't forget to check for see invis mobs along the way, did pass one stationary guard. Fenegar see's invis too.

from icefell zonein, go across bridge then all the way west. go up the bank and Lorekeeper is inside first building.

Excuse the semi-dupe post. It looked like I lost my first post.

This guy can't be snared, he's immune to changes in run speed. However I was able to drag him way outside and after evacing I was able to get back to him before he returned to his spawn spot. Sneak DOES "work", i.e. I was able to get my faction /con to indifferent. But when I hailed him from behind as he was strolling back to his spawn point, he gave me the same spiel and did not offer the quest, despite /conning indifferent.

I guess the only way to do this quest is to earn the necessary faction first.

I'm threatening with this guy, probably from having slain some VH giants before I approached him. He sees thru invis. Interestingly, when I hailed him from a distance he didn't immediately attack but did respond with:

I do not have time to speak to you, and any questions you might ask will likely be things that I can not tell you. Please move along."

I decided to see if I could sneak behind him and perhaps move my faction up to dubious and get the quest. But my sneak didn't work on him and when I got close enough he started pounding on me without any more talk.

I am dubious to some other giants in the same general area so there's something wacky about the faction for this guy. But I do suggest if you want to do any quests offered by this guy, get them done before you start hunting in this zone.
