Gives a quest called Ekaterina's Lament

You say "Hail Ekaterina"
Ekaterina says "Oh dry one, why do you bother me in my [misery]?
You say "misery?"
Ekaterina says "My queen, my poor queen. Something is wrong with my poor queen. Why do you even [care] dry one? She is not your queen. My poor queen. She attacks even me, her most faithful servant. What has made my queen so violent?"
You say "I care"
Ekaterina says "It does not matter to me whether you care or not. My poor queen. If you must bother me in my misery, you can [help] me.
You say "I can help"
Ekaterina says "Thank you dry one. Go to her waterfall and take some samples of the water in the area and being it to me."
You have been assigned the task "Ekaterina's Lament"

Go to the waterfall and nose around, and on the rocks at the bottom of the fall, your quest will update and a flask of water will appear on your cursor. Return the flask to Ekaterina and it will update again.

Ekaterina tells you "Oh. I cannot tell. The water seems fine. What could be the problem? If you would like to help me [further] you could explore some of the areas to the north to see if there are other beings that are acting abnormally.

Ekaterina says "Oh thank you. Maybe you do care. But it is not important. All that is important is my queen.

You have been assigned the task "It Can't Be the Queen".

You need to visit three points in the mesa to finish this quest. First is on top of hte mesa at the potameid camp. Second is the minohten camp, third in on the path leading to Sunderock just before you zone. Hail Ekaterina and completion gives the following:

Ekaterina tells you, "Oh dear me. There seems to be no link between what has happened to my poor queen and those others. You must help me, you must! Before I can send you on such a journey, I need you to prove your strength to me. I refuse to send a young one such as you to what may be your untimely death without the reassurance that you [stand a chance] to furhter aid me."

You say "I stand a chance"

Ekaterina says "Prove yourself worthy and you will not regret it."

You have been assigned the task "Find the Cure"

For the Find the Cure quest, you need to kill 4 ring snakes, 4 murkwater oozes and 2 dark widows. Once you have killed all of them, return to Ekaterina and hail her.

Your task "Find the Cure" has been updated.

Ekaterina tells you, "Oh dear, there seems to be no no link between what happened to my poor queen and those others. You must help me and go see Ramona. She is on top of the mesa. Will you [go see Ramona]?

You say, "I will go see Ramona"
Ekaterina says. "Oh thank you. Please do not dally. Go see her right away."

You have been assigned the task "Parts for the Cure"

You say "Hail Ramona"
Ramona says, "Thank you for proving your ability to Ekaterina. We have been seeking a cure for our poor Queen, Nhyalea. I beleive we have found an ancient remedy that speaks of a condition similar to what the Queen has. What I [require] from you for the cure will be difficult.

You say, "what do you require?"

Ramona says, "Collect the parts on this list for me. These will only be on hearty representatives of each species, so it may take you a while to find all of the parts.

Loot one puma paw from a mountain puma (blackfeather roost)
Loot one Mountain recluse venom sac from a mountain recluse (blackfeather roost)
Loot one snake fang from a mountain snake (blackfeather roost)

Once you loot the pieces, take them back to the mesa and give to Ramona. After you give them over, hail her.

Ramona says, "You've done very well, Laurelai. This should do the trick! Quickly, take this to Ekatarina."

A Potent Antidote appears on your cursor. Deliver it to Ekatarina.

Ekatarina tells you, "Oh this is great! We can cure her! Thank you dry one. I am not able to survive her guards myself. If you are willing to see this to the end, are you willing to [deliver] the cure?

Your faction standing with the Minohten got better!
Your faction standing with the Nymphs of Darkwater got worse!
You gain experience!!

You say, "I will deliver it"

Ekatarerina says, "Thank you! Time is short. You must go now"

The potent antidote appears on your cursor again.

You have been assigned the task 'Tunare Save the Queen'

Deliver the antidote to Queen

Queen Nhyalae says' "Oh dear me. Ekatarina sent you with this. I will drink it because it looks divine. See no change. How silly of that poor girl. To think this was not my choice. Of course I chose to be this way. All those simpering peons. And the silly frollicking in the mist. And worshipping Tunare. Tunare is weak. She allowed Solusek Ro to raise the land. She should have smote him where he stood. And you dry ones, the way you stumble about, the way you ruin everything. Die dry one!"

Kill Queen Nhyalae.

Your faction standing with the Minohten got better!
Your faction standing with the Nymphs of Darkwater got worse!
You gain experience!!

Queen Nhyalae's corpse falls lightly from the sky and perishes.

Return to Ekaterina and hail her.

Ekaterina tells you, "Oh no. It cannot be. How horrible. It cannot be true. My poor queen. Here, take this, I do not need it anymore. Leave me dry one. How horrible!"
