He respawns fairly quickly, so you can easily farm him for plat. His ring that he always drops (afaik he always drops it) sells for 476p.

I just boxed him with my 59 Bst and 65 druid with tank and cleric merc. i pulled the roaming gaurd as it passed by captain and was able to pull captain and only 2 of the gaurds. I took out the gaurds rather quickly, as far as the captain himself, well i stuck my bst pet on it and partially slowed and incapaciated him and threw 4 DoTs from druid on him, druid has 250 +AAs along with the DoT Crit AA. I had to back up the Merc healer on the tank as he rampages and Merc couldnt keep up some times. But overall was a rather easy fight. Took maybe 5 Minutes.

Mana blazed him for 36,000 and he was at 46% so he has 66,667 hitpoints. Had to Exodus as 2k mana left wouldn't do it against him and his 4 flunkies (the royal guards are easily one shot with Ether Flame).

killed him and his gaurds as a solo cleric,
put ward of reprisal on and pulled him and his guards
i then used my 3 da's as reprisal still hits mobs even with da up
for 660 or 1485 with a crit,
by the time i used 3 da's (54 secs) all the guards were dead
i then ds of 51 and reverve damage shields for 88
and recast reprisal
all i did was self heal till he died

Killed this guy last night on like our 3rd attempt. Was me (71 Mage), Wife (71 Cleric), and boxed 59 Necro. First time we rooted 2 of the guards and had pet tank Captain while mage nuked the guards dead. Guards only have about 10-12k hp's and dropped pretty quick. We killed the two guards but Cleric ran out of mana and Captain was still at 50 life. Pet died, followed by the rest of us. Next attempt used Necro to pull them all down the ramp and then FD'd. Captain came back first so we got him single, but then the stupid dusty mummy added us. Another wipe. The third time we used the same tactic, except made sure to pull him way down the side where we wouldn't get agro. Mage pet tanked (71 focused air pet), had conviction and 71 pet gear(armor + focus gear), roughly 14k hp's I believe. Cleric started with a HoT then chained CH's and got a few luckily exceptional heals which made all the difference in the end. I had to throw a few spot heals in but other then that just burned him down. Necro didn't do anything but send his pet in. He enrages at 9% life and in doing so killed Necro's pet, Mage's pet, then summoned Necro and killed him, then came running at me. Luckily I was already in the process of nukeing. Got a Crit and he was dead. Sadly though Necro didn't get credit for the kill and Cleric forgot to hand in the Royal Crest so task expired, so we have to do it all again. None of us are uber, Mage has just over 7k mana with just self buffs 125AA's, Cleric has a little under 7k mana self buffed and like 50AA's. If we would have known he enrages (it's not listed on here anywhere I noticed) I could have pulled Necro pet off so he wouldn't have died, and then if mage pet still died he would have went on Necro pet next, which would have been enough time for me to get that last nuke off. Oh well now we know for next time.

Tonight we had no problems splitting captain with our pet monky. Group stayed up on the edge of the ledge off to the side of captain, and our monk went down the center a little, and pulled the whole group of guards and captain away from us. After FD, the guards pathed back at different times and there was never a problem tagging one singly to haul in to group. 75 ranger tanked, nothing special, Guards were cake, but took a bit of healing to keep him on the captain.

Edit: Captain is immune to mez and changes in runspeed. The one or two times I tried mezzing Guards got immune messages, but I heard they can be snared.

We just killed him today, to complete the access to kill the queen.

74 Zerker (Spum) tanked him. The rest of the group was: 73Shm, 72Cl, 71Cl, 68Shm, and 65sk. Was doable, but only barely. SK had a bad day with FD fails here too, 2 out of 3 fD's resulted in death. So that didn't help much. Anyhow our group is not Uber. We each have a piece or too of powered-up TSS tier2 gear, and the rest of our gear a notch or two below that. It was a good fight. One cleric chained CH, and the other threw spot heals, and the shammy chained HoT. Hardest hit on me was 1124 (preTss max avoidance, and +55worn avoidance, and 25% mitigation). Most landed in the 600-900range. Partially slowable.

We could not seem to get the captain alone. We always had at least 1 Royal guard on him. We did him, but didn't get the one shaman battle rezzed in time for the kill to count on him and had to do him again. Captain repopped in just a few minutes. . . with 1 royal (twin-repop). The tactic that seemed to work the best was split and pull cap'n and 1 royal, and all on captain. Got both slowed, then had shammies dot the royal, and got back on captain until it was dead.

Soloed him and guards, at first I tried just clearing the trash around him, and kiting him and the guards. First round I nuked him, which is a mistake because he summons, so I just evaced and went back again.

Next round I pulled all his guards and him, and just used instant nukes to kill the guards off one by one, most of them were able to kill with just one nuke, so they have around like 12k hp a piece. Once they were all dead I ran back to Griffon nest to zone back down and get out of range. I hit my patient harvest to get some mana and went back up quick because the guards respawn real fast.

I used my lower Call of Xull to attack him then went in with instant nukes kiting him around to avoid getting hit to much. I only took hits when I was summoned into him and just continued kiting him till he was dead, looted the crest and a all/all wrist item.

im a lvl 75 wizard 686 aa 11k hp buffed. But I only killed him with my own self buffs.

What part of that says he buffed himself to 11k? His eqplayers profile matches up pretty good with what he stated, with all class raid buffs he'd get up to 11k easily. He never stated that his self buffs got him to 11k.

Kill him last night while exploring the zone (was actually a task to kill him). Started off killing him then picking off the guards, he respawned back pretty quickly. The 2nd attempt was not quite as good, If i recall right, the 1st time he hit for mid 900's, 2nd time max hit i got was 1229. My druid partner got aggro from an adder and well, he died and i FD'd.

Got the ring on the first kill :)
