Drones are melee mob, punch and bash combo. They do not run at low health. The Bixie Laborers are melee as well, but run and run away fast :)

This quest is pretty dang hard. The problem I am having is getting these things spawned. Mainly because the Gardeners are underconned. These mobs do not hit hard, but the amount of healing they can do to themselves in insane. These con Dark blue to me, which I rip apart all dark blue mobs except for casters. Getting these to spawn is a bitch. I suggest killing all the laborers you can instead of trying the gardeners.
