-786 -1915. Was just standing there waiting for me to kill it.
I have killed everything in the area with my 56 druid doing massive aoe dam for about 2 hours, but I cant seem to get it to spawn for my level 13 drakkin Ranger. I have also spent several hours on my ranger trying to get her to spawn but no luck =(.

I was doing this quest for my Drakin Necro, and I spent a few hours trying to get it to pop, but nothing. I got impatient and brought in my 55 ranger to track it in case it just wondered off somewhere and i was just spinning my wheels. I didn't see it when I tracked so I decided to find her. I just stood about 1/2 way between the mushroom cave opening and the stream and just started DOTing (was kind of funny watching all these little mobs running towards me and dying on the way) anything that was close to the front of the cave and I kept checking track incase I got the spawn point wrong from the post. It took about 3 min and she popped right in front of me I rooted her log out and brought my necro back and finished her off. I can’t say what the place holder was but I did see where she popped, I didn't get the loc sorry

as a Drakkin..what is it i turn in to the mother dragon after killing the widow?
I was ooc'ing to let people know I was looking for her, and this guy totally helped me out. He said Just kill the 3 closest mobs to the 2nd cave, and she'll spawn. We killed for maybe 2 minutes tops and bam she spawned. We killed the flyers on topof the rocks, some cubs a puma, maybe 8 things but it was right outside and a little south-ish to the 2nd cave.
This totally worked for me ... took maybe 5 minutes

its just coincidence that she spawns after killing those mobs. its more like she will spawn after killing any mob, which frees up a slot for her to spawn. was klling nokks and zombies on the far side of the zone, and she popped up from one of the spawn points over there, and wandered right over to our camp spot. she doesnt just show up in the drake/puma area.
this mob is such a p.i.t.a. though, at least on my server. there are so many people either botting or pl'ing their characters or just randomly running through killing and looting anything that looks like a named, that im finding it almost impossible to catch a glimpse of this mob before its killed. ive never seen a drak. toon doing the killing, its always some other race that doesnt need. /shrug

Definitely don't have to clear area any number of times. I was the only one killing and spawned her after less than 10 pumas/drakes.

The Hollow Widow spawns around /loc -740,-2170. Just kill all drake and pumas in that immediate area that are on the ground and on the rocks. It will spawn shortly. I got it to spawn twice in less than 10 minutes. And she will wander after she spawns.

went to do this today and killed the 3 mobs spoken of by spore cave, and had unamed sporling mobs spawn at cave entrance.... PH or just radomness? any help's appreciated

I can confirm this as well. After reading the last post about there being a placeholder I also killed all the mobs on and around the rocks and the wall west of the shroom caves and the widow spawned in the field just in front of the shroom caves.
I brought another Drakkin char in to do the quest and it took only 2 clearings of those mobs to get the widow to spawn.

Can someone check again how to make her spawn. I have camped the whole area on several different toons for about three days now, clearing each part south of the farm, and Nothing....
Ok so I just got done talking to a GM, and they strongly hinted at a place holder for the widow...I believe that it is the Puma, and/or the hollows drake sitting near the rocks, just west of the sporeling cave. Gonna try to confirm, but who knows

Kill the three mobs against the wall ( just west of shroom cave) should be a drake on the rocks, a puma and a drake on the ground. *BAM* The mob popped!!!

This worked for me, but she does wander. I found her on the wall to the right of the Puma cave.

Confirmed 22Feb2010. Spawned at /loc (-686,-2110) after clearing in front of cave.
Dead Rogues do Pally DPS.
Mob can spawn randomly anywhere in the field past the first bridge, kill lots of stuff or train the mobs to the guard, eventually it will spawn. The mobs respawn fast so its not real bad, but it took me about 4 full clearings before it spawned.

I will concurr with tradesman, the only way I got the Hollows Widow to spawn was clearing the area repeatedly until she popped. However I cleared mainly around the sporeling caves and west of that. Sure enough as others had noticed the Widow popped around there. For me it was west from the cave entrance behing the largest rock in the area.

This is not correct, killed Canyon Queen twice earlier and the Hollows Widow didn't spawn either time. Also the Canyon Queen spawn is triggered by the quest for it, not any ph.

Also needed for green breath quest (and have heard is needed for all of them). Note, a long spawn time so it is hard to get the kill... Tends to spawn near the entry to the spore cave (southern most of the four caves off the Hollows) and then wander about the area of the bear cubs, hollows drakes, etc. until killed...

She is in the field to the left of the entrance area - the part that is bordered on three sides by the river. Seems to be a random spawn in the area. Has a very nasty poison attack for her level.
She is required for the first breath weapon quest - definitely for the bloodline of Atathus the Red Lord, and based on other comments I've heard for at least one other bloodline as well, if not all of them.

Correct - also required for the Black breath weapon. Was yellow to level 4 when I encountered it, a passing lvl10 was happy to help me whack it, took about 10 seconds.

Found her today in the middle of the field in the Hollows where the bears and puma are. Part of a quest for Draton Ra.
