He's as weak as any other NPC bard. Someone of an equal level to him, with their fighting and defensive skills maxed, can take him down with ease.

My 25MNK took him down without losing more than 20% of his HP (I was below 80% when he died, but I'd also taken dmg from upsetting four guards a few minutes before).

[i] currently spending time killing him with my level 22 magician Dark Elf. I use my Earth pet with burnout and the Fire Shield. Send in my pet and let him tag him for a short time before I begin casting my level 20 DD spell . Currently he cons Red and Dubious to me... I have killed him about 12 times with one mishap, and that is only because I changed pets. Okay EXP but my pet takes most the xp cause hes tanking him My DD spell does 150 every cast . about six casts of 150 from me the rest is pet done.

instead of war stories what quest is he for?

Kill him at 33 with my shammy. TOO EASY!

as a level 23 necro almost 24 thanks to travis he is very easy to take down. i have killed him about 20 timews now always con's yellow to me.

Yous people are funny. Bards no fight. Me was once little ogre, now BIG OGRE but that no matter still squishy bard. Bard for eating muhbe sitting on. . . BUT THAT ALL!

My 31 SK was wandering by Nektulous in boredom, one of those auctioning days in EC.
I had to grab some food and drinnk at Neriak (only place around when I can buy some, been a bad boy) and I met Travis...
I rememberer when I was a newbie DE necro and this guy made me scared... now I was a shadowknight and much more experienced player and he was conning blue.
I landed darkness and blood boil on him and ran to zone (who knows sometimes NPCs are so hard) but when he finaly showed up at zone, I laughed big time cause he was already half of his HP bar !
After I drained is atk str and ac, he was just hitting for like 3, sometimes 15.
I killed him like 4 times but quitted doing so when I thought I had troubles already in a lot of cities and didn't want to pull a train of bards everytime I cross a city zone...

been killing this guy with my necro since 24th lvl.

Travis will then charge you but will be too weak to kill you. Continue casting either Shock of Poison or Siphon Life and you should be able to finish him off. My pet has died once whiel killing him and I'm 27th lvl now still killing him. He gave nearly a whole blue bubble of experience at 24 and half one now at 27.

He pops around 20 minutes after you kill him so it is a long spawn.

I killed this guy the other day, and he hits like a wuss, 1-48 dmg is the most he hit me for, whiffed most of the time. i have a slow attack and no haste so attacking this loser is slow work, he has about 500-700hp, and if u really want to lose faction with humans and the ppl in the commons, by all means, kill him! he quest is only good for n00bs (and it SUCKS) so i thought it was high time to dust this guy after being to the lake of ill omen. at 26 i soloed his buttox for little or no work and had half my hp left.

I dont believe a group of lvl 7's killed him he would resist every spell u through at him even at lvl 28 he resist some

Dont think this guy has any MR at all :) Root DoT DD Dead... Im level 26 shammy and he is one of the easyest I've ever kited

For the most part this guy is pretty easy. Can be a little tricky at times but the zone is close it shouldn't be a problem.
I am a 20 mage (non twinked). He can be soloed pretty easily. I use my 20 lvl air pet. Cast damage shield on both pet and myself. Then pull him in with Bolt of Flame (20 lvl DD). Send pet to him and after that just keep nuking with Bolt of Flame until he is dead. Taking a bit of damage to keep your pet alive is kind of a must. But there is enough room here to just run around a bit or just let him hit you a few times and back off a bit. By then pet usually has taunt back and he will stay with pet allowing you to back off and DD again.
This is rather simple to do. The only problem i run into is him occasionally resisting my DD so it does not do full damage causing me to run OOM before he is dead. When this happens just zone and come back to get him later. At 20 your pet is not really good for much more than a damage shield and to finish the job when Travis is low HP.
Travis hits for a max of about 52 and can double attack, though he seldom does. He gives good exp but has a spawn time of 20 minutes. Plenty of time to meditate and heal. (Not to mention mage's can summon bandages so going below 50% health during the fight is not really a big deal)
Just thought i would throw this out for any Mage's interest. Obviously he would be easier for necros (wish i had darkness + fear) but it can be done by a Mage at the same level. :)

Does lowering faction with Knights of Truth affect travelling through EC, WC, N Ro, E Freeport or W Freeport? I'm assuming it doesn't, and only affects N Freeport, but just want to check so I don't have big 5 zone KoS area I have to get across each time I want to go to Neriak (I'm DE Necro).

He is rather easy for necros. I fought him around level 25, so I will only be able to say my strategy but necros should be able to do it either way at 20 just with a little more tactics and not with my spells.

First off, I called up my best pet. I Intensify Death'ed it, just for the heck of it as it was my first fight with the guy and I wanted to be sure. I would later learn this was un-necessary. Anyway, I sent in the pet first, and as he was running to Travis, I cast a Darkness line. I administered Heart Flutter, then one Life draining spell. I took about five seconds before casting up Fear. All spells stuck pretty well on him, and I just Shock of Poisoned him to death. It was easy.

Of course, SoP is a strong spell for us Necromancers, but for those of you who do not have it and are about level 20, I suggest the following. Summon up your best pet. Remember, the Skeleton Ruins are nearby so you can just get more chips there. Set your pet to guard by him and have a quick look around to make sure there's nothing nearby that may join in when you cast Fear.

Alright. Time to start buffing. Cast on yourself Shielding, Shieldskin, and Spirit Armor. Yes all three. Take a few moments to meditate your mana. At this level you will need it. I personally would start with Heart Flutter as I send in my pet. Why? Because at this level, you don't want him nearby so you are setting in your pet and you want it to survive, so this will help even it a bit. Now, Darkness him and apply Fear. If he resists three times, I suggest stepping in, letting yourself take a few hits and then step back, Siphon, and repeat. Hopefully this will work for you all. Good luck!

I have a lvl 13 twinked chanter and two of my guild mates all so twinked (one a warrior in bronze, the other a cleric also in bronze. With the weapons to go with) the only two spells not to bounce off were tshan and choke. The only reason we didn't go splat were the fact that the zone was right there. and the warrior had big brass b@lls and ran last, after the cleric healed her heart out. So i grovel at the feet of the fictional lvl 7 party that did that with out a fungi tunic or an lvl 30 chanter in their pocket..

I soloed this punk! I am A level 25 Iksar Monk. Bard-boy conned even and hostile to me. I lost about 1 bub of health and absolutely destroyed him. He was easy.

If your a nec like me i was able to kick his butt at lev 20 easy. Try it heck zone is just a few steps away and u can pull him closer to the zone just in case or if your scared just hit him with vortex, siphon strength and heart flutter after sending pet first so the pet is agroed the most. Then hit with englufing darkness and fear 2 times and hes dead spawn is 21 mins so use all your mana to make sure your safe from harms way. And dont worry about being mana less zone is right there not to mention pet can solo anything that might attack you out of the blue. Travis will not agro for like 6 kills so sit as close as you like.

i have hunted him for xp for a long time at lev 30 and i must say if a group of 5 through 7's took him out even when he was half way i have to say kudos but one must ask how many were left standing because depending on the day MR.TWO TONE could knock me down half way on my hit point bar so that says he can deal the pain at the highest hit i have ever recieved from him was 88 points of damage that stung. 88 points out of 1255 is not much but 627 points out of 1255 is alot so how many of you guess did die

ok i camped terrissa whistle song at lvl 12 to lvl 19 in west fp so its like this guy is a upgrade to her ok if u a necor all u do i cast leach snd pet in heart flutter heat blood and then sipon his ass ull kill him preety fast and get lvl 21 quick im curently a DE lvl 20 necro on cazic thule server if im in neckturlos give me a tell and ill show u but ill proly b in my 30s when u read this well just my 2 copper or 2 p that i got from him hehehehehe

Even if that group of lvl 7's did get a few spells off this guy still hits for 30-50 damage, so how could they be taking that kind of beating? A warrior at lvl 3 might have around 100-130hp, but thats not enough to kill this guy at half hp considering you're not gonna be hitting him too much.

His spawn time is exactly 21 minutes. Which is an eternity...nice xp tho and he's rarely camped so that's a plus for primetime.

My group was killing dark elf guards in a group recently, and they pulled this guy, they didnt kno what faction it was, so we killed him. I am a bard, so how badly will this decrease my faction with bards?
