He wasted my lvl 9 necro in 6 hits, he rooted me, then casted a bunch of spells. I think hes a higher lvl than 9.

Southmost is the Hafling Huts. Avoid the Shadow Men encapmpent as they are Death On Wheels. Once there, you can expect a steady stream of up to 3 of the pesky runts at a time around 8-11th level. Only thing that will break up this party is that pesky Leatherfoot Deputy. He's been 30th the last few times but he does spawn in a lesser form. Run. Don't con him. Run. He's way above the ones you're currently hunting for XP and he'll resist EVERYTHING you can possibly throw at him. [ Anything 10+ levels above you is nigh usesless to cast on.]
