1) This fella is a corpse spawn from any regular golems (mist, haze, fog). In other words, you kill a golem and he comes charging in from his imaginary spawn point and starts whacking you. I have had the misfortune of having him pop after two consecutive kills when I wasn't particularly ready. I HAVE had him add in a fight well prior to my target golem's death, very strange and disturbing, may be a bug particular to that spawn point.
2) Golem Essence Necklace is rare drop, Spaulders are common. Spaulders are worth little in baz, tribute for 400 or 600 points though. Necklaces starting to saturate market a bit , but still sell in the 2-4K range on my server
