Well first time I camped this, it was about 13 hours til I saw my jote. Today I went back for another, took me 3hrs to see him and his aug, then he pop again 22 minutes later with another jote! Wacky RNG.

where is he at? i posted ur loc and not seeing it on my map...is he in normal? or instanced version?
I find it fascinating that most people plan their vacations with better care than they do their lives. Perhaps that is because escape is easier than change...If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary -Mepha
ok I've been camping this guy for like 10 hours STRAIGHT now. I've gone through 25 PH's and FINALLY got named to pop. But he dropped WRONG AUG!!! This has got to be one of the WORST camps ever. For the first 6 hours or so I was clearing majority of the mobs in the north half of inner area, but finally got tired of that so just started timeing the PH and killing nothing but him. This aug had better be worth it!

Ok after 13 hours STRAIGHT camping this guy, 33 spawn cycles, 1 named, wrong aug. Then I noticed a bunch of kobolds showing up on track, went to investigate and they were in south end attacking the raid mob, not lasting long either. Been going on for about an hour now. PH kept spawning on his 22 min spawn cycle for 2 more spawns after first noticing the Kobolds, then he just quit spawning. He's currently 16 min late. No one in Devastation and no one in Rage but me. I'd really like to know what triggered this or is this somthing that happens randomly? And also how long till my PH/Named will start spawning again? It's after 2am my time and I was DETERMINED to get this aug tonight. This change of events kinda screwed that up real quick. Any info on how I can avoid this tomorrow (if PH/Named back up) is greatly appreciated.

After camping him for 8 hours straight today, he finally spawned after 15 PH's, and dropped my aug!!! 21 hours total camping him, it had better be worth it!

Going to start camping this now, spent an hour or two here yesterday before I couldn't take the boredom anymore lol.
Hands down one of the worst time sinks Ive ever attempted. whats even worse is I have seen the named spawn 2 times(having camped it for at least 30 hours now) both times it dropped the poisen dammage aug (Ive been trying to get the rune). The only worse camp Ive ever experianced is the Earth illusion from PoE (over 36 hours and countless named, but no rare)
Aside from that what makes this camp HORRIBLE is that durring and or right after a change in power of the zone(ie from Eyes to Orcs, or any other combo)
if the PH is down before the change ordone anytime near when the change happens, the named will not respawn. If your lucky it might respawn hours later, if not it may take days and/or change in power and/or server reset to fix it.

Have spent 14+ hours in this zone killing the names and PHes as they spawn. so far no rune or AC aug for my SK :( All I have is a lot of worthless augs off the other names

Could a 77 Ranger with 13K HP and 2K AC unbuffed with a J1 Merc solo Here? I got Light Of The Forest and Sergants Longsword Duel wielding so I have nice DPS?

After 20 total hours and 3 different types of creatures controlling the zone I finally got him. Got Steeledge Stone, so have to keep camping wanted Jade of the Ether. His max hit on me a lvl 79 SK with 11 shielding and rank 18 combat stability was 1521. Most his hits were half that, he was dead before I knew it cause I HT'ed and threw my Chattering Bones pets at him. Duo'ed the camp with my cleric merc.
Location for people wondering: 176, 40
Placeholder is: a savage fury (can be any model, seen all kinds of them)
Timer: about 22 minutes is the respawn.
Oh and the goblins were up when he finally did show up, and it only took an hour from when i started camping with goblins up. So I don't think it matters who is in control.

He will not spawn when Goblin mobs are in power of the zone camped a alt in zone all day no spawn of ph or him.
I'm trying to confirm this now, I'm camping him, goblins are up. I will be here all night so if I don't see him I will post. If anyone has got him to spawn while the goblins have been up please let us know.
Ok, I just killed him and I can confirm that he DOES spawn while the goblins are up. He is just EXTREMELY rare. Took me 11 hours straight killing the PH to get him to pop (spent like 5 or 6 hours another time) and he dropped the Jade! This camp blows, I feel lucky getting this with 16 hours or so put in. Expect to spend at least that.
79 Pal, 3900ac/20k hp selfbuffed at the time. Just chill at the Razorthorn door. He or ph both spawn at the bottom of the ramp on the left every 22min.
Many days parked out/many PHs cleared. 1st named kill for me yielded the Jade Ether. Didnt seem a whole lot tougher than the PHs, maybe bring a healer if in doubt.

Was an easy solo at 75 too.
But then, that was 75 sk, with 4300ish ac, 18kish hp buffed.
If you want to make it easier, let one of the nearby mobs agro it. They fight, and when Soulfury gets low, kill the other mob. Let soulfury get above 50% and kill it.

Keep in mind this doesn't work when the Bolvirk's are up, as they will kick the snot out of the named and KS you.

Was in this zone all morning killing ph while spiders were in control.I got bored and took off for a couple hours and when i come back eyes had taken over.So i settle into my camp spot after clearing in with my group and do not see a ph so assume it was killed by wandering mobs.After 20 minutes group takes off and I wait for another 60 minutes,but still no pop.

I have been camping this for about 4 to 5 hours a day for the last 2 weeks. I have seen the guy once, he dropped the 2h aug, grrrr. During the camp for this I have noticed on 2 or 3 occasions, right after new faction takes over, that the ph mob stops spawning. I have sat and watched it for 4 to 5 hours and the ph never repopped. This will be one camp I will be glad to be done with, very stupid spawn rate.

Camped this guy for 18 hours before he finally showed up. Be prepared for a little patience if you go after him.
Use the previous PH corpse as a timer for the next PH spawn. Con the PH corpse for a rot timer- sometime between 9:00 and 8:00 before corpse decay, the next PH will pop. You can use this to pace your other pulls in the area, and ensure that anything hostile to the named is already dead.

He and his placeholders are on a different faction then whoever's got the zone, so he (and his placeholders) can be pulled singly quite easily no matter who's bunched up around him.
When he spawns, tho, the opposing faction issue kicks in (it doesn't with the placeholders) and surrounding mobs attack him. So unless you're keeping the surrounding area clear (northside of castle structure in center of zone, by instanced zoneline) he doesn't live long.
As with any mobs in this zone that are fighting each other, if you engage the winner at low health, you don't get xp/loot. So help him to win, then let him regenerate before you engage.
Still incredibly rare to spawn, I've spent weeks in the area, seen him 2x.

This guy is on Furies of the north faction, here's the faction messages I got when I killed him:

Max hit seems to be at least 1161. He is lvl 75, barb male. He enrages. Since he is on Furies of the North faction, he will aggro the nearby mobs or they will aggro him. If he fights just the static mob next to him, he will usually win since he'll enrage, but if the roamers are near he prob would die. He seems to be super rare because there are so many PH's. It's random which race the PH is (a savage fury), so I really think each race counts as a different ph.

Loc? Max hit? Slowable? rootable? Resistant? any help please :)
Got lucky today and got him to pop after 2 placeholders for my baby warrior. Dropped Jade on the first kill (I know I hate me too :-p ) I did want to respond to this post from a couple years though. I was able to partially slow him with my Truncheon of Doom if that helps future campers.

Been camping this guy for last few weeks or so. Imma save some of the peep who havent camped him a lil trouble perhaps.
Its a long camp to get him to spawn unless you are lucky, I had at least 18 hours into this guy (at about 4-5 hours a night) with no named to spawn.
When he did spawn first time he started fighting with the mob at the bottem of the ramp. I let em have it out and pulled classic mistake of attackign when the othe rmob was dead and named was low on hp. Yeah 4 years of playing and still do stupid things like that. Mob poofed when I killled it and no chance to loot it.
Mob was not lvl 73 like it says here , Mob was a white evan con to me at 75. Next time I came I bought along my wifes 72 cleric to keep me alive as I figured at 75 id have lil or no chance. I got over 900 aa and some anguish gear. I go for ac as all SK should so fully buffed im only at around 16700 hp with 3400 ac , Im not great but Im not the worst. Im just glad I had a cleric along as I seriously doubt I coulda solod that.
Just kill the ph , the soul fury next to the ramp. The mob beside it wont help it when you pull. When named does pop that mob will attack it. Let them fight it out. Named will win. Let named regen. I let it get to 100% , perhaps you can still loot it if you pull it at 51% but I didnt want to take a chance this time.

Any loc or info on where this spawns or PH? or if it is only up during a certin mob cycle. like kobolds or undead or whatever?
