No need for tactics, Mooto is an easy kill, and a fun one at that.
I'm running along killing his family, you know, minding my own buisness, and suddenly the @$$ pops and nails me. I come back and I see him chasing some low level newbie, he runs to the guards, Gobys are stupid, and gets whacked.
C'mon, just blast him and run in, it's not rocket science.

no don't do that. 2 people at level 8 can kill him. just kite them root and nuke to 00m. he will cast spells so have 1 person cast right when he starts to. best to use fast casting spells that do good damage like ignite.

Must be a weaker version. That or he is tired from buffing those Gobbo Guards. ;-)

Mooto is a little pansy who's a walk in the park to kill. You just need to be any class and any race above level 9. His Drowsy spell is manageable, and his poor abilities in Frost Rift leave much to be desired. Help out the newbies and yourself by killing this cretin. He's easy and gives good exp and faction(good if your attacked by Mangler). He drops the Runnyeye Warbeads too, for your Sheriff quest, and his other loot isn't too shabby. Just my 2 cp

hehe. i had a druid that was like lvl 5 at the time, and he got his ars whooped so many times by this son of a gun, that when i was wondering around misty thicket for fun (lvl 17 warrior at the time) someone who was soloing the gob camp 1 shouted that mooto was on the move, so i decided to test my skills against him since all the times i conned him with my druid he was red. hehe i came over he did about 20 damage total spells and hits then i beat his brains inside out! hahahahahahahahahah! revenge is so sweet isnt it... oh yea i let the lil low lvl guys loot him i dont really care what he dropps kunark dropps better stuff.

I've killed him 4 times in the last 2 hours. So at least once every 30min. Probably more often though.

As a halfling druid I've killed Mooto a few times now and he gives the following changes:-
StormReapers, GuardiansoftheVale, StormGuard got better, ClanRunnyEye worse. No change to StoneHive Bixies at all (and the little gits still swarm me whenever they see me).

Well, I went to go solo him, and I got attacked by Young Kodiak first, and then Mooto showed up and killed me. I came back, got my body, and he showed up again, same spawn that killed me, so I killed him then. He dropped his rare drop, the clay totem. Cool:-)

If you ask me a enchanter with him could do some funny things. Like scaring newbies and if you ever get in a duel you will freak them out with him as a pet. Any way he would make a great charm pet and could kill just about any other goblin in the zone.

i've killed mooto like 10 times any he only dopped the totoms twice the rest are like beads some shattered some war but the frac i think don't go that high and mooto's lv range is about 9-10 still farly easy to kill

This li'l bugger is quite useful if you are questing for the squad rings, he seems to give you about 20 x the experience a normal gob would give...

Mooto gives faction the way other gobs do in Misty, but it's been said that killing him gives you a serious boost with the Guardians (warrior guild).

Mooto Drops Warbeads (sherriff Quest), a Clay Totem (+5 HP) and a Wooden Totem (+5 Mana). Not very good totems, but none the less good loot (1.5pp each). He also drops the assorted cloth armor

He is more like lvl's 8-10, but fights like a lvl 4 shaman spell wise, max hits for 22hp. Easy fight because he is normally casting spells instead of hitting. Oh no, not drowsy! hehehe

At level 9, he always conned white or yellow. That was just two nights ago.
Mooto spawns at the goblin camp on the south zone wall. He is easy to solo if his croanies are not there to help. So if you camp his spawn and the other goblins still attack you, make sure you break the spawn prior to Mooto showing up.
Mooto attacks with a the normal low level shaman spells, Drowsy, Frost Rift, Sicken, and Poison. The deadliest by far is Poison if you are trying to solo him. Just do a mana dump on him to kill him quickly. No need to snare when he cons yellow since he won't run.
Good exp when level 9 and soloing him.

good trick for soloing him as a 10th+ level rogue...kite & kill off goblin guards, go into spawn hut, go invisible, and backstab him when he spawns. while fighting him-when he begins to cast, use backstab to interrupt spell. watch out for goblin alchemist who spawns in same place but is much more dangerous. happy hunting!
