Oddly, the werewolves with whom they share spawn spots in front of the piano don't drop werewolf talons, or they're rare drops, but I've never seen them. But the gypsies tend to drop the werewolf talons about 1 in 5 kills.
The gypsy musician is now located in Lesser Faydark, in an old orc campground at location -209 x -575.
When I was there, the camp held 2 gypsy musicians, 1 gypsy dancer, 1 gypsy ambassador and Mynthi Davissi. All conned dark blue to my 41 Bard. The first gypsy musician that I killed dropped the Gypsy Lute. --- Brothanold Evensong 41 Bard, Lanys T'Vyl
This is a bad post. I camped there for over an hour and not one Gypsy. I did however go to mistmoore castle and found the Gypsie musicians in the gypsy room.
Just got the drop Power of Wind in Mistmoore off a Gypsy Dancer located in the ballroom by the piano.Seems mobs shifted back to Mistmoore after looking for them in Lfay for 30 minutes=/
WHY oh WHY.. does this post say the Gypsies are in LFEY.. and all the posts bang on about MM !!! Since DoN MM id DB to my 67 Mage.... OMG how am i gonna solo that !! Any ideas on where to get this Power from? Thanks
Just a warning: I had made my way in through the front to pick up a Lute for my bard, walking in to the ballroom. I noticed a musician with a lute, and targetted her, planning how to pull her out. Then, when the clock struck 6 a.m., she despawned. She re-appeared about ten seconds later, but was not holding the lute! Just a little warning - watch the time, because you don't want to lose you prize to time constraints.
I'm a level 53 Shaman, I summoned a pet and buffed up with my eye set on the Gypsy musician. I headed thru the G.Y. not knowing where she spawned (it seemed easier then going thru front door). We encounter numerous mobs on the way to GY, my pet and I easily handled them with out using any mana. Did not need to cast until I was inside castle and entered a room with 2 Gargoyles. We handle them with ease. Well we made our way to the Piano room where a Deathly Usher and a glyphed mob agroed us, then 3 gargoyles came in thru the door to add a little excitment to the battle. We took out the Usher first then my pet died, having only 2 bub's of health left I tried to run for it......... LOADING PLEASE WAIT............ You have entered the Nexus.
I sudgest that you be a mage and have a pet that will destroy anything, or bring a friend or two.
A full group of 40's will not have a problem owning the castle.... as long as you dont move to fast. I had plenty of time to med up and get to full health before any thing started repopping.
I didn't make it to the musician, but I'm comin back with a friend or two to get some much needed pay back !
Shamer Windsong 53 Shaman of the Tribunal Terra Aeternum Brell Server
Aye. Moving slowly is key here. We had a full group consisting of a 40th Paladin, 39th Ranger, 35th ranger, 39th Shaman, 41st Bard and 43rd cleric and had no trouble getting into the entry hall where we set up camp. I was the paladin and was able to soothe/pull just about everything from the front of the upstairs and downstairs areas including the ballroom. Even with soothe, we did get a couple of huge pulls sometimes consisting of 7-8 mobs but with an average level of 40 we were never in any real danger. It definately made the evening fun and interesting. Much better than the boring pulls we had been doing in The Dreadlands and decent xps for us to boot (about on average with DL).
I would say the single most important class to have in your group is a good cleric who can manage agro and watch everyones health. Also having someone who can pull with a soothe is useful.
Easily spanked the entire group with dazzle and my 49 pet. 54 Enchantress, never dipped below 60% mana or health. (Though my pet got low on health once or twice)

Given the massive nature of the zone we are talking about here, I doubt very much that I could go in at 25-30 and grab one. Can anyone tell me what would be the earliest lev and how much back up I would need to do it? My War is now lev 24 so I know I have some time. The last time I was in there was with my Wizard at lev 30 and we had a full group between 30-34 and got our butts handed to us. Also is there a better or compareable BP that can be gotten easier at the same lev? Thanks for any help you can offer.
You may want to get a Netherbian Chitin. 20AC 2Str 10svFire 6wt. https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=7098 Drops in Netherbian Liar off the Swarm Leader. Just kill all the Netherbians, he will spawn from time to time (about every 2 hours?).
OK levels 25-32 dont even think about trying the crafted BP quest in Mistmoore without some serious back-up! The train of gypsies isnt the problem.. its the 2 werewolves and 2 gargoyles that rape ya from behind not to mention a constant stream of lower level DEs popping everywhere. -Sammiel Balthazar Lans T' Vyll
Recently I solo'd 99% of this Faction Frenzy zone. That right I came here to get faction, and if I got a rare drop newbies in the zone got very happy. Simple enough to do, Conjured myself up an Earth Elemental, Burn Out II, Lava Shield. After killing the tower and working my way into the back enterance of Castle my pet finally dies from a ranger I was help get her granite(pet died because she got overzealous and attacked something...which she later apologized from attacking). So I summoned another pet rebuffed and proceeded my wiping the place out. When I got to the 'Dreaded Gypsies' my pet was so bloodlust insane he ran inside without being told and cleared them all out before I could step in and say /pet calm down or /pet get lost .... I thought I was dead meat... I kept getting Taunting Master(ok who is he taunting me or the mobs)he finally gets done and comes back at 9% health. At this point I want to know what he killed and who pissed him off so badly. So I reward him with sleep and out comes Zoner his brother(clue here).I never get to loot as Zoner over pulls something that kills him extremely fast, that 1% I mentioned wasn't too happy his Castle was empty. Gate not mem'd, open book, /book 3, mem gate, gate, ....isn't nexus a beautiful place. Ok so I ran from the Mayor while Soloing. I'm bold not stupid.
3 people above lvl 50 asking if they could do this gypsie?!!? clear the room!?!?! specially the mage that asked that, i mean come on, ya can chain pet tarbul earthstrander, and yer pet can solo hill giants and yer asking if ya can solo this room?!?!!?! the monk that wants to know if he can FD to split the mob?!?!!?, please my druid (who's faction could not possibly get any worse here) is only lvl 38 and she can go in grab gypsie DoT rinse repeat, and the gypsie is dead by the time we get back to the ramp. What nothing agro's on me ole way back?!?!!??!? haha thats right nothing, ever hear of Sow, Camo (on way in), snare, DoT (gypsie), lull every other creat i see, sure cast camo again on yer way out if ya want or just lull everything. Camp yer magician at bottum of ramp and get ready to camp, log in and loot
hahaha my freind is a lvl 51 warrior, him and a lvl 53 shaman had to spend 45 min trying to clear a path to her! they finaly had the shammy buffs sow's and everything else on him, then they had the shammy agro the whole place to the zone, while the warrior pulled the gypsy out of the castle!
Um I'm a vlv 51 druid...maxed KoS in this castle and I can't walk in there withoutevergreen in the area from aggroing me. After all That's why there is a faction factor. BTW we dont get lull, we get harmony at a very early lvl. Huh I dont remeber druids being able to use lull. anyway the hard part is getting to this NPC. she has to be in line of sight to cast on here and most of these things see through camo or invis. my two cents.

for the lupine gaunts its a ww claw, not talon. gypsies spawn in the room with the piano, if you go in to front, you get into that hall type place with the 2 stair cases coming down. the gypsies are just past that room (staying on the same floor, don't go up the stairs, go under them), there are 2 entrances from that side into the piano room.
Alright. the level 25 and up on the crafted bp is not really correct. The gypsy musicians pop in the ballroom in the MM castle. THere is lots of nasty stuff that pops in and around there. I would say it would at least take a full group of low level 30's to have a chance at clearing it. My friend and i had a 57 pally clear it for us though. WE didnt get the talons though. =(. ANyways. There sometimes might be an undead spawn in there which means it will see through camo and regular invis. It's not always there, but be ready for it.
that sucks that you have to go to the castle i was hoping that the Gypsys would spawn in the G.Y. or by the lake or even at the bottom of the ramp to go to the castle
-peace-
If you are ever on the rathe server send Sallazare a tell thats me
I hear that those gypsies arent nearly as strong in the day time, dont aggro, still drop quest items, I haven found this out for myself yet but I am interested? Truth or rumor Please let me know?
I got this lute tonight, and being extremely torn up at the time, I timed its healing versus a plain mandolin. One minute of plain mandolin healed 63 hp while one minute of princess lute healed 70 hp, yielding an 11% instrument effect for the princess lute.
ive never been to MM before, but it seems kind of odd to me that gypsies would make themselves at home n a castle full of sadistic dark elves. Why are they here?
Well Mayong Mistmoore is a vampire, or at least according to the story. In many stories of vampiric lore the gypsies were the servents of powerful vampire nobles, often protecting the estate during the day. Its just my guess that these gypsies are aligned with MM in the same fashion.
For those looking to hunt these they are located in the castle. The front door is the easiest way to get their room. The foyer, with the "pool" lamps, has a stair case down which leads to the small room where the gypsies spawn. There are about 8 - 10 mobs in this small space at full pop and one is typcially undead and will see through invis. In order to break to room myself, a 46 SK, a 46 druid and 47 enchanter where all that we needed. I recommend buffing prior to entering the castle. I stood in the middle of the room and pulled everything including 2 pops just outside just by bashing on of the gypsies. The chanter then worked his crowd control after everything had begun hitting me and I had done some damage to build up aggro. It took a while to clean up but wasn't too painful. Just make sure your chanter waits for you to grab it all and has plenty of mana, this is not the time nor the place to end up shorthanded. Best place for the chanter to be is on the left side away from the undead until you pull the room, and you will pull it all and maybe a few extras. Druid can also root park a few which makes for easy going. Even if things go a bit arye just make sure you snare these mobs, and not a low level snare they have a habit of warping and if they can still move that becomes a large problem. Hope your hunting goes as well as ours did. BTW I did not get a lute of that run, it was strictly a test to help out our friend to complete his lambent BP.
Again all these posts and little real information . The musician doesn't hang out in grave yard and to camp the gypsies you need at least group of 4 or 5 lvl 30 and up, which no one ever seems to mention. Plz if you have camped this area give more dewtailed info on where and what to expect.
