what i do for 3 boxing this mission is i have just my tank do the clicks and zone out after each step (leave the other 2 chars outside b/c mobs seem to auto-aggro any group members in zone), sometimes it seemed to press buttons and mess up the order if i didnt zone out.

once mr t here spawned i pulled him using the paladin and the wizard using decession on the pal to clear mob aggro .. T hangs out for a bit at the zone in usually just long enough for me to zone and have him single then pull him to a corner where my wiz and cler are

edit: you CAN also just fight tallon at his spawn point as long as no one has aggro on anything in the zone.. just keep him centered there on the table or so and don't aggro the lab assistants running on the outside circle

I actually find it easier to fight him in place than pull him to zone in. Just tell your group to keep him on the table and not aggro the mobs running around the outside circle. Also, tell your group to stand on the table. if they're too far out on the edge of the area where you fight tallon you will aggro the mobs running on the outer circle.

i reccommend zoning out after each click. it gets buggy if you try to do more than 1 at a time.

2.) FD between emotes.
3.) Spawn named.
4.) Run to named, hit Imitate Death.
5.) If no other adds next to you, pull named down to zone in.
6.) Kill, Loot.

Anyone discovered a trick yet for pulling this mob single?

I've tried various pull "styles" and on occasion I get him single but I'm not sure what it is I did "right" for those pulls.

I do notice he never follows you through the portal. He finds some other way to get out of his room and usually ends up at the bottom of the ramp even before the puller.

What I do lately is aggro him with proximity aggro using the tank, then the tank rushes through the portal and JUMPS to the bottom. Then the group waits around fro Tallongast to show up at the bottom. If we see some of the adds coming, usually there is enough time to evac or zone out.

But it appears to be hit or miss whether adds come along... maybe it just depends on whether the adds are wandering close enough to pick up aggro from Tallongast as he makes his way downstairs.

This guy's max hit on a decent-ac tank isn't too bad (1500-2000 but lots of lower hits) but he does flurry often and a high set of flurry hits can mean instant death unless the tank has some serious HPs. Clerics don't use Complete Heal with this mob with lighter-weight tanks or your CH spell will land on a corpse.

Red to you means three or more levels higher than you. (So red to you at 70 is 73+)

the blade is the common drop
the augments are uncommon

mob hits max 1.7 on 2.7 kac - no really challenge to a good group

All of his drops are fairly common, i have seen about an equal spread of each, perhaps a few less of the 10ac 60/60/60 aug and maybe a few more blades, but pretty even.

The blade is the rare drops - I have done this mission at least 25 times and Augs are Common - Have only seen one blade so far.
