did this fight the other night, parsed out to be 800 dps on a 14k sk tank, fully defensive. Our offensive dmg to it was between 550k and 600k, with a dps around 1500. fight took 9 min in total.

Did this quest today working on the Depths of Darkhollow task for the The Skull of Den Lord Rakban quest.

Some of these posts are not completely accurate.

He hits for 2735 max, he doesn't flurry or rampage. He has no AE tricks that I recall, he's just a straight up melee mob. (Though according to some he has AE's but I don't remember any.)

Group make-up at the time was Paladin (me), Druid, Druid, Cleric, Necromancer & Enchanter (bot combo).

With the HP buffs available (Conviction and self buffs) I had about 13.3k hp, 2370ac, 6% shielding I think and about 20 avoidance. Mostly DoD stuff rewards sprinkled with a couple raid drops.

The way he works is this...

Once you get him to 80% Life, he will heal to 100%.

Then once you get him to 60% Life, he will heal to 100%.

Then once you get him to 40% Life, he will heal to 100%.

Then once you get him to 20% Life, he will heal to 100%.

Then once you get him to 0% Life, he will heal to 50%.

Kill him the rest of his 50% life and you will finally defeat him.

Once you set off a heal stage, he will not do it again. So you can, for example, get him to set off his 20% healing, then evac and med up.

When you come back you can fight him down to his 0% heal stage, and he will heal to 50% then just finish him off... this is what we did because we just ran out of steam (mana) after he set off his 20% heal.

Cleric did keep DI on me and it fired a few times.

It was pure luck I had two druids with me at the time, we were just kind of doing this blind with not really reading up on it much.

But if you have an average geared tank in your regular set up, you do have the option to keep evaccing and medding, as long as you set off a heal stage on him. Eventually you can defeat him this way but it may take a while.

Max hit was 2735, it's a pretty rough battle but you will feel good when you finally get it out of the way.

What we ended up doing was pulling him through the under water tunnels past Korlach, the Deep Leviathan and into the basilisk room... that way if there was a wipe we would be able to get corpses with safety (because the zone does not repop anymore).

I got a HoT on me and ran down, threw a stun on him and hauled butt back to the group. Used melee guard disc until he was slowed, and assisted with spot healings with my own mana as I could.

Think that's about it, good luck if you try him out, I hope this info can prepare you just a little bit more about what to expect.

Didn't heal at 0% for us. We might have killed it fast enough or something.

He won't repeat his heals. We got him down to the last heal at 0%, which took him back to 50%, but then our casters ran OOM and we wiped. Came back for a 2nd shot and he did not do the heal thing. So, if you come up short take heart, you can do it!

Hits for 500-1500 with a anguish geared tank. He regens 5-6 times during the fight and is very annoying. Casts a few ae's that max resists can avoid. Otherthen that pretty gimp mob
