They summon and hit hard.
A level 75 ranger, with 13.3 K hp self buffed, 2700 AC, and 900 or so aa's, died quickly to summoning of about every five seconds (faster than most summoners I have encountered), with hits of 138 to 945. He was in a group of three, all DB, but I don't know if they were all 'a drachnid hunter'. This is the only non-named drachnid I have ever encoutered which summons. This was in the non-instanced Stoneroot Falls.

There are 3 in a group on the right side outside of the entrance.
Any level 70+ drachnid in the non-instanced version of the zone summon (which includes these 3, the 3 named and their level 71 PH inside the compound).
