I soloed here as a necro in my high 30s....very dangerous place if your spells are not undead specific spells.. Very nasty..

Necros, pallys, clerics, and SK's have fun...
Most everything was blue to me..rarely a black

tho im totally out of the area now i have been killed here in the past and yes the harm touch sux but as you gain lv's you gain hp and power... personally i (my warrior) could take his ht without really flinching maybe a lil more than a bubble if not less. about 1500 hp unbuffed at 35 i could keep runnin on my way np you should try fighting/running away from frost giants... you have absolutley no chance to escape them without sow unless zone is real near, in a group , or there are some people to pull them offa ya.... and things get worse lol but ill leave it at that

ok heres the deal most kith mobs are low 30's high 20's except for enraged dread wolves which are high 30's. the shadowknight mobs here harm touch from 200-400 hp but dont hit very hard.
most 85% of the mobs here are green at 45 except for enraged and dak elves and the occaisonal ghoul cleric :) anyway this place is good xp and loot of you come here at night at L33 or so

Well im kinda new to eq but a lot of my friends play. At the time I had a lvl 9 barbarian shm and i needed to get to halas. Not wanting to pay for a port to NK i got my lvl 16 pally friend to help lead me to halas because he was more familliar with the zones. I had no clue that it turned into a high lvl zone at night so my friend made us site outside the zone until morning then we continued. We stayed right along the edge and had absolutly no trouble. Then on my way back a few days later (i was on my own only a lvl 10 shm now) i was running through kith. I zoned in at about 4pm and figured i could make it. I started running and i made it through in about 1 eq hour even when my friends said that i might not make it. the only thing that attacked me was a bixie drone and i just flew right by it not wanting to fight because i was naked with all my stuff in the bank. So i haven't had to much trouble with kith (yet) but im very cautious because my friend (a lvl 46 ranger at the time) said there was a lot of stuff that cons blue to him there
NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER go to Kith if you are under l

Trust me, this zone should just be AVOIDED unless you are insanley powerful or insanley insane. Of course i am talking to people under the 30th level. Even in the day time this zone is hell. I was once a young Druid making a pass to WC foolishly at night with NO knowledge of the undead and the pure evil that curses this forest at night, i was walking along the wall with camo on to make sure i do not get any random encounters and out of NOWHERE, i was tapped for 450 HPs and saw a quad attack of 70's coming my way and next i knew, loading, plz wait. I made another trip in the daytime and the SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED. Even along the wall. Now, i even got my *** wiped with my level 30 SK, its just at level 30 and above, you have enough HPs to absorb some damage in your atempt to flee kith. In all reality, this zone should just be avoided like the plague. snag a port from a friend to WC if you must, just don't even BOTHER with Kith unless you must go there. I've been killed countless times here even in the day time with a level 30, this zone is just unsafe as hell. Even worse thing happened to me with my level 8 Druid, got mauled by 4! undead at once. Just AVOID this plaxce

I have gone here with my level 34 necro. Most of the undead con blue to yellow. Every once in a while there is a low red there. In a group of 34-39, we killed every undead that we pulled. definatly NOT even near level 50.

The day and night rule works fine as long noone disturbed an undead at night, then they wont despawn at dawn.

Yesterday I went into Kithicor for the very first time, not knowing about the night/day differences...

So, anyway, I'm on my way to Rivervale (might as well see it on my way through), coming from WC. I see what looks like a ghoul, but it's an undead cleric... conned red. (I was a level 18 pally) I give him a wide berth and keep going. Next one I see is an skeleton lieutenant or something, also conning red... I see other undead wandering around, and I start thinking maybe this wasn't such a good idea, so I turned around and headed back to WC.

I make it back to the house nearest to the zone, and all of a sudden I get Feared... It says "zombie trooper" in my target bar, but damned if I saw him...

You know how this story ends...

To add insult to injury, I spawn back in Freeport, grab some cash from the bank and get some emergency food and my 2-handed practice sword, and run back to WC.

Outside Kithicor, it's now 10-11 am, but rememver I still didn't know about the day/night business, so I ask a cleric to help me find my corpse. He says "What do you need help for? It's daylight." He agreed to help me anyway, so I zoned in... eyes peeled for undead... hmm.. I'm alone, the guy never showed up... prolly got dropped to the server list like I do sometimes when I zone..

All I saw were two bixies who attacked me, which didn't last long against my two-handed practice sword..

Got my corpse back, and learned an important lesson:

"Kithicor at night; BAD!"

*sigh* i was a lvl 19 Druid, was coming from HHP to WC to get my spells (did not know about the Kith night rule) I was walking along the path and suddenly out of no where comes this Tooper, he said something along the line of "Now your flesh shall rot as mine is" (or something like that) came out nuke knocked me unconsious and then he Whacked me, needless to say i died, Welcome back to lvl 18!

Same story, different level. I WAS a 16 Enchanter...buffing and Breezing everyone in sight. I'm OMW to Beholder for some fun, going through Kith minding my own bees-wax...BAM! It had to have been a 300 DD because his next attack was a 36 point melee. Flop...you are now Level 15.

Now I'm camped at the Kith-WC zone, I'm biding my time until the friggin sun comes up. All this time I thought Kith Forest was the Rivervale Newbie Zone. ARGH! Serves me right for assuming.

A few levels ago, when I was a levl. 20 Ranger, making a trip to Highhold. I was waiting at the commons zone for the night time spawn to dissolve, and a Trooper cast some spell on me, and took me from Full HP, to one bubble of health in one shot..Thankfully I was at the zone and I made a quick exit...What was that lovely spell?

I don't know but I got tagged by two of these at one time last night. I'm a 36 cleric with 76 Magic Resist. I was well buffed and had 1500 HPs. Two casts and I was dead. Yes, 750 damage per cast of the spell. Couldn't believe it so I checked my logs. Only two casts. Last time I take on undead in Kith for a LONG time. What the heck is a blue doing casting spells that kill me in 3 seconds flat?

Friend told me that it is like the Shadow Knight Harm Touch powers, so if you all know how much a 35th level SK HT's for, then you can do the math and see if that is the case.

Yeah I do know, the SK troll in Rathe MTN. deals harm touch but for only 300-400hp and he's level 35. Did anyone read what the effect did on you?(e.g. when you get rooted, a message will pop up saying "your feet are adhere to the ground")
RE: zapped by a spell
# Dec 26 2000 at 12:37 AM Rating: Default
the message for HT is "you writhe in the grip of agony" and there are more than one of these things, so yes they can eat up your HP very quickly. Lucky for me im a necro, so i have my numerous escape spells (ITU prevents in the first place for many of these mobs, if that dont work, Harmshield and run, if that dont work, Feign and Gate) necros rock
oh also... harm touch IS, i repeat IS resistable, though prob pretty tough to do (ive only done it once and that was dueling a deep green for fun)
