I had a Grizzly try and KS me when I was killing the orc chief in Kithicor while hunting for a Shiny Brass Idol. The bear then turned on me and I slayed it (surprising to me, since Antonica bears don't attack rangers that often). When I killed it, I received a message that my faction with "Bear" had gotten worse.
Never seen it before. I guess it's been there for a while, but it wasn't on the faction page. Maybe because it's exclusive only to this zone, not sure.

Can anyone else confirm this faction hit? If so, is the faction hit specific to the Kithicor version of the grizzly bear?
This is also part of a very nice quest for Halflings...Leatherfoot Raiders Skullcap. This skin is only one of four skin/hides that get collected and turned in for a really nice stat item for Druids,Clerics,Rogues and Warriors of the Halfling persuasion
Tried to get a group and take it out but everyone just watched and waited like vultures and when I had to zone to survive someone swooped in and finished it off. I know this happens but it seems like BB has more of a younger childlike personality behind the character than some other zones

The shaman had probably levelled while in the zone, and was probably actually level 8 when you conned him. If you level, it takes a while before the /who command will notice that you have levelled unless you zone. You also may see a difference with "/who" and "/who all" - if someone has an illusion up, /who will show their illusioned race (or unknown if they are in wolf/skeleton/tree/etc. form), but "/who all" will show their actual race.
hey if these things are realy are in blackburrow. somebody plz tell me where they are.i mean ive spent so many levels with all my pepole in there it would knock you down!

The way I figure it must have been a guy sucking it off because I saw a **** and it didn't look like a strap-on. The message has been provided for no particular reason except to annoy, humor, or otherwise.

This thing just spawns right in the middle of the lower level characters on the upper level of bb. It usually terrorizes the newbies before it is slain by either a 10th level or higher character, or a group of lowlies gangs up on it. This thing can be a nasty surprise when you're up top fighting the scrawny gnolls, and all of a sudden you're being attacked by a grizzly bear seemingly from out of nowhere. Rumor holds that the bear spawns after the Giant Plague Rat has been slain, and once the bear is dead, Tranixx Darkpaw is supposed to spawn.
Heiglot has the order correct. After the giant plague rat is slain, about 2 minutes later the grizzly spawns, and then after it is slain, Tranixx will spawn about 2 minutes later.

As a barb shaman only 2 bubs into 9, while they con yellow or even to me, if I'm full on HP and mana, I can take them out. The key for me is to use my Damage over Time spells on them, while having a SoW on. I cast the first spell, run like hell, cast again and then melee and cast with direct damage spells. If you're not a caster, or a caster without DoT's, don't even try this at 9 or under unless you have SoW on. Whack (or cast) run, then whack or cast again, until it's down on HP before you stand and melee. And a warning, I went after 1 in West Karana, and had another 2 wandering by just jump on me while I was still fighting the first one, so be careful, 'cause it's tough to do when they're even or yellow.
