Kaiaren (raid)  

So I didnt check this mobs posts until after I took him down. The first 2 fights were fairly simple, so I thought he would just be the easier part of the epic as well. Holy crap was I wrong....

Took him down today with 1X 70 monk(30AA) + T1 Cler merc, 1X 70 Shammy(150AA) + T1 Tank merc, and 1X 63 drood(25AA) + T1 DPS Merc. I was playing monk and boxing shammy, and shammy ended with about 24% mana, but was chain canni the whole fight. Merc was OOM at 85%, so I was about to drood evac. Stuck with it though, blanket healed on shammy with AoE HoT and spot healed. Was also able to land slow after hitting it with Malo line.

AoE stun was pretty annoying, merc would drop to 15% sometimes. Just be aware, he hits for a huge AoE really long stun (10 seconds or so). We arent anything special and was able to do it, but I would recommend being a bit higher, or having a few higher lvl friends with you if you are 70. Really nasty fight.

Did this with 85 guild monk today, 85 necro, chanter, warrior.

Corruption dots worked, life tap worked. Nothing else worked . - didn't try splart, he was almost dead anyways. Just spammed him with call skeleton swarm - it's melee damage, and taps, really. He is NOT immune to mana reiterate aura. So even if he resists your casts , you can still hurt him with the recourse. Chanter slow did not stick at first but did stuck after tash. He reissted mind twist and polychaotic assult. SHoulda had a pet up for this on chanter. Oh well.

He got one lick in on my warrior for 1665, and another for 1200, most hits were in the ~ 400-500 range. He summons.

Took about 4 or 5 minutes.

Duo'd today with 85 Mage + 74 Monk, both had cleric mercs.
Mage's pet was tanking, fight took long, this mob has a lot of hp.

Took him down today, 80 war, 80 monk, 80 shammy, 80 cleric. Cleric was at 60% mana when it was over. Kaiaren has quite a few HP, so it took a few to bring him down. I had over 500 magic resist for the fight and his proc hit me 3-4 times. The ramp wasn't bad, had to use mend once when the warrior got hit with the the proc (spin/stun) and I was tanking.

When I turned in the sash and 2 polished stones to Kaiaren I did receive a character flag (don't remember what it said and could not pull up the text), so I am assuming if you fail this fight all you need to do is rehail to start the fight again (no flames if this is not correct) to continue on your quest for the 2.0.

On failure, will you lose your polished symbols of Tranquility and Focus? Probably a dumb question but its late!! =D If you do would you be able to kill the Disciples again for the symbols? Thanks!

Just did this fight last night with a raid force of 14 Tacvi geared guildmates. He is on the far NW island on top of the hill.

1. He is slowable (chanter had a hard time getting it to stick) and snarable

2. Max hit for 2650ish

3. AOE RAMP he uses this alot and since the top of the hill is not that large people got chewed up fast.

4. Procs AOE Wave of Fury: Decreases hp 1750, Spinstuns, PB, Magic Resist -300 (I resisted this most of the time)

5. A truckload of HP

6. Summons; This was odd, sometimes it would seem like he would start summoning people at random right before he used the AOE Ramp.

Push was an issue and the tank had to move him often to keep him away from the 3 clerics/2 druids so AOE wouldn't chew them up.

ah yes, this guy spawned on a poor lvl 55 warriors head (*cough* me *cough) ..that HURT
lets see, im sitting there innocently slaughtering the race of aviaks, i had been around and on the entire island already and hadnt seen him, and suddenly an aviak starts running

Its been a while since i killed him. But by now he is 1 groupable. Believe hes slowable yes. Got alot of hp too, his ae is just fun everyone spins :P Get a good tank and a cleric who wont go oom by CH'ing tank, a slower and rest should just be dps. I believe he wasnt rooted as he got pushed around. I dont know if he despawn upon failures. Think when hes downed he spawn 2-3 hours after again.

anyone happen to know the respawn on this mob.
the other 2 deciples were on a 6 min respawn, i highly doubt that this guy would also be on a 6 min respawn.

He uses "Wave of Fury" instead of rage...damn that would be rough if he really used that!
