Anyone else ever see Porous on this guy?
Killed him last night and he had no drops at all.

Do You have to kill a bunch of mobs to get to him or can invis to his spot and kill? I recently came back to game and are trying to catch up. Need to know if this is a quick kill mission, or a long crawl to Gimblax. Thanks.
Quickest mission to get faction imo. While you don't need to kill or so anything else in the mission, there are some see invis (all the casters in the zone). Depending on your class, you can run to gimblax, kill him and zone out though

Just trio'd ol Gimblax.
71 Nec (me), 75 Mage and Cleric (cleric was blue to me but anon, so 68-70).
Mage used earth pet with all the trimmings and conviciton buff. I just used necro pet haste, protection of calliv and turned taunt off. Healed some, tossed maybe one or two dots. Cleric just healed the pet. Nuked when Gimblax started to enrage. He killed my pet a few times. Summoned another and thru him back in the fight. Lasted about 5 minutes or so.
BTW, Gimblax is not 75. He was blue to 75 mage and yellow to 71 necro. So more like 72/73 range.

Tanked him for the first time last night. I'm a 70 warrior buffed to 10k and 1700ac. Almost died right away as the healers were a bit slow on the uptake but popped defensive and made it ok. Defensive ended when he was about 30%. I was ready for his rampage/etc and when it hit I managed to pop my fortitude discipline, this saved my bacon. Without it I would have died as I sat at 11% health for about 3 seconds before the complete heal landed. After that we finished him off no problem.
Just goes to show how differently these things can go. We did it last night with a Druid as only healer but had
70 Pally, 70 zerker, 70 monk, 70 Chanter, 69 SK
Druid had to keep hopping to get the fast heals off and popped SotG once but no deaths.

well have tried to kill this mob 6 times now. 1st 3 times we had a 70 shaman 67 war 70 cleric 67 chanter and a 70 druid. seems we do fine till he starts his rampage and flurry attacks. had him down to 2% and wiped :) any ideas on the best arrangement of grp in order to take this mob down ? 2nd round <3 > tries, we had <2> 70 clerics <1>70 bst lord <1>70 sk <1>67 chanter <1>69 war and we where able to get him down to 5% and wiped this try grrrrr....
again any ideas ?????

As a 9.5k/1700 tank my score is
gimblax 3 me 1
Had Cleric and Druid healing twice.
Finally won with Cleric and Shaman healing.
Of course lots of tanks have more hps/ac
but now you know what to expect.

Hits for 1240 max... Flurried 12 times before he finally dropped me when he was at about 20% Never rampaged once. Immune to stun, so as a paladin i could not stun lock him.

A guildie who needed mission to finish Tier one could not find a Tank so I volenteerd to Tank him ( Im 75 Cleric 11.6 k HP's 2.3k AC ) had 68 cleric in group healing , 68 druid , 75 zerker and a 68 chanter. Was hitting fast when we first engaged , but once slowed was NP. Max hit was 1155 but that was rare. He did flurry couple times and ramped at the end, but was no contest. BTW he is not immune to stun if you have a stun that works on mobs over lvl 70. Hope this helps
12k hp+ Paladin with 2,000 ac+, 8% shielding, and all defensive aas, max hit for me was 971.
He hasn't any spell effects. Just rampage, flurry and summons.
BTW, the ranking as "Raid Encounter" doesn't really fit to him because you'll meet him during a group mission.
